Watching Thursdays testimony, and it's hard not to notice Wilmott's sudden shift while examining ALV. She is going on and on and on about her continuum schedule, and suddenly she's asks about Arias. No smooth transition, just a sudden change of topic.
I can't help but think the ruling that day had something to do with her questioning. It was almost the same as when ALV continued talking after Juan's objection. I got the same desperation from Willmott - quick get it in before the ruling takes effect. Except of course, it was already in.
The DT has GOT to be a lot more careful about their questioning now that Juan has ALL the notes - ALL the research info.
I was hoping for a quiet, restful weekend for Juan, but I'm betting he was pouring over all the new evidence he received due to the ruling. He's a dedicated workhorse for sure. I hope he'll get some down time between cases.
GO JUAN. Get some justice for Travis.

Does JA actually say anything of interest to the female detective? These parts are making me crazy, between the JA baby talk and fake crying and the detective droning on and on trying to appeal to JAs non-existent spirituality and concern for others feelings.

Might have to skip next Flores piece.
Chester, I haven't been there yet, but there is a thread dedicated especially to the newly released videos. One of our sweet posters has gone through the entire set, and written out cliff's notes. Check there for more information.

I only watched one video of JA and Det. B, but the difference in her body language with the female v. Flores is stark. Det. B is talking soothingly away, asking lots of questions re reasons why Jodi may have done what she did, and Jodi is staring fixedly at nothing all the while. Other than showing momentary disgust at the "big orange suit" she's wearing and concern over where her money she'll need to use to buy shampoo is, Jodi was an impassive lump.

Her hair fetish is on full display in the police vids. She compulsively runs her hands through her hair, then carefully and repeatedly removes stray hairs, probably mostly imaginary, from her arms. Then there's her bizarre hair-flipping. The most forlorn I saw her was when she queried the female detective about the money found on her and whether that would be going into a jail account she could access to buy shampoo.

My boyfriend only saw *****s n pieces n he commented on her
Being obsessed with her hair
He also got a kick out of her dissecting her sandwhich

Getting extra evidence ammo is manna from heaven to JM. I bet he hates "rest".

I couldn't imagine waxing the whole thing (front, back and in between!!) without having a reason (aka sexy time!) and she hadn't seen TA since April so there's no way she is hairless nearly 2 months later! She either was having sex with other people/planning to have sex with Ryan Burns (while she claims she was being monogamous with TA), or premeditated the trip to TA. I'm sure the defense could pay some crock to explain she had "selective alopecia" of the hooha or whatever to explain it away. I know of women and men who do some hair management during periods of celibacy but I don't know of anyone who waxes for the fun of it! It's not cheap for someone pinching pennies to get done! When/if she got her nails done on Salinas, she took a cosmetic approach to her pelvic region or whatever that awesome quote from JM was lol!

"Selective Alopecia" Too funny!! Thank you for the good laugh!
Wonder from which field the DT would search to find an expert to testify for that: gynecology or cosmetology?:floorlaugh:

One thing that I kept wondering while
Watching the 17 videos
Has Jodi always been this weird and Travis
Was just blinded or willing to overlook
It due to her sexual spell she cast on him ?

Liebchenmutti, do you know which video shows her secreting the papers? I am up to 7, but have only been listening to most, trying to multitask. :what:

It is at the VERY end of 16, then repeated at the VERY beginning of 17.

Video 10 around the 19 min mark....she almost admits he didn't know she was taking pictures of him in the shower. She tells the detective that he was private about his showers despite their intimacy in bed. The lady detective said are you telling me those pictures were taken without his consent? And JA said I'm just saying that whoever took those pictures must have...I mean it's hard for me to imagine because, I got pictures of him once shaving and he was weird about THAT.

Doesn't that just creep you out?? I wanted to slap her about then - right at that 19 minute mark. lol

FYI...there are 18 videos. I would hate to think you missed one, especially the last one, where they take her away AND HER CHAINS RATTLE! :great:

Just a thought, but her chewing was so ridiculously noisy, I wonder if Jodi was miked, unbeknownst to her. The sounds were as if a loud speaker was broadcasting right from her mouth.

I THINK it was (say) a turkey sandwich with something on it that was crunchy (pickles? lettuce?). She opened up the sammy and took out the crunchy substance. She then ate the crunchy substance separately. Then, she scooped up bits of meat like an ape and shoved it in her pie hole. Then, when there was less meat, she put the sandwich back together and ate the sandwich itself.

I sometimes eat my sandwiches like this, only I use a fork to eat some of the meat from the inside, if there is too much (Schlotzkeys' is a good example for myself).

As an aside. This Comcast old lady who has segments right in the middle of HLN broadcasting MiMi's testimony is pizzing me off. They do it daily. Does this happen to everyone using Comcast cable?

sorry to sound clueless, but filing for what notes?

LET THE RECORD REFLECT counsel approach the bench and discussion is held out of
the hearing of the jury and on the record.
IT IS ORDERED sealing the bench conference not to be produced or transcribed
until the conclusion of the trial.

Starting on 3/25, each time they go to the bench, there are now TWO entries. One, that they went to the bench, and the second sealing it. This started the last day of Samuels' testimony, which was the first day of ALV's testimony.
This is of course, at Nurmi's behest. Hmmm????

It was so thoughtful of her to be concerned about wasting taxpayers money and the courts time in fighting extradition, now that she has wasted over 1 million taxpayer dollars to tell her lies and waste the courts time.

And how she asks about taking a polygraph. What?! They're not admissable in court. Oh,okay. Then I won't take one.

What a loon.

I haven't watched all of the vids yet, but most and i have to say JA is the most confusing person i have ever seen. I don't know why but at some parts in these tapes i find myself feeling sorry for her and i catch myself and i am thinking what is wrong with me, remember what she did to Travis!

I think I lost the tiny bit of sympathy I had for her by the time I got to interrogation video #13. The dramatics, the hair play and the stupid stories in her videos were just too much to take.

As the world is Jodi's stage, I wouldn't be surprised if she was envisioning herself in some Lifetime movie where she plays the elusive and crafty seductress who snows everyone with her charm, good lucks and brilliance, including the seasoned detective. I can't remember when she ends up telling that nonsense story about the two intruders but when she said "That b____ from California", I just lost it. :floorlaugh: For DF not to have just laughed in her face at that point takes some real professionalism on his part.

I could also see the "good" part of Jodi thinking that her carrying on over these several hours with the cat and mouse game was actually her doing a favor to the detectives. She probably figured she was giving them an opportunity to hone their detective skills with a true master.

Speaking of theatrics, did anyone else feel like there should have been some sort of profound sound effect the first time DF actually mentioned Juan Martinez by name? Perhaps a single toll from a very large bell, or even a fanfare or some sort of horror movie screeching effect.

.

Yes, I wish someone who knew how to edit video would snip all her crazy antics in the interview room (handstands, snooping, eating, climbing under tables, etc) and put them to circus music at fast speed.

I'm really getting curious as to how he's getting all this stuff sealed, and more important, WHY.
