The videos that contain Amy were just by coincidence, he wasn't taping her specifically. Just cruise guests dancing. She just happened to be in some of the videos he shot.

I haven't read anything to suggest that Amy could not have gone over the railing. A sleep-deprived swimmer that accidentally hits the water from several stories up is going to be in trouble. The ship was between Islands when she disappeared off the balcony, so where would she wash up?

Then read the repeated statements at various points in the last several pages

In the documentary, her father claimed that he opened his eyes (when he was in bed), saw her legs on the balcony, and went back to sleep for another 20-30 minutes. Then he got up and went out to the balcony to check on her and she wasn't there. I could understand some sort of foul play if she vanished from anywhere else on the ship, but vanishing from the balcony doesn't leave too many options.

She was last seen on the balcony by her father, but other witnesses saw
her on the ship after she left the balcony

All of this has already been stated in the thread. If you want to see the links again, I'll try to make this stupid computer cooperate with me. :pullhair:

Lera, for what it's worth, at the bottom of the FBI site for Amy there is a link to San Juan, Puerto Rico. So, you may be onto something. IDK

If you click on the link at the bottom where it says "field office" - San Juan it takes you to the San Juan division of the FBI.

Not Actor AG, I don't know still trying to just pass it off as maybe seeing the flyer before. *shrug*

someone posted a while back i think it was find amy or someone else that it was highly unlikely she was ever in the parking lot running around

one of the reasons was she had no shoes
the parking lot was right next to the ship or something so she could have went into the ship.

the sighting could have been someone trying to make it look like she was in the parking lot and the people who took her could have found someone to look like her

Wouldn't it make more sense to just suggest someone paid, bribed or blackmailed a taxi driver into saying he saw Amy?

Thank you Mystery Maven. You are correct about Royal Caribbean. They were horrible to the Bradley family. They tried every legal dirty trick in the book. I personally believe that they feared a tremendous liability because Amy disappeared from their ship. It would have been very difficult for Amy to have fallen from the balcony as an accident. The railings are too high. She likely would not have landed directly in the water because there would have been impact at another point and there would have been forensic evidence. If she did fall directly into the water, she was a lifeguard and competition level swimmer. The ship was close to shore by 6:00AM.

Alister Douglas was seen by a number of people with Amy in the open disco area and the glass elevator. He was also identified by David Carmichael as being with Amy in Porto Marie, six months later. Royal Caribbean sent their attorneys to David's home in Canada to harrass him. Can you just imagine the liability that Royal Caribbean would incur if a court ever finds Alister Douglas guilty of kidnapping Amy Bradley? Alister Douglas was on Rhapsody of the Seas as an employee of Royal Caribbean.

Still, if Amy was seen with Douglas six months later, and Douglas had been fired immediately after the cruise Amy disappeared from, why would Royal Carribean send attorneys to Carmichael's home. How would they know who he was and how to find him? What kind of expense would be incurred? Was it definitely Royal Carribbean that sent the attorneys?

If the pictures being circulated are indeed Amy then I would say she was indeed abducted for the sex industry. My biggest concern is if it is Amy in those photos, she was in her 20's. She is now 38 years old. How much longer would they keep her before they find another victim to replace her, if they haven't already? :(

This is my exact fear as well.. I can only hope that there have been much more recent sightings of Amy that are being held from the publics k owledge for investigative purposes..

Sadly the cruise ship industry is pure **** all the way around Imo... My God just look at how they've handled the recent deaths. That were directly of the captain's doing..

All the survivors were offered 30% off their next cruise.. It's pathetic!

The sketches from the San Francisco sightings should be extremely accurate. The FBI sent their best sketch artist from Quantico, Virginia to San Francisco to do these sketches. The artist spent many hours with witnesses. These sketches should be almost like a photograph. The dark haired man has been described as possibly having a Colombian or South American appearance. The other man has red hair and a red beard.

Trying to keep sightings and timelines straight, in regard to the sketch of Amy with wild hair, the FBI site states the sketch was done after a sighting in Barbados but does not clarify if the 3 men also featured were with her in Barbados and your post states the sketches were completed after the San Fran sighting. Can you clarify which sketches are from Barbados and those that were done after the sighting in San Fran?
TIA

yeah not going to stress over it...I probably just seen this sketch in the past. Knowing me. LOL

Maybe you saw it on the FBI website at some point when you were looking for something else. Or AMW or a website related to something else. Are you familiar with the hiding in plain sight concept? You've seen that person but you have no idea where because they're dressed out of the realm of your experience.(Maybe I have the wrong name). But I read somewhere that if you run into someone you know and it's somewhere out of the norm of your experience, then it's hard to place the person. The example they gave was seeing your auto mechanic at the opera.
And what smile22 said is true. You find yourself thinking of something else, or nothing, you're clearing your mind before you fall asleep, and then *poof* it comes to you.

