hi....everyone.....just came home from picking up my kids from school....2.30pm here in Australia........and looked up websleuths to see this....

I am so sorry to hear of her death........such a beautiful beautiful girl with so much potential.......my condolences to her family....

like someone mentioned before, this was the case that got me onto websleuths......here in oz we do not here much about your crime but this one was big news, I think because of the metallica connection....

I was hoping she had run off with a mystery boyfriend and living happily in the hills somewhere......so so sad

This old article quotes several people who claimed to have seen Morgan that night and early in the morning, too.

Also, her parents said that the battery tends to come out of the phone easily when dropped. That makes me wonder if she had a blackberry? My battery falls out very easily.

Great article! Even though it's an older article, it gives a nice, clear explanation of the several possible sightings of Morgan. Also a picture of the necklace Morgan wears.

I have been reading over the last few pages since i got back thought i would try to give some ideas ..i mentioned earlier about the woods. Hunters dont stand in the middle of the feild to hunt they use the woods and the owner did say they get the odd trespasser hunting. That might be why the killer did not put her in the woods .Also i read someone ask why he walked back when he went out on a tractor ,I think 1 it was a skelleton he found not as if there was a need for an ambulance and 2 he is smart and new not to mess the crime scene up any more then he allready did so he turned the tractor off and walked back so as to not to disturb the ground any more.

I fish alot where i live and we often go out at night and most nights u dont need a huge flastlight or headlights because of the moon and the stars

But that night was rainy/misty & cold...as I recall it was completely overcast

We live out in the country and on full moon nights you can see how to walk the roads where we live...you don't need a flashlight just like you said. People living out in the country are used to the dark, it's not like being in the city. My husband, who is a city boy, was shocked at how many stars you can see where we live now versus not being able to see that many in the city. Does anybody remember if there would have been a full moon around the time Morgan disappeared? I've always loved a full moon and living out in the country to enjoy it.

I don't think we know exactly where the body was found yet. Nancy Grace gave a precise location but I don't think that's official.

TY carbuff. I'm at work with no access to TV so I'm trying to get a visual of the area.

RIP Morgan

Our love and thoughts go out to Morgan's family. As I wrote to a family member, I do take heart in the fact that her parents are no longer in the hell of limbo and and can now grieve, something they have been robbed of until now.

Why did he walk back? Did he walk there to begin with? With all the rain we've had wouldn't it make more sense to take the tractor? JMO

I agree, it does seem like the logical way to get back would have been on the tractor. Though he may have been in shock. When I was 11 my brother wrecked his bike and sliced his leg open really badly. Instead of riding my bike back to the house (much faster!) I ran through the neighborhood on foot without thinking.

I suppose a tractor in a super muddy field might have actually been slower than walking too. Interesting question.

Edit: I see that Indiana at Heart suggested he might have left the tractor so he could find the spot again. I think that's a very good possibility!

Just a few months before this, my friend disappeared from the Dave Matthews concert in DC. She woke up on the side of a road later that night, with cuts and bruises. Her purse was found outside the concert venue. She has no memory of even leaving the concert. Thank God she’s ok, but her experience, coupled with Morgan’s disappearance, and one other concert disappearance I heard about this year in VA make me think someone is out there preying on women at concerts.

He may have left it there so he would not forget where he found her body. He has a 700 acre ranch it might be hard to remember the exact location ...:waitasec:

(bolding mine)

That makes the most sense. MOO

I don't know. I'm just going by what he said walk back to 30 minutes. Maybe he left tracyor there so he could go back to that spot. Patty I'm sure taped it so it might be posted later tonight or NG comes on again 10 pm easton time

I'm thinking that perhaps he got waaay close to the body with the tractor, and realized that if he moved it, it would destroy part of the scene/evidence. I would think he would have to have been very near Morgan, if indeed the grass (prior to the snow/heavy rains) was waist tall. That's a LOT of matted down material to cover the body.
