Thank you. I really do agree. There is just nothing down there at that time!

I do wish we knew where she was seen on CCTV and which direction she was heading?

Was she on the casino side or the other side?

So many questions...

Sadly I think this isn't going to have a good outcome.

And also does anyone know who she had an argument with? Was it a friend she was out with? Or a boyfriend/ex - over the phone? Would she have been able to use her phone in Campus? Does it have wifi?

Who she had the argument with is on the FB Group and it's discussed in a bit of detail in one of the earlier posts. It would seem from that, it was a group of girls. Obviously all rumour though since it came from Facebook chat.

I am surprised about the location of the last cctv sighting of Kirsty as already mentioned it would be have been likely she would have been picked up again no matter what direction she was headed in once on Broomielaw.

Within the reports it is mentioned that she crossed the road after coming off of James Watt St onto Broomielaw, this in my mind would take you onto the Casino (River Clyde) side. I will find a link to show the wording but it definitely made me think that when she crossed at that part of the road she didn't travel much further as I find it hard to believe she wouldn't be seen again on CCTV if she had.

Just had a look around street view, it's from last august so the bus lane on Broomielaw was being built at the time - there are bus stops along there now and cctv to catch drivers who shouldn't be driving in it.

I spotted this camera though so I think this actually may be where the sighting is from, the angle would be right.

Can you send me link to the FB group? Is it one to find her? I'll go back and re-read thank you :)

I was wondering this too... I think there must be CCTV cameras right along that area, concidering how central it is.
Perhaps they have info they are not releasing.

I can see another CCTV camera if you were heading down towards the casino way.

I'm also wondering what business are down there? Some big offices surly monitored by CCTV? Any 24 hour offices or guards I wonder? I know my friends sister works in an insurance office and she does a nightshift 3 nights a week but I don't know about weekends.

Sorry to keep asking questions of the locals but - had she somehow ended up in the river, near where they've searched today - how likely is it that they would've found her, going on previous examples perhaps?

This girl, Sarah Goldie, entered the Clyde near the Broomielaw, two men jumped in after her to try and save her, and it took a month for her body to be found.

If you jump in the Clyde you're likely to get stuck in the mud at the bottom, it takes a few weeks for the gases being released to free your body before you surface. That's why it takes so long.

Did Police divers go in looking for the girl?

Breaks my heart :( where I live, there's 3 multi-story car parks and they seem to be 'the' place for quite a few who're suicidal... from what we've got to go on mind, I just don't think it seems like something Kirsty would do :/

Thanks for all your discussion posts and news updates I can't believe there is no news. Kirsty's family must be going through hell her poor children it's just awful.

Does anyone local know if there is still a bar on Clyde Street where the Barfly used to be? If there is, surely they'd have cctv on the door. I'd be surprised if the Eurohostel doesn't have some sort of cctv covering their entrance too.

Edit: It'd clarify which direction she went/didn't go in.

No I don't think so but the mention of Barfly brought back some good memories - thanks!

I would think so about the EuroHostel especially since it has a bar in it with a late license.

Can anyone pinpoint the exact location of the cctv footage so I can look on the map?

I think the police know information.

I put a google maps link to where I believed the cctv was taken yesterday evening so check my previous posts.

I'll walk down there later and see if I can see any other cameras close by.
Re Sarah Goldie of course the police searched for her, it's incredibly difficult to find someone in the Clyde.

Ahh barfly makes me nostalgic. It did re open but think its closed down again.
Ya know the side street just along from barfly, that leads onto st enoch? Im fairly sure thats got a cctv pole at that junction, I stayed in the gcns halls and used to walk that way "home" most weekends.

Finding a person in the River Clyde is extremely difficult even when the location of entry is known and with little time passed, it took almost 3 months for one of my in laws to be located :( and to be honest it was by chance even then that he was found.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I just hope Kirsty's family gets an answer as to what has happened it's not looking good.
