:twocents:

I've taken many a nap while my child watches TV, especially when I had other children under one year. It's inevitable. Usually, I was on the couch with them but I'm sure I fell asleep in another room on occasion, too. For goodness sake, I've fallen asleep in the laundry room while folding laundry before!

TV was invented for mothers to use as a babysitter, I'm sure. I guess I just don't see putting her child in front of the TV and taking a nap as a horrible thing to do. Obviously, though, this time it turned out horrific. Question is: will she ever be able to sleep again?

I spaced my kids way apart but napping while kids watch TV has been normal in every aspect of my life.
Doors chained, windows locked everything sharp put away ,I could market myself a child safety expert. I am paranoid it is probably why I found websleuths. My 9 year old ,just this year has starting making me worry about napping. He is inventive and active and OMG child sit still. He is the youngest of 4 . I don't feel the parents are involved . I feel it is an abduction by someone who knows the family. I hate thinking the mom feels guilty for doing what moms do all the time.

I noticed something while reading through this case. While following the Malik Drummond case which is very similar to this case (both were left with gf/stepmom while dad was away, both left in front of the tv while mom was elsewhere and both were thought to have left on their own and walked out the door) there is a big difference in the way our sleuthing progressed.

For me, I felt almost immediately that Maliks parents were involved. I didn't believe (and still don't) for a minute that this child got up and walked out the door on his own. There were some red flags but overall we read media stories that told us "facts" of what happened without spinning it either way. Same with Terry's situation. Left in front of the tv while mom was elsewhere and its strongly assumed that he walked outside on his own.

Even though I don't know anything about these 2 families I just have a "gut feeling" these parents are not involved. That may come back to bite me but its what I think. I also get the feeling that some other sleuthers here agree with me. What I'm trying to say is that we are a group that really cares about others and want to do whatever we can to help families get through these nightmares whatever the outcome. And we do it sitting in from of a computer. But over time, and there are many, many others who were here long before I even knew about the site, you learn to trust your gut feelings. You learn to read between the lines, to watch facial expressions and body language then decipher their meaning. We do it all without ever meeting any of the players.I'v learned what questions need to be asked and who can answer and we do it sitting in front of the computer.

LOL like I said the final outcome of Terry's situation could make this post irrelevant but it was just a thought I had.

JMO, MOO

Wait - I thought in Noah's case, this is a married intact couple who are biological parents of both Noah and the new baby?

Noah's parents are not married, from what I can tell, different last names. There has not been any mention that Noah & sister aren't the bio children of the parents.

I agree as I have done the same in the living room. I always say, even now with older kids, if I go to nap on my bed I may sleep for hours. Does the family only have one car?

I think some people would have a better understanding if they just looked at the map. Dogs followed Noah's scent to the end of the driveway. I doubt it was an old scent from him getting into the family vehicle that morning or any other day, or from getting dropped off at the end of the driveway. Scent dogs don't track backwards. They know where the scent starts and where it ends. Also, that driveway is 250 feet long.

I believe he did head to the end of the driveway. I personally thought someone on a bicycle could have picked him up (before the bicycle rumour).

This is . . . odd. LE has been unable to substantiate the information in the 2012 abduction attempt, but says anyway that the two events are unrelated. What? If they don't know what happened in 2012, and have been unable to solve that incident, (that apparently had an unrelated witness besides the 8 year old child) how could they possibly say it has no bearing on Noah's case?

I agree that that's the theory, and the attempt made in training, but you have to admit scent dogs are SO OFTEN wrong. They're great at what they locate, and completely unreliable at what they communicate that doesn't turn up remains or a living person. I do have some small experience with SAR folks, and it's not out of the range of likelihood that that was Noah's trail the week prior. OR, that his trail was tracked there by searchers that morning. A fresh trail could EASILY have been tracked right to a car after his disappearance on someone else's shoes.

Perhaps they believe they have a very good idea what has happened in this case, but can't say at the moment?

Anyone get the feeling LE must know a whole lot more than they are letting on? They are focused on 1 mile.

Ah okay thank you! I had never heard of it. I just googled and saw the last name of the killer and realized that must be the connection that he might be related to missing Noah.

Is there a possibility that somehow these cases could be related? As in taking Noah out of revenge? Horrible thought...

Here is a map, they live in the trailer behind the house based on posts by family on FB. https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=zz5anBtG3nsg.kQV2Jf2FdoUE

Did his scent track to the end of the driveway to their trailer or to the end of the road, meaning his scent tracked out to Highland rd?

I seen a news article, Noah's mother had spoken to the news about knowing the parents of a child that was abused a while back. I haven't posted the link because I don't believe the news has released the parents name. Just a thought maybe that morning Noah climbed and knocked a television or something on him and injured himself. Anything's possible right now.

BBM, I'm not sure I follow. You think he's trapped under a TV? Or he got hurt and instead of calling 911 she killed him and hid him?

I don't think he is trapped under a Television and I really am not trying to accuse. But I know kids like climbing so I guess it could be possible for him to have been climbing and knocked a Television or some object on him, and the mother panicked. It may just be my fear when my kids where younger I always worried about them getting hurt they were always jumping and climbing on everything.

I would imagine that their home has been gone over with a fine tooth comb. That and luminol. The mom has not been named as a POI has she? You could very well be right, but from the expressions on the face of LE, for some reason, I don't get that feeling. IMO

This has come up in almost every single case where a young child is reported missing and is later found dead at the hands of the parents. There is always the suggestion that the child died by accident but instead of getting help they hide the child. I can't recall one case where a child has accidentally died and the parents covered it up to look like homicide.
