On July 4, the sheriff’s office sent out an updated press release on the disappearance of Janet Renee Field, a 49-year-old woman who lived near the Scottsville area. Her disappearance ten years ago was identified as suspicious, but few leads have developed over time and the case remains unsolved.

Fluvanna officials renew calls for assistance in cold case

The Fluvanna County Sheriff's Office renewed calls for information on the whereabouts of Janet Renee Field, who disappeared over the Fourth of July weekend 10 years ago.
