The fact that this is a press conference and not a press release, leads me to believe there is major information to share.

Especially considering the time.

I think the pressure by MFB's supporters also making the PD communication necessary. They're still in front of City Hall -- Mayor was compelled to make a statement.

As the search for a missing Manassas Park mother intensifies, police executed a search warrant at her home Wednesday evening and are expected to hold a news conference at 9:30 p.m.

A heavy police presence was seen surrounding the home of 28-year-old Mamta Kafle Bhatt, who has been missing for three weeks. Her baby girl turned a year old Tuesday without her mother present.

The search at Bhatt's home could be a significant development. Forensic investigators from Prince William County's police department were present at the search, apparently lending their abilities to Manassas Park police, who are the lead investigators on the disappearance.

According to neighbors, officers said a warrant was being served

Noting:

Manassas Park Chief of Police Mario Lugo confirmed today's heavy police presence at the home on Heather Court in the Blooms Crossing neighborhood was the result of a search warrant.

On Wednesday evening, there was police tape surrounding the front of the single-family brick home and a forensics van in the driveway.

On Wednesday evening, forensic investigators were inside the family's home on a cul-de-sac, taking pictures in what appears to be the master bedroom on the second floor.

This is paywalled, but from the preview it says police arrived 5pm and the house was circled with yellow crime scene tape around 7pm.
