Relowicz: 'I was trying to commit voyeurism'
He has been asked what he was doing at Oak Road earlier in the evening on January 31.

He said: “I was trying to commit voyeurism.”

Relowicz confirmed he “did not know” people would be around to do this to, but assumed there would be people “in that area.”

He says he would have done it looking into homes or at people in the street.

Relowicz says he got out of his car at Oak Road and “went to those houses [on Claremont Avenue] and walked back to my car.”

He says he wanted “to find a woman for any sex or to commit voyeurism on that street.” He says he walked up and down the street and back to his car. He says he did not look into any houses or masturbate.

Also mentioning his wife and children. What are the divorce laws in the UK? If one spouse refuses to sign. Is there a waiting period that after one spouse does not sign, the court can grant the divorce? As it appears his wife has moved on with her life, has she filed for divorce? Has he not signed? Could it be to keep the divorce out of the media so he can speak to being married with children as his defense? MOO MOO
Because honestly I could not get to a lawyer fast enough to divorce this guy. MOO MOO

She's still using her married name

I'm not 100% sure but I think she could initiate divorce on claims of Adultery. His semen being found on libby being the evidence.

Re time waits, it may have changed since I divorced but back then it was:
No time wait if cause given eg adultery
2 year wait if “no fault” and both agree to divorce
5 year wait if “no fault” but one party does not agree to divorce

I would think irreconcilable differences might be a sure bet for her.

'Do you accept you have a problem?'

He says the items found in his car were stolen and he used the stolen underwear to masturbate.

Mr Saxby has asked: “Do you accept you have a problem?”

He replied: “Yes.”

Relowicz says he has not always accepted this problem, which will be analysed shortly.

When asked about the offences during his police interview, Relowicz dismissed them as “silly.”

Relowicz says: “I had small children and a wife and it was difficult for me to accept I had a problem.”

BBM ~ not fully caught up yet so apologies if anyone else has mentioned this...but wasn't one of his previous offences carried out on 26th December (i forget which year), which is boxing day? ....sure he's a real family man!

I really am curious about how he will handle himself once questioned by the prosecution. He keeps saying fetish and voyeurism like these are words that were drilled into him. Surely that is not how he speaks normally. Well not that he told people of his peeping and wanking but even reliving these moments I do not think he thought those words!
I agree with @JosieJo, the defense is not doing him any favors treating this like normal behavior.

As I've said previously (I think) m have personal, lived experience of this crime (his crimes prior to Libbys murder).

My daughter was 13 and was 6 weeks into recovery from a Stroke.

The man in our case was doing it outside our garden after throwing stones at the window to get her attention, the second time he came in the garden, the third time he climbed on the shed roof attempting to get up to her bedroom window.

We ended up leaving our home out of fear and on advice from police.

My daughter self harmed and attempted suicide.

We, like all of his other victims were in our own home, the one place you should be able to feel safe and that's what is the worst part.

Please don't accept his version of 'harmless, silly fetish' ... it's been 12 years for us and my daughter will never get over it.

I was slapped and punched by criminals but I know what makes serial killers tick

This is a good article to understand how people progress to murder. I think PR has made it clear he was worried about getting caught.

Sexual killers can be split into two categories, organised and disorganised.
Disorganised killers meet their victim by chance and spontaneously kill them without any forward thinking or planning. These killings can often happen after a rape in an attempt to conceal what has happened.

Dr Taylor said: “It’s essentially a rape and then the perpetrator is thinking ‘oh gosh how can I avoid being caught?’ and they kill the victim to cover up. It’s a bid to not be caught.”

I know exactly where you are coming from with this and to be honest home never feels the same again.

My home (my previous one) was broken into whilst I was in bed (single parent with a very young child at the time) they actually came into my room but luckily ran off when i shouted. Could have been so much worse but i never felt comfortable at home during the night again.

One got a prison sentence (other similar offences) and then when released was rehoused a stones throw away.

I feel much more settled in the house we are in now but still always listening for noises and dont feel like I sleep fully.

X

I am so sorry for your daughter. It is terrible and PR getting on the stand acting so nonchalant about his behavior is disgusting. Victims like you daughter live with this for the rest of their lives! One of PR’s victims had to leave school if I remember correctly.

He’s trying to play down and normalise his predatory behaviour by using words such as ‘fetish’, ‘voyeurism’ and talking about ‘having a problem’. The crimes he’s been convicted of have long-lasting psychological effects on the victims. I hope the jury can see through this ‘poor me’ act.

And not just my daughter that was the focus, I only recently found out that my eldest daughter was taking a big knife from the kitchen every night to keep under her pillow and setting an alarm to replace it before I got up.

After the second visit, my 3 daughters all had their mattresses on my bedroom floor.

It changes you forever when your home is made to feel unsafe, as @Joolz1975 will confirm, even a different house no longer feels 100% safe.

@mrazda71 that's awful!

I dont think rape victims ever recover fully from it. A relative of mine was raped 20 years ago when she was 17. She says she can be fine then out of the blue she gets flash backs and her PTSD kicks in again. She's struggled to maintain healthy relationships since then. Sadly it's a life long sentence for survivors and should be the same for perpetrators.

Exactly, I hope the prosecution point out that his prior behaviour is a crime not a fetish.

Fetish is liking your toes sucked ...

If there is another person who is involved involuntarily, that is a crime.

Rape convictions and sentences in the UK are disgusting.
