Been thinking about this for a few hours now... All I really want is for AJ to be found. Wes's past makes him a very easy and convenient target and to be honest that situation allows for lazy investigative work to happen.

Take the blinders down and look at this from every angle.

Theory:

Upon Wes being released he decides it's time to be a better man. He meets JH, falls in love and commits himself to her and her family, he loves them as his own and puts them before himself as real men do. Willing to make sacrifices for them.

For whatever reason things aren't working out and they are currently working through a trial separation as is the fate of so many relationships in this day and time. This doesn't change the commitment and love he has for his family. This is his drive to be a better man.

AJ goes missing... He wants answers, he feels powerless and as if he has failed to do his job of protecting his family. LE doesn't appear to be producing results and what has defined him as a better man is slipping away. He starts his own search for answers. Organizing search parties, reading tweets, trying to piece together the puzzle.

He lands on his suspect and breaks in to collect evidence. Police suspect he broke in and when they speak to him they don't confirm the jacket is Ajs to see how he reacts which frustrates and enrages him. He has to lie to everyone about the B&E during unofficial interview to a blog site and he is losing control of the situation at this point. His world just continues to unravel.

He begins to plan vigilante justice at this point... With his previous record and the B&E and him knowing how he is beginning to look he feels he has nothing else to lose. Police have enough to take him off the streets but nothing to actually tie him to AJ being missing. 15 hour integration.

Is it possible the police have blinders on too?

My heart breaks for everyone involved.

The cops know a whole lot more than we do. They have cell records, ping maps, surveillance footage, witness testimonies and forensics. They are NOT just looking at his past criminal history. They are looking at factual evidence at this point. JMO

Wes may have just lost his job with these charges. He is now umemployable. I hope moms can handle this alone. Maybe her and zh can arrange something so the kids are not mangled by this very fast worrisome situation.

Yes, I've been waiting until I caught up to post this myself. The facebook comment by the guy claiming to be the employer assured everyone that he had done a background check and knew his record. What the heck?! If I was local, I would be ensuring that I and everyone I knew NEVER used this company. How scary!

I suspect they will now, in hindsight.

Yet, they haven't charged him. My point is to keep an open mind, work through some other possibilities.

Vigilante justice, he has nothing else to lose.

If this teen that he is targeting is the guilty party, the cops are going to figure that out. How is it SOOO OBVIOUS to WH, but a team of homicide detectives have no clue?

I have a strong feeling that this teen had an airtight alibi during the key times. And if so, WH pointing his finger is going to backfire.

I wasn't insinuating that the teen is responsible, just that Wes maybe believed it. Jacket could even be in house, doesn't make him guilty.

The kind of work done by any heating and air company, is almost always done on-site for the employees. Meaning, calls come into the main office from customers (residential or commercial), work orders are done up, and employees are scheduled job-sites. Such as: Bob at 1234 Center Street 8am-12pm Monday, 45678 Main Street 3pm Tuesday-5pm Wednesday... etc. Sometimes they're scheduled out on their own, other times they're scheduled with a crew, depending on the site & service needed.

Depending on what the job is, who the customer is, how many are needed on a job at one time, how many specialists you have in certain fields, etc. Tons of variables but essentially this is the way it works. Eventually the employees do clock back into the main office but their actual work is generally on-site. I only know this because I owned a company just like this for 15 years and was the one in charge of scheduling, every week. It's possible WH's employer does things differently, but in my experience nearly all specialty mech. companies work this way (especially the privately owned - indy operated ones).

See I knew somewhere deep in my brain was a pretty good reason why I never am home alone when repair people have to come into my house. I always make sure some guy like BIL, neighbor dude, nephew etc.. someone is at my house with me and my kids are not home and I do not leave kids toys around my yard. No stickers in windows no MLP curtains. No cuties girls seat covers in the girls cars. Pretty scary to think some guy with a record of abduction can walk into your house with a work order ....

I have seen it happen this way in many if not most cases. They quite often begin with smaller charges then drop them all together OR change them to murder/kidnapping.

He might not be involved. But I would not cast him in a heroic light. He has done a lot to mess this investigation up, needlessly. JMO

With all due respect, these posts and link make no mention of a 15 month sentence in Illinois, nor of a witness refusing to testify. Post 81 on page 4 on the link, does refer to a no longer available MSM report of charges of "Fleeing and eluding" in Illinois.

If we look at the links provided to court records, WH was arrested in Illinois, extradited to Delaware Ohio where the charges concerning his victim in that case were dismissed in favour of a Federal indictment and arrest warrant. SBHack has provided the details and links to the Federal case in post 251.

I'm compiling all the links posted so far into some sort of order, I'll be back to bore you all again soon :)

I never read anything that said he served 15 months. I was on some of the links of links ( this was like 3-10-15) and I read the date he went in and the date he was released. Around 15 months. Again, it was not anything I could post or mention at the time on Websleuths, so I just recall he served 15 months. It was a state prison. But he had so many charges in so many states, I could not tell you which state or what year. I just added up to know if he served real time or got a slap on the wrist. It looked like a slap to me. I don't mean to sound snarky, but if I could have posted it then I would have. I wanted to, believe me! Some of his charges and crimes are old and it was very hard to follow the links now because so many of them no longer worked.

Not trying to cast him as a hero, just trying to be as objective as possible. The goal is to find AJ and if all energy is directed in one spot and it is wrong that's not helpful.

Yes and no. It's easy to run down the tunnel when all you have is what we have. It's a completely different ball game for trained investigators who have access to crime lab results, phone records, employee records, search warrants on vehicles, property, etc. In other words, reputable LE have to follow the evidence, which the public is not privvy to. The vast majority of them do exactly that, to ensure they have the right person for the right crime. If in fact it's true LE asked WH during the 15 hour interrogation "where is AJ?" that leads me to believe they HAVE evidence that leads them straight to him.

MOO.

Charged or not. But once you hear kidnapped and raped; you will always be considered a prime suspect in a missing female case that you are close to. Plus your lying to nancy grace and to other media doesn't help much.

Quick note about the keys.

I used to have a 10th generation (97-03) f150. Mine had ONE key that opened the doors AND started the ignition. Those locks and keys do have a history of problems and I obviously do not know if their truck still has the original keys/locks.

I don't think my opinion is going to affect whether or not AJ is found.

NPD and the FBI seem to be all over this case. They are working it hard and I don't think it matters to them what I, or others say on a discussion board. IMO, WH brought criticism on himself, by his rogue actions, if nothing else.

Was A.J. a runner? Those items would make sense if she were going for a run that morning. (Of course they'd make no sense in the location where they were found).

AJ played softball and according to her twitter also worked out. However, a poster in one of the earlier threads who participated in a search was told what to look for. I can't find that post but to the best of my recollection it was a jacket? pink shirt, black pants and UGGS.

I guess my point was that the found items weren't what I'd expect a young woman to pack into a small backpack or duffle bag as spare clothing to take with her. So what were these particular items doing on the side of the road?

Yes, the goal is to find AJ. Tell me one concrete known thing WH & minions have done to facilitate that besides print and put up posters?

Why didn't wes just say; i found the jacket in somebodys house on the podcast interview. The police already knew what he did. So why lie on the interview. He would have gained more respect if he said the truth instead of acting like the police found it. That could be why le said we have to lock him up. Because he is spreading lies on national tv and podcast interviews even though he knows that what he is saying is not true.

Also. If wes didnt have anything to do with this; Then the real culprit must be elated with how wes is constantly looking guilty of hiding something.
