I think the point about the tape being used to cover her face is very likely true. As discussed months back, it was masking tape so not very good for stopping someone breathing or screaming.

According to the prosecution, it was parcel tape, not masking tape.

Mr Hankin said: “It’s difficult to understand why Mr Stirling sought to cover her airways with brown parcel tape were it not to prevent her breathing."

I agree, the remaining family have to deal with this. Including Michael’s wife KS, was she present at the sentencing does anyone know?

Thanks for all the updates. I wish they would explain why they considered the evidence not strong enough to support premeditation. I thought she had told a colleague to call the police if she didn't show up?! MOO.
