Looks as if Mr Hazell was with Tia Thursday afternoon? Did the grandmother actually see Tia Thursday night/Friday morning or assumed she was in bed asleep? :what:
That's what I asked in an earlier post. I don't think I've read anything to suggest Grandma saw Tia at all after she left her home in Mitcham. Hazell apparently picked Tia up from East Croydon on the Thursday evening, and the only 'known' sighting of her after that was by the neighbour, who said she saw Tia around midday on Friday looking 'relaxed and happy'. She didn't mention that Tia was with Hazell at the time, so one of them (Hazell or the neighbour) has got their story wrong.

If Grandma was working on Thursday night and assumed Tia was in bed when she got home (and so didn't check on her) that means that no one apart from the neighbour and Hazell has seen Tia since she disappeared.

The mum, Natalie Sharp made it very clear that she had an 'independent' witness who saw Tia on Friday at midday - but that contradicts one of Hazell's accounts that he was with her and walking her to the tram station at the same time.

As someone said, it's almost like Friday didn't happen as she appears to have gone missing in Thursday's clothes, phone uncharged, no verified sightings since then. I didnt know SH dated Natalie before her mother.....

Just heard on Radio 1 that the parents? are complaining the police arent doing enough t look for Tia,theres also been an unofficial search party organised..

@BritsKate,I know youre trying not to pass judgement, and in a case like this with the people involved i know that can be difficult but sometimes the book cover, although crap can hold a gem of a read inside.
Ive been convicted if carrying a machete,im a a pothead(everyone knows that),and i have a long list of convictions etc and yet i won custody of my kids years ago,I look after my nieces on a regular basis, ive also been asked to watch my very protective neighbours kids because they wanted to stay in the garden while she went shopping,im well liked, help oldies cross the road, ive been known to block 2 lanes of traffic off so i can round up 2 stray dogs/kids/injured animals, sort of rescued a toddler in nappies last year,i have no enemies to speak off and i have a georgeous, funny and smart partner(10yrs) and i aint the prettiest thing going lol..
There is a heck of a difference between a natural father and a step grandfather only involved in this child's life a few years (?) though too.

My ex had weapons violations, a felony conviction and was abusive. As a result my kids were never left alone with him. Not because of his criminal history but because I truly did not trust him alone with our children. A year after our divorce he was convicted of raping a child. I'm quite certain my experiences color my opinion here too. ;)

A police dog team are searching missing schoolgirl Tia Sharp's grandmother's house as new searches take place in woodland near the home......... This morning, two police search teams were briefed and began searching a wooded area at the bottom of the estate, around 400 yards from her grandmother Christine Sharp's home.

Taken from http://news.sky.com/story/970003/tia-sharp-police-search-grandmothers-home

I know people are complaining that there is not enough nationwide press coverage but the actions of the police seem to indicate they are not expecting to find her anywhere but locally.

I wonder if the police are doing house-to-house enquiries. If the sighting of her by the neighbour was definite - then it's possible someone very close to home abducted her.

Why has it taken the police 5 and a half days to take a dog into the grandmother's home to search it?! Why?!

Same thing in many cases in US, this waiting a week or so to search the home. It drives me crazy; why wouldn't this be done at once, even as searches outside are being done as well?

I'm not even going to bother pretending I know anything about anything, but my guess would be that they have physically searched the house and found nothing and the dog is maybe a cadaver or drugs dog?

Like I said, my actual knowledge amounts to diddly squat so this is purely a guess :twocents:

BBC now reporting the same thing:

I have to say, I don't agree that this hasn't been reported on by the media - I live in London and there is an update on every local news bulletin on TV. Maybe it's not on national news as much as it should be, but it's definitely being mentioned a lot on local news.

Also, I tend to only trust BBC news - the rest of them (especially the tabloids) tend to report on unconfirmed 'facts', and the worst by a LONG way is the Daily Mail - it's not just another tabloid but basically a cover for horrendous, right wing, often racist 'journalism'. I wouldn't believe anything you read in their articles...

The officer emerged from the house, where the schoolgirl's grandmother Christine Sharp, 46, lives with her partner Stuart Hazell, 37, and told reporters: "This morning I have been in to see the family and update them with details of the investigation.

"Of those details there is nothing I can share with you at the moment."

However, the officer did say an update would be provided later.

Hmmm. What details I wonder?

BBC national news just about to have a feature on Tia! They just showed police and a dog going into her Grandma's house. I will update with what they say when it comes on!

So we have right wing racism v left wing political correct Liberalism, who gives a stuff about politics, we have a child missing here, by the way the 'RACIST' mail reported today that the grandmothers partner has done time for supplying crack cocaine, that should be easy to substanciate..

Also that could open up another circle of possible abducters JMO

Not a lot more than we already know... They've searched Grandma's house and the alleyway behind with sniffer dog. They've been searching an area of woodland about a mile from Grandma's house.

Nothing else new! I'm off out for a few hours now, really hoping I come home to some good news!

I think they are back at the house because they probably could not find any evidence that she ever really left that afternoon.

They are saying they have one witness who saw her leaving the house alone around midday. They have 800 hour CCTV to go through and have watched 120 hours so far in 'real time'. He confirmed it was still a missing persons case and they are expecting to find Tia live and well and when asked if there were any suspects, said there were no suspects at all.

The link for the press conference is http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-19177997

However, that does NOT include the press questions

I guess this is the same witness as before, the neighbour? Last I heard was that this hadn't been verified because Hazell had claimed he'd walked Tia to the tram station, in which case, she wouldn't have been seen leaving the house alone.

I wonder why the police are so confident Tia will be found alive and well? Normally when a child has been missing for so long, hope disappears with each passing day.

Seems that way...and yet, where is she if she didn't actually leave the house ?

Wonder if the neighbor is firmly convinced he/she saw Tia that mid morning ?

Wonder if anyone else was at the house that morning, besides just Tia and SH ?

Wonder if SH had access to a vehicle ? Or one of his friends did ? If not, not sure how he could have been involved directly ?

Amber 34 : And LE made these statements after they took the dog into the house and behind the house ?
