Never mind, I had it backwards:

"After Nicole's body was found, police found Keepers at her boyfriend's house and searched the premises. She allegedly sent Eisenhauer a text message warning: "POLICE."

Yes, I am confused. She has to have a different boyfriend. Maybe there is a 3rd person?

So when LE arrived at her house she immediately sent DE a text. and that is why LE splits up and sends officers to pick up BOTH suspects at the same time. :cop:

That's an interesting point. Good thinking! Obviously tossing his phone wasn't part of the original plan - that NK knew about anyway since she decided to send him a text on it. Internal garbage somewhere?
If he was smart at all- he would have done all of his online stalking and phone calls from a "burner" phone. That could easily be destroyed and disposed of.
As far as Nicole's phone. With the swanky wooded area they had her in while at the probably murder site as well as the long drive to the NC border they could have easily thrown it out into the forest somewhere.
The fact that it was turned off and on and then off again is very telling and makes me think they were ensuring that the phone was off and offline at some point. Probably right before disposing of it.
There is some reason though as to why they are looking at the pond. To be determined why.

Now this article states it completely different:

"On the 30th, they obtained a search warrant for Eisenhauer's dorm room. They questioned Eisenhauer and he said that, "he talked to Nicole on the 27th, drove to her house, but did not kidnap her."

While searching his dorm, police found a text from Keepers saying, "POLICE." They began to question Keepers, who complied. According to Pettitt, Keepers said she was "excited to be a part of something secret."

So wait--- he was already in custody at this point. I haven't seen where they are looking for his phone though. But I did see where they saw the text to him from her phone. I also have seen reference once or twice to getting her from her boyfriends house. But all others say her dorm room and refer to her telling them where to find the blanket.

I have wondered about that, but it sounds like maybe the police were searching his room and he got the IM and the police picked up the phone and looked at it. I'll look for an article that talks about the phone message from Speekers.

Yes, I could be mistaken, but that's what I thought I read had happened. NK sent DE that text message (POLICE), but police at the time were also questioning DE and searching his room and I believe they had his phone and saw that message come in.

At first it was reported police were in DE's dorm when he received the 'POLICE' text from NK, and that's what led them to her and why they started questioning her.

It's starting to sound like the MSM has figured out this is going to be a hot case and they're trying to outdo eachother by being the first to report something. And as per usual they don't seem to care much about actually getting things right. Figures.

Here's another article from today:

Woman charged in teen's death says she, too, was bullied

Keepers insists she was not present at the killing itself but she went along for the ride, Pettitt said. And once Nicole was dead, Keepers helped load her body into Eisenhauer's Lexus, the prosecutor added.

Pettitt said Keepers revealed the plot after officers tracked her down but that she first tried to warn Eisenhauer, sending him a one-word text message reading "Police."

Unfortunately the Fox video will not play for me. :( Tried Chrome and FF.

Here's the Greta video YouTube link:

I cannot for the life of me find anything on DE. Only one friend, Gaige Kern, who runs with him at VT made a comment about his shock, but that's it. GK did write a personal letter to DE on his fb 2 days ago, but I don't think I'm allowed to post.

Thank you for posting that. That was an incredible letter. It's sad to see how widespread the heartache is, when someone does something so horrific. Like ripples in a pond.

Those "POLICE" text reports are so confusing. At first, I remember seeing that she send him the text while they were already in his room and that was how they tied her to the crime. That made sense, except how would she know the police were coming. She would've had to happened to see them from her dorm. I guess that's possible, but seems kind of unlikely to me.

The other way makes more sense in that they already talked to her and then she sent him a text to warn him. If that was the case though, how would the police have already known about her and searched her? Both ways are so confusing.

Yep, you would think they could remain consistent on the facts, but here we go... :rollercoaster:

bbm - I was thinking, maybe they threw a bag with bloody clothes and cleaning wipes etc in there.

Probably word of mouth?
