We can't blame her though. She couldn't have known that the man she met on a dating site was going to do this to her.

She couldn't have known, but when meeting strangers for a date, it's always a good idea to let someone know who, where and when.

One of my daughters met a man who looked perfect on social media. She told me where, when and who. They met for dinner and she called from the bathroom mid-dinner to tell me that he had cerebral palsy and she was concerned he was going to stick his fork in his eye. Of course, she was joking, but it illustrates how what we see on dating sites and what we meet in person can have little in common.

I 100% agree it's always good to let someone know who, where, when and to make it a public location.

I am confused on the shopping cart aspect. Are they saying that they think he used one to transport the remains in all four murders? If so, that is an extremely strange (and crucial) signature.

Apparently there's video of him with a shopping cart, and a shopping cart was found near the location of two bodies. It sounds like he wanted to look like a homeless man with a cart full of junk heading into the woods - but he was transporting murdered women.

Missing NorCal woman may be victim of ‘shopping cart’ serial killer, police say | KRON4

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (KRON) — A missing Northern California woman may have been murdered by a man who police dubbed the “shopping cart killer,” investigators said.

Stephanie Harrison, 48, of Redding, Calif., has not been seen or heard from since August. She was vacationing on the East Coast when she vanished.

Anthony Eugene Robinson, 35, of Washington D.C., is the prime suspect for four homicides. Law enforcement officers call Robinson the “shopping cart killer” because he allegedly used shopping carts to move and dump murder victims’ bodies in remote areas. <modsnip: copyright rule>

he was at the motel that same night she was last heard from so it fits.

Is she the schizophrenic with children and grandchildren who told family that she was visiting friends at the hotel where the suspect was also booked that weekend? He met women through online dating sites. It's quite possible that she was lured there through online dating - if it's the woman I read about earlier.

My impression from earlier articles is that family knew where she was staying, but not which friends she was visiting.

I suppose she could have been lured and then agreed to meet the suspect at the hotel, insisting on separate rooms. Most people would assume that separate rooms guaranteed safety.

I guessing that family helped her set up her computer, so perhaps there's a solid digital trail with this missing person.

I'm curious why no staff heard any unusual noise at the time that the murders probably occurred at the hotel. Was he a quiet guest?

Yes, that’s Stephanie Harrison. :( According to this she was schizophrenic. Apparently it was her bank activity that showed the hotel.

Missing California Woman Last Checked Into Huntington Hotel

I wonder which missing person led to this location, which missing person led to more victims. A pregnant woman was identified via tattoo after her brother recognized the photo of the suspect. It sounds like the missing California woman is included because she disappeared from the same motel. Was it the woman with 6 children that broke the case? If so, how? Was her phone tracked to the motel? That leads to the motel, not the man with no criminal record.

Did police look at surveillance footage and notice a man with a red shopping cart, and then a red shopping cart was found near a couple of bodies? The shopping cart identified the suspect while they were looking for one of the victims who was last seen at the hotel?

Did all of the missing women who were allegedly last alive at the motel register at the motel?

Thank you! She seems like a likely victim - question is finding the body, I suppose. Does the DA need a body to file charges, or can it be proven using something else, like digital trail?

They have remains and I read that investigators are traveling to Redding to collect DNA from her family to confirm it. According to the link, LE saw the missing posters her family (?) had put on utility poles around the DC area and thought the second body found might be Stephanie.

Stephanie Harrison: 4th Victim of the Shopping Cart Killer?
After verifying that Harrison stayed at the Moon Inn, Guglielmi said, the department arranged to obtain her DNA samples for comparison.

“We’re going to fly out there to get a DNA sample, just to be sure,” the spokesperson said. “If it matches the DNA of the body recovered, we’ll have to work backward to figure out how they intersected.”

Links on the first page of the thread give more info, but here is the basic chronology…
Stephanie Harrison: 4th Victim of the Shopping Cart Killer?

As Breaking Daily News has previously reported, 35-year-old Anthony Robinson was charged with the murders of 54-year-old Elizabeth Redmond and 39-year-old Anita Laurie Smith, whose remains were found near a shopping center in Harrisonburg, Virginia in November.

Surveillance video from nearby buildings allegedly showed Robinson hauling the bodies to the site in a shopping cart.

Later, when Washington, D.C. authorities were searching Alexandria for Cheyenne Brown, they found a shopping cart near the two bodies behind the Moon Inn Motel. That discovery led investigators to link Robinson to the Alexandria murders, and also gave the accused serial killer his nickname.
<snip>

Fairfax County police spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi told WTOP that Harrison had not been officially reported missing in the area. Investigators only knew about her case from the posters hanging around town.