Amy Bradley Sightings

March 24, 1998 - Amy disappeared from Rhapsody of the Seas

August, 1998 - Amy was seen at Porto Marie, Curacao

January, 1999 - Amy was seen in an Otrobanda Hotel, Curacao

April 18, 2003 - Amy was seen in San Francisco, California

2004 - 2005 - Amy's photograph appeared on a Venezuelan escort website

March 1, 2005 - Amy was seen in Bridgetown, Barbados

November, 2005 - Amy was seen in a Salinja club, Curacao

Who else was in those same places at those same times?

Thank you Mr. E.

She was 5'7 and 115 pounds. My 14-year-old daughter is that size.

I can think of several ways to get her off the ship. Drug her and drag her off, as if she's a person who has had one too many. Knock her out and do the same. Disguise her as a boy or crew member so nobody thinks twice about her leaving the ship. Fold her into a large trunk and drag that off.

Or, as Danaya says, get her to go willingly. Tell her a lie, pose as an authority figure, whatever. THREATEN HER FAMILY.

I really don't think getting her off that ship was the biggest issue they had to face. Cruise ships are huge, there are tons of people around, lots of rooms/areas the general public has no knowledge of, and it was the early morning hours.

Her falling overboard -- that I find much harder to believe.
I added that line up there in red, my bad. So Sorry, Mr. E. I was just trying to give an example of what they might have done that would get total cooperation from Amy. If they threatened to harm her parents and brother unless she cooperated? My Opinion Only

After Amy disappeared, the Bradleys were back in their home in Virginia. There was a family gathering at their home. A concerned neighbor came to the door to report that two young men were sitting in a car further down the street. They had a telephoto lense and they were photographing the Bradley home, as relatives came to the house.

The police were called, but the young men took off. Somehow the police determined that it had been a rental car. The authorities believe that these people may have been photographing Amy's family for her captors.

I am still thinking about this.
This is probably a huge crime ring with many levels - for a possible billionaire drug lord or the likes. I think it infiltrates everything from some of the cruise ship employees, the crew, the police in little ports and employees across the globe.....everyone probably is in on the corruption in order to make $...and are hired specifically in that circle. American laws do not apply to cruise ships or in the little ports. There is probably huge threats, intimidation and violence involved. Maybe powerful people like to have young, impressionable, moldable, english translators for their positions and they choose young, vulnerable woman from cruises and resorts (ie. Natalee Holloway). The corrupt officials or drug lords know that people like Yellow or Vandersloot are disposable and since their aren't bodies (because the girls are still alive) they know that prosecution isn't likely - everyone is too afraid to "rat" the top members of these corrupt gangs. It probably doesn't happen too often, but is always "near water" - so that the victim's families can never be sure if they drowned or not. I think it is a huge, covert operation. ..and they choose vulnerable woman after studying them closely while they are on vacation (sort of like shopping). The woman are molded over time by fear and isolation and submit to whatever nefarious activities these criminals demand. I just think it is very telling how the local police, the cruise ship etc. were all uncooperative; knowing full well that they were "above the law" - so to speak.
Sorry about the long, rambling post - but I think that this is part of a much grander scale of corruption and international crime...

Is it known what cabin the family was in? I'm hoping to find a diagram or interactive page of the ship. I've never been on a cruise before and hoped to see the outside of the ship and see where their balcony was. What I'm wondering is if the balcony hangs out over the water. Wouldn't there be other balconys under the balcony she was on, or at least the deck of the ship? The reason I want to see an interactive page is to be able to zoom in on the outside if their cabin location is known. Kind of like when you're buying stadium or arena tickets and you can see what view your seats have or where you want to set. I'm hoping to see if it is likely she went overboard with forensic evidence left behind or if she could of clearly went overboard without hitting anything as she fell. I am leaning toward abduction, buy would like to be sure.

Liberia, perhaps?
I don't think the actual country the ship is flagged under is important as long as it's a country the ship's owners can operate under with a minimum of scrutiny. Libya, Liberia, all the same.

Based on this possibilities, I have to once again agree with Otto. I think it's a very high probability that she went over that rail. She was seen on the balconey, had been somewhat seasick the whole trip, and then 20 minutes later she has vanished. She would have definately taken her shoes, at minimum if she were taking off.
Early in this thread before FindAmy came onboard, the main discussion was about if Amy jumped/fell or not. People who had been on cruises stated that the rails on those balconies are high. A person wouldn't just be able to stumble and fall in over the balcony rail.

Is it totally uncommon for people to go barefoot outside their staterooms aboard a cruise ship? I really don't find it beyond belief that someone, early in the morning, would take a quick stroll without shoes in search of coffee or whatever.

The ship was Rhapsody of the Seas. They had one of the family suites. I don't know the room number. I will have to ask Iva and Ron.

Thanks!

I think I'm losing it, I'm still confused about the sketch of Amy on the FBI website, was that from Barbados or San Fran? The FBI website states Barbados and your post says it was done after the San Francisco sighting. I guess what I'm asking is what sighting is the wild hair sketch from and was her appearance in San Fran more subdued?
