Well it’s ok everyone because the Met police officers involved in disrespecting their bodies in such a callous way are “sorry”. I’m sure that makes it all ok for Bibaa’s and Nicole’s families. <sarcasm>

Two Met Police officers accused of taking photographs of a double murder scene

PC Deniz Jaffer and PC Jamie Lewis are charged with misconduct in public office over the images of Nicole Smallman, 27, and Bibaa Henry, 46.

The case was transferred from Westminster Magistrates' Court to the Old Bailey on Thursday.

A plea hearing was set for 24 June and both were released on bail.

In court the two officers issued an apology through their lawyer and indicated they would plead guilty.

Luke Ponte, for the defendants, said: "There is an indication to be given and it's an indication of a guilty plea on behalf of both defendants.

"They are sorry beyond measure for the pain that they have caused."

PC Jaffer, of Hornchurch, east London, and PC Lewis, from Colchester, Essex, wore facemasks in court and spoke only to confirm their identities.

Wembley Park deaths: Met PCs 'sorry' for sisters' murder scene images

The officers had been assigned to protect the scene after the two sisters were stabbed to death at Fryent Country Park in Wembley, in the early hours of June 6.

They appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today (May 27) to face a single charge which states each “misconducted” themselves “in a way which amounted to an abuse of the public’s trust in the office holder by without authorisation, entering a crime scene he had been assigned to protect, sending information about his attendance at the scene to members of the public via WhatsApp and taking photographs of the crime scene.

Chief Magistrate Paul Goldspring sent the case to the Old Bailey on June 24 when they will be required to formally enter pleas, saying it was a “high profile” case.

Jaffer, of Hornchurch, east London,

Lewis, from Colchester, Essex,

The pair, who only spoke to confirm their names, addresses and dates of birth during the brief hearing, were granted unconditional bail.

Why is Danyal Hussein referred to as a teenager when he is legally an adult and an adult at the time of the crimes?

I (almost) get the impression that this trial is being conducted behind closed doors? No reporters available?

He's still a teenager even though he's legally an adult.

I know, I know... :)
Still, it is strange. Better mention his age and nothing more IMO.
I don't know how to put it into words... it is as if by calling him a teenager, the crime is also diminished. Yet the opposite is true.

He lived on the other side of London. It is over an hour by public transport to the park where the sisters were dancing. Why was this teenager out so late, why did he carry a knife, and why was he in the park? Presumably alone?

RIP 2 sisters. Hearing their mother Mina Smallman's pain and bravery in the face of unbelievable cruelty-the police treatment the lack of press interest- unbearable and utterly heartbreaking. Let's make sure their names and faces are never forgotten.

I’m painting the 118 women killed by men last year named by