“When we found the body [believed to be Cheyenne Brown], we also found these random flyers on Route 1,” he said. “There’s no missing persons report for this woman in Fairfax County, Alexandria or Arlington. We did reach out to the Redding, California, police department after seeing this, and they do, in fact, have a report,” Guglielmi added.

More about Stephanie Harrison from an earlier link:
‘Shopping Cart Killer' Investigated in Virginia, Remains Found in Fairfax Co.

Her sister, Joei Harrison, says Stephanie flew from California to D.C. to go sightseeing. She checked into the Moon Inn in Fairfax County in August and then disappeared.

Joei says Robinson and Stephanie were staying in separate rooms at the hotel. She says they did not know each other.

Stephanie had three adult children and three grandchildren. Her remains have not been identified. Joei has agreed to provide a DNA sample to assist with the investigation of her sister's death.

"When I think about my sister, I think about the life she lived," Joei said about Stephanie. "She was beautiful and vibrant."

What order were they reported missing? Were they looking for Cheyenne Brown first? Was it phone tracking on the woman who had 6 children that led to the motel and nearby woods search. Was she registered as a guest at the motel?

The suspect met women on dating sites. Do we have more information about dates last seen?

Here are a few dates to fill in:

Stephanie Harrison was last heard from August 19. She was reported missing August 31 from Redding CA, so she was the first one of the victims reported missing. However, according to links already posted, she was not reported missing to LE in VA near where her family discovered through bank records that she had stayed in the hotel. It was the missing posters nearby that alerted LE when the bodies were found near the hotel.

Cheyenne Brown was went missing second, but she was the first one reported missing in DC/VA. She was last seen Sept 30. She was reported missing October 11. She would have been the one LE was looking for first.

Elizabeth Redmond’s daughter last heard from her mother October 24, texting from the Howard Johnson hotel. But the date of the press release about her from LE is Nov. 10

Charlottesville police asking for help finding missing woman

Regarding what caused LE to find Redmond from Harrisonburg and Smith from Charlottesville, this doesn’t answer your specific questions:
“HPD and the Charlottesville Police Department were conducting two separate missing persons investigations which resulted in narrowing the focus of their search for Ms. Redmon and Ms. Smith to an area near Linda Lane,” said Harrisonburg Police. “The bodies of both women were discovered by detectives from Harrisonburg Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit in an undeveloped lot off Linda Lane within a short distance of each other, though their deaths took place at different times.”

Officials said they believe they have the suspect in custody and identified him as Anthony Robinson, 35. Police told News 3 Robinson has been charged with two counts of murder.

“He was almost unassuming in many ways, and that's what makes this case scary,” Maj. Ed O’Carroll, Bureau Chief of the Major Crimes/Cyber and Forensics with Fairfax County Police told News 3. “He is on video relocating human remains in a shopping cart to his final resting place, and he didn't do it once. He did it twice.”

Fairfax County Police told News 3 they've been in touch with every law enforcement agency in the Commonwealth about the case.

Since last week’s announcement, O'Carroll said others have come forward, saying they met Robinson online.

“I know two individuals in particular, once they met upon him, realized that something maybe wasn't right and got away,” O’Carroll said. “They sensed that something wasn't right. They acted swiftly, and their actions may have saved their life.”

O'Carroll mentioned Robinson is believed to have used several online dating sites.

“We do know one is called Plenty of Fish,” O’Carroll said. “There are others out there that he has used.”

Maybe the ones that got away followed their instincts because they had read Gavin De Becker’s excellent book “The Gift of Fear.” Or they were just smart and unafraid to be impolite. We women are often afraid to insult someone by leaving. JMO

Does that mean that the first two were murdered at the Moon Inn, Fairfax County, and their bodies were found near the motel ... and, is that where there is footage of the suspect twice with a body in a shopping cart?

His next two victims were found 2 hours away on Linda Lane, Harrisonburg. They lived in Harrisonburg and Charlottesville.

Does that mean that he gets rid of the bodies quickly, and limits the number of bodies per location to two.

His timeline is:

Thursday, August 19
Thursday, September 30 (6 weeks later)
Sunday, October 24 (3.5 weeks later)
Sunday, November 14 (3 weeks later)

Is there another set of two bodies found at another location? Are their victims in April or March? Are there more victims within 2-4 hours from these victims.
