Oh no :( I've been following this thread, hoping so much that Kayelynn will be found alive and get the help that it seems like she may have needed. I am still hoping that is what happens...

Has anyone checked to see what other cases may be in the area? That is quite a ways away from where Kayelyn went missing if we're talking barefoot and rainy day by foot. Sad day for some family out there though regardless.

I think those 3 men are still missing as well.

Also there is another girl missing from the SLC area but she went missing recently.

Damn. This is not what I wanted to hear. I REALLY hope this is not her.

Cottonwood Creek is dangerous but it doesn't have the bad press that Jordan River does.
Jordan River is just well known in Utah for being a place they find bodies.

Bodies are found in the Jordan River quite a bit.
It's often a homeless person from what I remember.

It's pretty unlikely it's Kayelyn, but that's just my opinion.
However, police did inform the family of the discovery. So I could be wrong.

I have hoped she would be found and not discovered. I am still hopeful.

I don't know why the family is so resistant to the idea that she could have been delusional? That actually would make the police look even HARDER for her, as she would be considered a vulnerable adult.
I think she was found in the river today. Like Tameeka, I wish we knew what was going on in her head.

I think the police knew what they were dealing with once the 911 tapes were heard and from the officers who first responded to her calls...I hope it's not her that was found but I feel it just might be unfortunately...the clothing should be identifiable by family on scene

WEST VALLEY CITY — A body was discovered almost completely submerged in the Jordan River Monday.

It was discovered just after 11 a.m. by West Valley City work crews looking at a drainage pipe near 3300 South and 1200 West. They noticed the body barely sticking out of the water in the middle of the river. It was underneath a bridge and partially hidden by water plants, said West Valley police spokeswoman Roxanne Vainuku.

A police dive team was called to recover the body. Because of decomposition, police were not immediately able to determine an age or gender or cause of death.

The family of missing Murray woman Kayelyn Louder also showed up at the scene. There was no immediate indication from investigators that they believed the body found was of Louder or that it was even a woman.

Police could not say Monday how long they believe the body had been in the water.

I see someone mentioned this and linked to the related WS, but here is an article that mentions the three missing men. The vehicle they were possibly in was found near the Jordan River.

In an unrelated incident, three Salt Lake City men have been missing since Nov. 1. Levi Collins, 34, Danny Kiko Gallegos, 35, and Braden Parker Emerson, 23 disappeared under mysterious circumstances.

An SUV with a large amount of blood that the men were believed to be in was found Nov. 3 near the Jordan River surplus canal at 1740 W. 1500 South.

On Monday evening West Valley police tweeted there would be "no further updates" on the case until the autopsy was complete.
