@Steleheart I'm not sure this is appropriate.

She's the victim, not sure her self harming, alcohol consumption or anything else needs discussing in this way!

I absolutely second joolz & felt a pang of sickness! Insinuating excessive alcohol consumption and drug taking go hand in hand with self harm is ill informed and down right offensive. Libby is first and foremost a victim and like every other student was enjoying a night out that involved alcohol.

@Joolz1975 thank you & @Steleheart please have a word. <modsnipped>

I’ve gone back in the thread to when we were discussing the Raglan Street residents letters with the 7 questions on them. None of the links we passed back and forth now contain the list of 7 - so they either never did, or they’ve been edited. Few examples of the conversation below. Suggests to me all 7 were printed? I’m sure I even saw an actual photograph of the letter itself listing them.

Hi Yakus. The interaction with grey beard may not have been at the bench but possibly on the side of the road (eg junction of Beverley and Beresford). If so, that would have been easy for PR to spot. Timings fit, or he may have just noticed Libby before or after grey beard interaction and then swung his car right into Cottingham, right into Haworth and then parked
I seem to remember earlier reports did actually state the junction of the two roads.

Another thing I noticed. Neighbour John saying he didn't know the people who lived in the house where the police were searching.
Another time he said he knew PR and wife re her asking him to speak to the landlord re the fence panel.
Maybe am reading too much into that, he probably meant he didn't really know them only had interaction about the fence.

Also whilst talking about MSM quotes and did/didnt the police find evidence at ORPF. Does anyone remember the white forensic tent that was 'apparently' errected at the playing fields? It was a few days into the search and HullLive were still running live updates. At one point it was said to be confirmed a tent had been errected but Libby still hadnt been found, then later a statement said no tents were in the park although it didnt seem clear if they meant presently or ever. I cant remember if i was reading it here or over on their FB page.
Anyway, at the time i thought that if they HAD errected a tent but not found Libby that would indicate some other evidence that perhaps they didnt want the media/public to have sight of, especially given it was just after hammer/lipgloss/screwdriver gate.

Edited to add i will try to find a link but dont fancy my chances given i remember it being on a 'Live updates' link.
I remember that was weird and conflicting but I can only find 1 link with the denial.

"Earlier this evening there were unsubstantiated claims on social media that a number of “white tents” had been put up on Oak Road playing fields.

However, a spokesman for the force has confirmed there are no white tents on the west Hull field, or in the area, and Libby has not been found."

First thing on Friday when the police appealed for GB to come forward why did they also not also appeal for PR if he approached Libby At the bench.

They put out a description of the grey-bearded man's car, so maybe they didn't have an angle on cctv to get his registration plate and couldn't follow where he went after by any other means. If PR was seen on cctv near the bench, they might have seen him go towards Haworth and asked for cctv in that street and he was easier to track.

Just thinking re the dogs - someone asked ages ago about how soon after death will the smell become apparent, so that the dog starts detecting it?? I’m thinking that if she was killed in the park, say in the bench area, then dragged or carried and placed somewhere before being put in the river - then the dog would have detected the smell?

Supermarket flowers often have a little bag of water inside the packaging.
Just sayin'
I regularly buy flowers from supermarkets and have never had any with a bag of water. They do usually come with a sachet of flower feed, but that's all. In any case, a little bag of water would only be intended to keep them going until they reach their destination - not for permanent display!
I still say leaving the paper on is ugly and pointless, and I'm pleased to see that the bench flowers are shortly to be removed and turned into pot pourri.

As an aside, a tragic event in a town near me was marked by people tying coloured ribbons to trees and lamp posts around the town. Somebody started it, and it caught on. It was rather lovely, and lasted much longer than flowers.

I’ve just done the same! It felt sad because we still had hope back then that Libby might be alive :(

Isn’t it crazy how the mind works, I could swear we’d seen different questions but at some stage back in that thread, I think it’s Ched who says ‘so now we know 5 of the 7 questions. What are the other 2?’ Referring to the quote from MSM.

So it seems nothing has been deleted / altered / removed. We were only ever privy to 5 of the 7 questions and it was suggested the other 2 might be mundane such as ‘state your name and house number’.

I’d convinced myself questions were asked about PR sharing and cleaning that car. I was wrong.

True.

True also, we can't be sure where or how he saw her.

What would help is if that CCTV of her on the bench was made public - we could see PR going up to her, how many times he does this, and whether she walks with him of her own accord, or even if he drags her...
Such publicity would certainly jeopardise any subsequent 'fair trial'

I actually watched this rumour unfold in real time on FB. One post, and away it went until LE had to issue clarification.

Hi again Winterbells - you know, you could be on to something - one of these images is from Google Street view which seems to indicate the road would have been less frequented, even though there are some houses near. The other two are the same general area from Geograph and it does look as though the water is deeper there than I remember. Have to avoid getting snagged on the groynes though
Yep... see!
I have no idea what groynes are, but I daresay they're nowt to a hardened fisherman.

Maybe not, but Nick has an encyclopedic knowledge of subtle variations and modifications. Unfortunately it looks as though he has been exiled from the thread, so we are deprived of his expertise.

Cherwell ... when you say ‘exiled’ ... self imposed? Disappeared? Or banned from posting here?

I was fascinated by Nicks incredible insight. He knew every last detail of that model and put me in no doubt that the car in spider cam was an exact match for PRs. Not just ‘an astra’ but the pack on it, the specialist alloys, he even seemed to understand the colour options and alarm light sequence. I was delighted to hear he’d offered his services to LE as that sort of knowledge is surely invaluable.

EDIT: spelling

But I am 99.9% certain I seen the actual letter. There is a chance I didn’t see it in MSN so that’s maybe why I didn’t mention it, but I can picture it and I am not confusing it with the other letter just asking for any unusual activity reports, it was an actual questionnaire. I know I seen it.
