I agree this was a huge eye opener for so many people who believed in Ron... there are really only two ways for me to look at this now, first Misty was out on a drug run and something happened to Haleigh, or Misty left them alone and Haleigh got into the drugs and OD. This would explain Ron undying support of her and TN's. If she hit Haleigh and killed her, Ron would have done the same to her by now. I am leaning towards the second scenario, the kids were left alone and Misty was out dealing. That was my first thought on this whole case, and it seems to make sense now with what LE has released.

One other thing I have learned from these tapes - Misty is very mobile for a person who has no car. How mobile was she the night of the 9th into the 10th of February 2009 ?

I think it is obvious to most people that RC is a dysfunctional father, endangering his kids in many ways and often, with serious addictions and mental disorders made worse by drugs. He's not at all competent father or gun owner, and I'm sure must realize it himself now that he's drying out. The fault for Haleigh's disappearance always goes back to him, but I don't think he knows the kidnapper personally.

Oxycontin causes brain damage, especially when you chew them (I've read). I do think this extended family is mostly brain damaged and paranoid.

Well, we might not FIND her...but I gotta believe the collective minds here are giving LE a boost as I have heard they do read here....so, perhaps indirectly, we are helping....at the very least, we are helping each other understand and discussion is good...

Having given this some thought now and in light of the drug bust tapes, I really have to give LE a whole lot of credit in this case. By now we have been witness to what LE has had to deal with - all the lies, all the bs and all the drugs. If LE merely was focusing on Misty they would have arrested her when she got her purse stolen and called them for help. They knew she was there for drugs. Instead they waited very patiently for something more substantial. We are seeing the fruit of their labor, their discipline, and all their hard work. Instead of cornering Misty for a petty charge, they got 5 for the price of one and all 5 are in a position to provide to LE what LE needs to find Haleigh or at a minimum, what happened to Haleigh. If LE just wanted Misty, they could have acted long ago. It is obvious to me anyhow, that there is more to this story than just Misty. I must applaud LE for their diligence, while it may appear to be slow, I have no doubt it has been thorough given the muck that surrounded little Haleigh.

You know what really makes me sad? It's that Ron & Misty more than likely left work under the premise of needing to pick up Jr. from day care. They used Butterbean as an excuse. And even worse, he was in a car on occasion with these two who were more than likely under the influence. Poor little guy......poor HaLeigh......

This leads me to a couple thoughts? Where oh where has NayNay gone of late? Also, per Poppen (remember this discussion? ) he recalls seeing the nissan at home that night...other neighbors have had to know what cars were in and out...we have the Croslins down a vehicle with Hank's accident...then the van damage...no doubt MC drove before she was legal....I think every single flipping car owned by these families and their homes should be searched with cadaver dogs....so many thoughts and diminishing brain cells trying to think like this ilk....:banghead:

Was he just easier to control....not as verbal? I know for a fact through my years in special ed that some kids kind of just adapt to aberrant behavior without blinking...maybe Haleigh didn't fit this mold...just thinking out loud.....

It is great seeing you HH! Yes i see what you're saying. Why did HaLEigh eff up Misty's whole birthday but not Jr? IMO he was younger and maybe a bit easier to settle down to sleep at night. HaLeigh's vivacious spirit shines through in her photos. In her own words, Misty expressed resentment towards HaLeigh. Her attitude towards Haleigh is apparent in these tapes.

it was stated awhile back that Haleigh would tell her dad if Misty had friends over, that was said by NayNay in an interview.....so that means the little piglet Misty couldnt have her boyfriends and girlfriends over to play....plus I believe Haieghs illness made her not tolerant of certain situations

you welcome, I still dont get whats really allow or not....and it does explain Mistys attitude toward Haleigh, couple this with the fact Misty is educated only to 6th grade and said her and Haleigh had to have the same clothes and shoes just shows not only her lack of maturity, but lack of mental skills needed to be a legitimate mom like Misty claims she was....every interview since shes been arrested shows she is a me me me person

Just a heads up - TJ Hart has posted that they have more videos beyond the ones we have seen but they are experiencing some issues with You Tube - they hope to have resolved soon. Might want to check periodically to see if those issues have been resolved. So far nothing new that I can tell.

and if Im rons defense lawyer I would be hoping that he is never charged with anything to do with Haleigh, because his statement in the drug tape negates the use of a theory of retaliation by a drug deal gone bad...he said thats not how it went down im not the drug boy....he sure knows how to help out....lol

I wonder-- does the drug addled conscience repair itself? Will those involved begin to feel the remorse, disgust, and reflective horror of their own actions with a drying out? I pray so...

I have to say, Tommy seems to be getting a lot more teary as time goes on per the new video with Hank Sr. released this morning.

don't beat yourself up over it.....its simple we are dealing with people who have NEVER been held responsible for the actions, both Misty and Ron have been raised by parents who are the epitome of dysfunction. This leaves them void of the ability to respect any type of authority and the inability to have any real conscience

Den...I am on the fence and it hurts...but maybe just maybe Ron was telling the truth here....I know Ron and truth are incongruous....but I think that's how he operates...the tapes prove drug usage and I don't think it is a recent event....he may HAVE been giving off a singnal that he ain't spoke the truth....YET

I have to say, Tommy seems to be getting a lot more teary as time goes on per the new video with Hank Sr. released this morning.

I absolutely believe the brain can repair itself after damage given really good conditions. But with the starchy, fatty jail food it may make them sicker and prematurely aged before that happens. Tommy is looking much clearer in the new tapes. He seems the least accepting of a future in prison, where MC and RC seem at times committed to the idea. I do think RC was brain damaged, but MC is naturally dim-witted.

Wouldn't RC have launched into a vendetta if he knew who kidnapped his girl? unless deep down he is a big-talking coward, which is possible. He is quick to brandish a gun :twocents:
