I imagine either a local or state code would tell you what you had to do. But with EPA regs these days, there is not much you can do on your own property without some extra inspections. I assume as time goes on things are becoming more regimented by the feds. But different states have different geography and geology, which may require different regs. My husband knows a lot more about this than I do.

In thread #2, in post 736 & 820, you have a post or a quoted post from ksuri, a reporter for a local news station, that says the lid of this septic tank was under sod and grass. I did not know who ksuri was and questioned it, alerted a mod, and was assured this was msm, a very reliable reporter, so I assumed the question of whether a kid was playing with it was answered. Now it seems like we are covering the same info for the third time in four days. Did she retract what she said in her report? I am getting confused as to what is considered fact and rumor. Please help me. TIA.

Ksuri is a reporter (abc13) who I trust, who was at the scene after body removal. No she did not retract and I don't see a reason for her to, she reported what she saw from her vantage point.

Then today I saw and copied remarks by the PIO (see his remarks in my post that you are talking about) I posted the link you can read his remarks.

For me the differences are confusing.

1. You would think the PIO got his info from the Sheriff or was at the site

2. I believe Ksuri reported on what she saw after the fact

3. Courtney ask her family and they said the lid was under dirt/sod.

I don't know the answer and hope LE will speak soon. I thought it was worthwhile to post the link and What PIO Asker said.

No one knows what and how this happened but LE, we just have to wait.

I did all the research I could do about the septic tank and tank, lids in general, to share here and feel I did it responsibility.

All I can say about it.

Tomorrow can't get here soon enough.

I have became so involved in this & to me something just doesn't feel right. It is going to be hard for me to sleep tonight anticipating the cause of death tomorrow (hopefully they will decide to at least give us that much). In my opinion I just don't see how it could be an accident, we had a septic tank for a few years, and I don't think my 5 year old would've been able to access it and in the even that he would've been able to I highly doubt he would WANT to go inside of it. BUT at the same time I just feel like putting your child in a septic tank would be strange as well, aren't parents usually more... loving (for lack of better wording) when it comes to hiding a body. I'm up and down about it. I can't wait to hear the facts.

Here is a video of what the reporter said about walking the area and the lid location.

I appreciate when people repost links and discusses things over, because I can't be on here 24/7 and you all give so much information. :) Plus there's always new people coming either posting or reading that helps them without going back pages and pages. Actually the septic tank is the whole focus of the case now, so we'll be discussing it for days to come.

In addition Wendybtn, see my post 31 in this thread for the video of K Suri Crowe's exact words and commentary;

"whether it was there or not on Sunday when Noah reportedly disappeared, investigators absolutely will not reveal any of those details."

LE will not clarify anything on the lid condition, so bits and pieces seem contradictory for now. I trust KSuri's observation and the previous tenants who verified that it was usually under the sod.

I am hoping we can find out in about 12-18 hours from now, LOL :tantrum:

Seems hard to believe that it was just a week ago that Noah went missing. Feels like so much longer. Now one week later, we are reading his obit. It is just so incredibly hard to process it all. In his pictures he looks like a very happy little boy. This has to be some tragic freak accident. Like everyone else, I cannot wait for LE's update.

Welcome!!!!!

This is one of 2 bizarre cases that I am following. Very anxious to see what is revealed tomorrow. Wondering what has been found in the septic truck that was taken by LE.

He was such a beautiful sweet child just looking at his face, but people that knew him just loved him so much. One of the things his uncle, and the admin that lived there a year said was how much they loved his laugh.

If the sheriff has such disdain for the media/social media, couldn't he make it so the least amount of information possibly is shared with the media? How much of this case is supposed to be shared with the public....couldn't they basically declare a "mum order" or whatever it's called, if he really hates the media so much? And we never know (I guess unless there's a public trial??)?

BBM - Like Casey Anthony? Or the mother of 5 year old Jeremiah Oliver whose body was stuffed in a suitcase and tossed off the highway like fast food garbage? :gaah:

The number of cases - we don't ever want to believe, Certainly not a Mother!. But yes.

(I am making NO assumptions it was a parent.)

:cow:

I've thought this too, and not just with missing kids. Septic tanks on random abandoned properties seem like great places to hide bodies. The time, money, and manpower it would take to just go searching random septic tanks makes them idea for body disposal.

some of us thought that is where Heather Elvis was hidden................IIRC LE did drain and search several in Fla

And then there are the cases where child has never been found (Haleigh C., Lisa Irwin, etc...) so,we may never know if a parent was involved or disposal method.

I am finding it impossible to believe that if Noah died accidentally, LE would be acting so strangely (Imo). It would have been sad, but simple, to put the rumors to rest and the community at ease, if they believe he fell in by accident, on his own. Jmo

I'm so afraid you are going to be right but hoping its not the case.

I guess I didn't think about that. I can't wrap my mind around any of it. I'd be an awful detective!

But it was a known fact that each house had a septic tank.
The LE must have known there was a septic tank and decided not to search it.- maybe because it looked undisturbed/not visible?

That's what I was thinking. Typically they are so inaccessible that it's obvious if a child could have been near one. I know there are exceptions to this, but I think even if he'd fallen in accidentally because the lid gave way, even if the lid flipped back into place the grass would have been disturbed.
