This is a good question. Why was she kidnapped? What did she go through that the perp didn’t want to do so at her home? Did they just want extra time to flee the state? Is it possible revenge or emotions were involved? Or was it a stranger that finds thrill from abduction? Terrible to think about. I’m so sad her life ended this way,Something to think about: why take her from the home? It appears she was viciously attacked, so why wouldn’t the killer just leave her there in the home? Needed to buy time to set up an alibi?
I haven’t read anything that, for me, clearly articulated how police know she was a meeting a new man. Could this be a cover story? And by cover story, I do not mean that she was making up something. I mean did someone tell police or her mother this story?
And I read that she dropped her children off at the babysitter on Thursday. But no alarm was raised until she did not show up for work on Friday morning. Were the children supposed to stay the night at the babysitter? Because otherwise, wouldn’t the babysitter be concerned when the mother did not return sometime that evening?
I have a feeling LE will be able to identify and locate this brutal killer, before too long. Only my gut feeling, and it's certainly been quite wrong before, so we shall see. Sending good thoughts to her family and investigators!Community works to support Carver's family, investigators piecing together information
Photo of man in white shirt and cap is in Cynthia's cell phone records. Not necessarily an actual picture of the man she was going out with that evening. Maybe a picture of someone else that the murderer was using to hide his identity. Was this a planned murder?
Photo not shown, btw.
He must have gotten blood in his car when he transported. Wonder if he still has that car? He must have had to do some serious cleanup before using it again.
I sincerely hope that the death of Cynthia Carver is not going to be one of this area's unsolved crimes.
If she indeed had a "date", she might have alerted the babysitter that she would be returning home too late to get the children and for the babysitter to keep them overnight. If my daughter and son in law are going to be out late on their date nights whichever set of grandparents are watching them will keep the kids overnight (as they are quite young) so they aren't awoken at 11 PM, and then taken home to try and get back to sleep (makes EVERYONE happier the next morning).I haven’t read anything that, for me, clearly articulated how police know she was a meeting a new man. In a stabbing death, it's possible to transfer a lot of DNA from the killer to the victim. Hands are a major vector for transfer of DNA detected at crime scenes You don't want to leave that behind.Something to think about: why take her from the home? The Fourth Amendment's protection against unreasonable search and seizure still applies, and because you have a legitimate expectation of privacy in the information stored in your cell phone even if a victim of a possible crime, a search warrant is needed before a police officer or investigator can examine your data.I’m wondering in instances like these- where blood is found everywhere as well as a bloody knife, why the police cannot gain access to phone records IMMEDIATELY.. this case has been going on for weeks and everything still points to communications on her phone!
Thank you for posting this. I'm glad that LE seems to have a very good idea as to who the man is that Cynthia was perhaps going to be seeing the night she died.

I first thought BG=Bridge Guy, the as yet unknown suspect in the Abby and Libby murder case, so glad you explained Yeah, Cynthia's killer might not be too bright, and I hope and pray they can arrest him very soon!Thankfully it sounds like the BG made it easy with the SIM card stuff. That's a pretty basic (lucky for us and for LE) oversight.
ETA: BG= bad guy (habit from my years in LE...that's the PC term that we were allowed to put in reports...)
