Detectives investigate local woman's disappearance as abduction; possible suspect vehicle identified

[...]

During a press conference on Tuesday, investigators said they have developed a possible suspect vehicle as a silver Chrysler 200 or a similar model, which was seen leaving her residence on the night of her abduction. Police also said they had several persons of interest, but did not provide details.

The FBI also believes Carver was on Airline Boulevard in Portsmouth and North Military Highway in Norfolk on the day she was abducted.

The search is also being extended into North Carolina.

Why was she in Norfolk?? During the day? So did she go to Norfolk/Portsmouth (an hour away from her home) and then come home and then get abducted?

It's quite common around here. Norfolk is the closest hub for a lot of things in Hampton roads- shopping, food, business hub, etc. I commute almost an hour to work every day to Suffolk. Buddy of mine from Franklin (next county over from SH) commutes to Norfolk.
If you're not in one of the "7 Cities" as we call it, it's pretty normal to drive a ways to get to the good stuff.

I've been here forever, so it's normal to me, but according to friends from out of the area, "if I hadn't lived here I wouldn't get it..." Its very spread out and most everything is on the Southside or Peninsula of HR. JMO and whatnot.

Source: I've been here forever and could draw you a map with my eyes closed.

I live about an hour away from Newsoms so yeah I know the area, but I'm saying she didn't just go to Norfolk to go for a drive. I'm wondering why she went- what was she doing there? Was she meeting up with someone there?

Maybe she picked up some wine, snacks, new dress, maybe got her nails done, etc. sometimes the ritual of getting ready for a first date is just as fun as the date itself lol
I think she made it back to her house and got ready and when he showed up it became clear quickly what this strangers intentions actually were. If this was premeditated I fear that he figured out a way to somehow stump digital forensics when luring her on this date?

Blood found on knife, driveway, clothing, sheets, carpet, of abducted mother's home

[...]

Inside the home, Anne Carver found blood in multiple places on the carpet and "a pool of blood by the rear door," court documents state.

Anne Carver also discovered a bloody knife in her daughter's living room, according to court documents.

Deputies arrived at Carver's home around 1 p.m. and found more blood: On Carver's driveway and on sheets and clothing inside the home, Cobb confirmed.

Although there were no signs of forced entry, there were signs of a struggle in one part of the home. Cobb would not elaborate on which part of the house the struggle may have happened.

Cobb said that a "significant" number of items were taken during the deputies' search of Carver's home. According to court documents, some of those items included DNA evidence, clothing, the knife, a 4-door Chevy, and a yellow Amazon tablet with the name "C. Carver" written on the back in black magic marker.

Officials have received data analysis from the Amazon tablet and are working through any evidence that it may have contained.

Oh my god that’s so much blood everywhere, I’m sick to my stomach at both that image and the agony of her family right now.
Dre - was there an imagine showing the bloodstains in MSM? I couldn't find one. I know they often don't post out of respect for family members - I was just going to try and get a read on splatter patterns.

:oops:So sorry- should have used the word “imagery”. ... I was not expecting to read about the blood in all the rooms, with the knife found
