Her devastated family said: 'We grieve the loss of our beautiful, loving daughter and sister. She had room in her heart for everyone and believed strongly that every person was to be valued and respected.

'She lived this belief working in a shelter for the homeless until she moved to Europe to be with her fiancé. She would have had no understanding of the callous cruelty that caused her death.

'Please honor her by making your community a better place. Volunteer your time and labor or donate to a homeless shelter. Tell them Chrissy sent you.'

Friend reported suspected attacker to anti-terror hotline

A friend of one of the suspected attackers says he had reported him to the anti-terror hotline, but no action was taken.

The man, who asked not to be named, told the BBC's Asian Network that the pair had spoken about previous attacks and he was shocked at what he had heard.

"We spoke about a particular attack that had happened and, like most radicals, he had a justification for anything, everything and anything," he said. "That day I realised that I need to contact the authorities."

But the friend claims the suspected attacker was not arrested and was allowed to keep his passport.

"I phoned the anti-terrorist hotline and spoke to the gentleman," he said. "I told him about our conversation and why I think he has been radicalised.

"I did my bit, but the authorities didn't do their bit."

The BBC has asked Scotland Yard for a response.

I am watching here, but had to give it permission to allow it to be viewed on my tablet. Quite emotional (and I really do not follow Ariana Grande, so know very little about her or her music)

ETA: when she hugged the solo-singer who was crying (in the High School Choir) I lost it. Manchester needed this!

Oh I so agree. This also took the focus off of the perps and onto the grieving and the innocent. I am so happy that they had this concert. It was an amalgamation of a funeral and a celebration of life and a healing. So sorely needed.

It truly was a lovely concert. I'm glad so many attended, and I enjoyed watching the concert goers as well as the entertainers.

where is money raised from the benefit concert going? to the families of deceased victims and to survivors?

I read they've raised over $330,000 so far

I expect the recent London victims ill be included as beneficiaries?

Is there an anti-terror hotline?

London terrorist had twice been referred to police over his extremist views

A former friend of the terrorist, who was shot dead by police along with two accomplices, claimed he had been radicalised while watching YouTube videos and said he contacted the authorities *after becoming concerned over his friend’s extremist views.

A neighbour also claimed she had contacted police in Barking, east London, after the suspect tried to convert her children to Islam and radicalise them. The man is not being named at the request of the police.

Hey now, hey now
Don't dream it's over

Hey now, hey now
When the world comes in

They come, they come
To build a wall between us

We know they won't win

In tears. What a great performance.

RIP Chrissy :canada: And to all the others who have lost their lives. I just do not have the words anymore.......

I've been reading along but not commenting because really what can I say? I had a blissful weekend camping and not attached to my phone so didn't know until today. I watched the concert and though I only remember Ariana Grande from a nickelodeon show my kids used to watch, I am now a fan. It was beautiful watching her genuine grief and Coldplay is awesome as always. My thoughts go to you all in the U.K. The families and victims and the residents themselves. Peace and love from Texas.

In tears. What a great performance.

That song is always on the list of best songs ever in both Australia and New Zealand, the band Crowded House being a mixture of Australians and Kiwis.

"A Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed a police operation was underway in the area.

Transport for London has confirmed the A13 has been shut down between the Goresbrook Interchange and Lodge Avenue Flyover while police attend the scene.

According to local residents on social media, armed officers were followed by a helicopter escort as they moved in on the flat."

Good Morning Britain is reporting gunfire and explosions in the area from reports on social media.

It is great there are all these arrests but it's a great pity so many people had to die and were injured before they happened.

"The ringleader of the London Bridge terror attack appeared in a Channel 4 documentary about jihadis in the UK last year.

The 27-year-old from Barking, East London, is believed to have led the trio who ploughed into pedestrians before stabbing revellers in pubs and bars on Saturday night.

He is currently only being identified by his nickname "Abz" at the request of the Metropolitan Police.

In 2016, he appeared in the documentary alongside a notorious preacher as they prayed to an Islamic State flag in a London park."

Unbelievable.

"The family of a Spaniard who was reported missing after the London terror attacks on Saturday have been asked for the HSBC worker's fingerprints as officials try to establish if he survived.

Ignacio Echeverria was last seen on Saturday night lying on the pavement near London Bridge after confronting one of the knife-wielding terrorists as he was attacking a female victim.

The 39-year-old, who lived in Poplar, east London, and came from Las Rozas near Madrid, tried to save the unidentified woman as he returned from a park with friends where he had been skating."
