One thing that has been bugging me. The statement that they are looking for Nicole's cellphone, and Davids cellphone. But when the police went to Natalie's dorm room before she opened the door she texted "POLICE" to David. The police found it on her phone. So where could he have ditched the phone so quick as to hide it from the police. Why do they not have his phone? Makes you wonder.

Well, you've probably figured out the gist of it, but here's a summary:

Nicole's body was found a few yards from the road, face down, next to some rocks. There was no cover - it's not as if she were under bushes or branches, but rather left exposed. The officer in the video says he did not think her body was "placed" in that position, implying she was tossed or dumped and not arranged.

The thing is, just a few feet away is a very, very steep hill that leads to wooded bramble area. It doesn't seem like it would take much more effort to roll the body down that hill (geez, I feel awful writing this).

That's the gist of the video showing the location where Nicole was found.

The road itself looked small and narrow. I wouldn't expect there to be much traffic on it in the middle of the night, but also, any car parked there would definitely be noticed. So, perhaps, they were nervous and wanted to leave quickly.

Whatever the case, I'm thankful Nicole's body was recovered as quickly as it was.

HTH.

Thank you for that! Yes sounds like they wanted to leave quickly. I'm surprised though she wasn't found earlier, even if it was a less traveled road there must have been some cars coming by over the course of 3-4 days?

God this is all so sad :( Just hours earlier so happy and excited, and then she lies there face down in the dirt. It hurts to think of it!

What screenshot do you mean? What kind of clue did Nicole leave with a screenshot? What have I missed?

Nicole had a screenshot on her IG account iirc of a conversation she had with a "David A" on Kik. I might have gotten this wrong because all these sm's confuse the heck out of me. Someone else will probably give you more accurate details.

But we can't post screenshots of social media here.

The spot where Nicole's body lay was lower than the road and a bit out of sight. I couldn't hear exactly what the sheriff said about it (maybe someone else here did?) but from what it looked like to me, she would not have been in plain view. Depending on how much attention someone was paying and probably height of the vehicle one would have been able to spot her, I think. So it wasn't a good hiding spot, but it also wasn't like she was on a flat surface, level with the road (if that makes sense).

That's an interesting point. Good thinking! Obviously tossing his phone wasn't part of the original plan - that NK knew about anyway since she decided to send him a text on it. Internal garbage somewhere?

Yes that makes sense. Thank you!

Maybe he had two phones.

Yes, I should've explained that better. You're right - she was down an incline from the road.

Maybe they buried the phones with the shovel and he got another phone?

I keep wondering Nicole's connection to the campus. Of course it's entirely possible they simply found her on Kik. But all week it feels as if there is more missing to the puzzle and I'm sure there is. I would be curious if NL has relatives that work on campus and Nicole was used to tagging along from time to time.

It's been years since I watched Nancy Grace. But I did yesterday evening after several of you said the gluten thing would make smoke come out of her ears. She had a guest who said NL had been seen on campus before. He sounded nuts. As if he said it simply to take the opposite opinion of everyone else. NG got him off the screen fast. As nutty as he came across, he also voiced rumors that she'd visited campus.

Also, is it possible there is a 3rd person involved? Of course Keepers could be lying and she was there the entire time, but for the sake of another theory, let's say she wasn't. You all mentioned the possible amount of blood ( :( ) it's not out of the realm of possibility that there was a 3rd person who participated or helped in some capacity. Just a theory of course!

I'm very curious if anyone in her family worked on campus.

IMO -
Some theories.

IF NK had a boyfriend, and she was close to DE, is it plausible she tried to set him up with someone? Is it plausible she catfishes NL into meeting with DE? We have Instagram "evidence" that might point to DE and NL communicating in late November early December. Could NK set the two up, not knowing NL's real age? Hoping to find someone for DE so he would stop hitting on her? Maybe she didn't like him in terms of dating but enjoyed him as a friend and confidant.

Also - some ***rumors*** stating that NL was having relations with other students on campus. Is it possible that she told DE she might be pregnant and he then heeded the help of NK to murder NL so he wouldn't have to worry about if she was pregnant or not? If she was.. Might not have belonged to DE but he wasn't aware of her relations with other students so he assumed, by default, it was his? And had to do something about it?

Were the two suspects interested and fascinated with Making a murderer? Did they want to murder someone and try to beat the system?

This is all in my opinion only as I try to put together a stronger motive.

Time will tell.

Yes she did text "Police" to DE while LE was in his room - and reports say that is how LE was led to NK. However -- have been wondering: How did NK know 'Police' were en route? Were their dorm rooms in such a place that one could see LE ride by? And it seems then, that NK left her own room and went 'off campus' and was found there. Wonder how she got 'off campus' so quickly????
Her dorm is on a corner and just beyond the other side of the road is "off campus" and down the road is the police department. It would have been very easy for her to get off campus fast. Downtown is very close. The police department is too. Her dorm is just down the road from Davids. Walking distance.

Here is a URL that I think will show what I described in an earlier post. You can see the old hwy south of the reconstructed hwy. I believe they dropped her body south of the old hwy.

But do we know for sure that DE had his cell and saw that text? He might have dumped his cell already and she sent that text not knowing he wouldn't see it?

Panic had started I guess.

I guess panic had started. It was extremely dark - maybe they didn't realize at the time, as the reporter did, that if they placed her body down the ravine it would be unlikely to be found. My guess is, in the dark, they had no idea the cover they could have had, and she wouldn't have ever be found. Thank God she was.

Lol! Kreepers Speekers.

I know! Jeeper Creepers! I really regret that statement about the stinky flower though. I know it is a very unique and big event for one of them to bloom. Doesn't make her creepy for wanting to go and see that flower. I stuck my boot in my mouth on that one! :footinmouth: Trying hard to remember to think before I post. :blushing: And also the comment about VA Tech college. It's a great college.

I have wondered about that, but it sounds like maybe the police were searching his room and he got the IM and the police picked up the phone and looked at it. I'll look for an article that talks about the phone message from Speekers.
