Missing Libby Squire: This is what happened on the eleventh day of searches for Hull student #HelpFindLibby

Libby: Eleven days of searches but desperate wait for answers goes on
It’s been eleven days. No contact, no sightings, no clothing found, no personal belongings found.
The police have viewed hundreds of hours of cctv and spoken to countless potential witnesses and social media and MSM have been viewed by millions.
LS can’t just vanish but she has but in this modern world of technology and big brother watching us all how can this have happened?
Somebody, somewhere is missing something and they need to bring in some help if they are unable to sort this themselves.

Devil's advocate: Unless he is singing like a cannary in jail I find it suspicious the police didn't have any idea who committed these crimes 2 weeks ago but are suddenly sure it is this guy. Even if they found some similar items (to those stolen) in his house, how do you positively ID knickers or sex toys as belonging to someone else?

Perhaps he left DNA or prints before and they found the match when they brought him in for Libby?

Jmo they must have staff looking at road cameras all over the place, trying to find his car? Like on “Line of Duty” lol...they can always find every car if they look long enough...(season 4 is really good...)

Absolutely they are doing this.

That's what I mean: what happened during that half hour between taxi and bench when she was seen? I can't understand either why she wasn't noticed by more drivers. Even at that time of night I would have thought there'd still be reasonable flow of traffic. And if that cyclist coming out of Haworth Road turned left, what might he have seen?

Doesn't have to be much for some people to get emotional after drinking (and bear in mind Libby had MH issues). It's cold, maybe nowhere to go, not much money after paying taxi, no phone and potentially a very long wait until friends reappear if the club is open til 3.

I had a 6-month hiatus from socialising with a female friend who could turn into a bit of a mare as she would pre-load before going out, even if it was just for drinks and a meal (and this was well beyond student days). It was like flicking a switch; talking normally, then suddenly became a tearful mess. Sometimes it was over boyfriend or work, sometimes there was no particular reason, then she'd cry even harder for spoiling my evening

I can’t see a bit about having a dog ?
His neighbour JG says to the DM: He said they had children and a dog, adding: 'It is quite a shock to find this kind of police activity at their home to say the least'

The uni sent out an email in January for students to watch out for bag snatchers on bikes. Nothing about flashers etc.

Yeah, when I was at uni (in a small town where the majority of people are students), the university never informed us about things like this. Even on occasions when several female students had been sexually harassed/attacked. I know it sounds odd because you'd hope that student safety would be the absolute priority, but some universities are extremely reluctant to admit that any crimes have happened on or near campus, whether students have been involved or targeted.

Others have commented that people around Libby's age don't tend to follow police on SM - this is definitely true of all of my FB friends! Everyone I know is either from my university or local area, and none of them follow the police in either area. Although it might not surprise you that I do haha ;)

Re the localised searching, I think they’ll have PR’s car on CCTV/triggering ANPR cameras so they pretty much know any route he has taken that night and that is informing their searches.

That would be if he was driving around. Hmmm. Have we discounted any chance he had access to another vehicle? Normal check-off on the list, right?

Oh great! A dog. I hadn't seen that. Thanks for posting!

Edit: this was in reply to the photo of a police dog at PR's house that @Griffinlay posted. I had quoted the post but for some reason it's not showing.
Hah! I went in your note, had no idea about dogs (Except in a really sad story in South Dakota. 9 year old girl ran away from a care-home, dogs working with icicles on their chins. She ran out, no jacket, a long sleeved grey shirt with flowers, blue jeans and snow boots. I'll get the link. Her name is Serenity Dennard.

ACTIVE SEARCH - SD - Serenity Dennard, 9, Children’s Home Society, Pennington County, 3 Feb 2019

Is it possible that the Police are searching in the park because of something PR has told them, possibly on purpose to send them in the wrong direction? Could he have said that she was heading in the direction of the park in an attempt for them to concentrate their efforts on looking in the wrong place?

Could the Police actually be searching a different target, at a different spot? I hope this doesn't sound outlandish. But we're all watching, "where they are." What else are they pursuing, that we are not going to be privy to? Yeah, No?

It was the day after the arrest. It was on Hull Daily Mail. I could not find it a few mins ago but Google found it for me.
I honestly went blank. So many good posts looking for answers in here. I promise, I won't respond to too awful many. Back to lurker mode :)

This has most likely been answered. I see 2014 in the article date, in the header. I cannot access the website. It keeps telling me to disable my 'ad-debilitating-device'. Nope, don't think so. But under their blocking note you can see 2014. Where was he living in 2014?

These may have been answered, but I hope to offer clarification on my 2C.

See, Id be inclined to ask anyway to see if both parties had an exact match what they said.
LE knows to do that, right? I would think some story comparing might be what got them to here. IMO they have been seeing everything that we have. They are allowing us to watch them, out in the open....
“A drone has also been used over a large fishing pond.”

Libby Squire disappearance: 'Eerie' screaming heard as student vanishes

Margarita you are amazing fast! I had just got to reading that ?, and you had the answer! Right there for us! Thank you!

Has LE revealed how many drones are involved in this sad case? It seems like they would be covering many more locations, IMO MHO

Just in case anyone is still baffled by the police still searching his property......

They are clearly in possession of a piece of information which the public does not have.

This information has led to this individuals arrest and now his charges....

It would seem that the last part of the puzzle is locating Libby

There is no way that the police would be focusing so intently on one line of thought unless they had some pretty convincing reason.

Not least because not considering any other suspect would in itself be considered as prejudicial and would not look at all good on humberside police if it turned out to be wrong.

I think that we can assume that a significant find is coming sooner rather than later.

The things that currently occupy my thoughts:

1. Would a distressed, upset girl that is too drunk to be let into a student nightclub really be able to recall the postcode of a house she's not long moved into? If not, then we have to assume that he already had Libbys address for some reason. Which leads me to...

2. I still think there's a high chance he was working in tandem with someone else. This someone else could well be a taxi driver, hence already knowing her address and hence burglary dates being vague (taxi driver takes residents to train station/airport with suitcase then passing the info on to him). The vague dates indicate to me that the residents were away for a period of time so therefore don't know the day they were burgled.

That is shocking, to say the least. Did the university not report these incidents to the police? How on earth did they (the university) ignore the complaints? A university campus is not absolved of UK law FGS - such attacks may have escalated.

Good excuse for late night walks too. “Just takin’ the dog out love...”
That was my thinking...! Nice walks round that park to scope it out...possibly?

It was mentioned in a previous thread that a member of the public’s dog found the Nike trainers...do you remember? I’m wondering who that person was? Could it have been him trying to throw off scent or is my imagination running away with me!!?

Does no one have neighbourhood watch anymore?

Back in my days of living in suburbia in the 80s all the neighours used to meet once a month about this kind of stuff.

I take it you live in the United States it’s not like that here in the uk it use to be well not in every area maybe in small communities

Thanks , first time I’ve seen that , like you said you’d walk a dog in the parkland wouldn’t you !
No worries, first time I’d noticed it too! The police didn’t close off the playing fields to the public at first...wonder if he went back with the dog at night? And if the Police saw him??
