right now would be good to have a helicopter up in the air looking at remote areas for a single fire within a 50 mile radius. I'm thinking he isn't far away.

Another thought that comes to mind.. JE has a friend on FB who appears to be a truck driver, based on his public profile (his name starts with a J, and his profile pic is an 18 wheeler.) If he has other friends who are truck drivers, I wonder if that would be a means of escape.

Another thought that frightens me is I worry that JE will find it too "cumbersome" to travel with Brittany, since everyone is on the lookout for BOTH of them. It would be a lot easier for him to move around if it were JUST him. I surely hope he has no intention of hurting her.

IF someone is hiding them...My gut tells me it isn't being done willingly.

I still think it's odd that LE has ruled out (per Chris) the areas of Craig & Botetourt Counties here in VA.

That coupled with the statement of Chief Lavinder this morning that someone may be hiding them leads me to believe that LE has some kind of specific info of where Easley might be.

I agree...I don't think they will be found in a campground - but somewhere remote and VA has a lot of remote areas...but a Neon would not be able to access them. They would have to ditch/hide the car someplace to walk into some of these areas.

Craig Co., VA comes to mind...lots of wild game and creeks for fishing. (Craig Co. adjoins Roanoke Co.)... But as cold as it has been...I just can't imagine them staying in this area...Seems they would be seeking at least a somewhat warmer climate.

MB, Craig County came to mind immediately when I saw they had purchased a tent. There is "back woods" there. When I was a kid we had a property on Craig Creek and I mean it is waaaaayyyyy back in the sticks. Back in the 60's we did not even have electricty back in there. My grandfather had built a two room cinderblock cabin with a fireplace and a 'path'. (My grandfather built an outhouse all the way across the creek from the cabin). I was a city girl and hated every minute of those "fun family" camping "experiences" and we went in the summer and spring. Cannot imagine what it is like back in there this time of year. Doubt anyone but local VA residents would know anything about those areas back in there though. Oh and on the way out of that place you had to drive across that creek three times. I believe there are little bridges there now though. Yes there sure are some desolate places for someone to disappear in the surrounding areas of Roanoke/Salem.

I am also Liaison with LE as A Forensic, Shrink...

I have not seen a Orange BOLO since we had a person in our mall shooting a gun at everyone and took off in his car shooting out the window...???

So, I have no Idea why??

Maybe because they have classified JSE as "extremely dangerous."

I still have a hard time believing that there my be add'l accomplices - willing accomplices, I should say. It's one thing to help someone out if they robbed a store or something, but a whole 'nother level if someone has murdered someone and abducted a child. I don't think there are many folks out there willing to risk jail/prison for assisting under these circumstances.

This is when I wish Google Earth was LIVE! Gosh think of how we could search and zoom in on things. LMAO

If JS went to a location he wouldn't expect to go in but still in Virginia Matthews and Gloucester county has everything he would need to hide out. Maybe he followed the Taylor Bayle case?
I'm in that area myself Lera and with all the hunters out and about they'd be hard pressed to go unnoticed. And I have to say if one of these guys caught this man with a young girl out in the woods, and could see he was up to no good; then we'd wouldn't have to worry with a trial...buh bye...

The tent he bought leaks badly, zipper broke on many easily, and one person said anyone over the height of 5ft 10" is in trouble. One person said No head room, very small for even two people.

Hope it doesn't rain. LOL

I know around our area here in Salem, we have a 60% chance of rain this Saturday with HIGH = 43° degrees and LOW = 19° degrees, as well as a 30% of snow showers/wind on Sunday with HIGH = 24° degrees and LOW = 14° degrees.

My late husband's family owns land in Oriskany (Botetourt Co.). It's roughly 200 acres and I've been all over that land...and there are so many places to hide there, that no one would find you if you didn't want to be found.

The farmhouse has electricity, but only cold running water...and no bathroom, but an outhouse... And this was in the 1990's...

So I def. know what you're talking about.

Giles Co. and on down into far SW VA have some very remote spots also...and some very poor areas that probably have no cable reception and/or internet access. There are some people probably around the borders of VA/KY & VA/WV that have no idea of this story or that they need to be on the lookout for Easley.

jmo, if someone is hiding them........one of her girl friends? maybe parent/parents are out of town or just plain pays no attention. Some kids have no idea what the risk is. They would think it exciting. big adventure. I dont think an adult wouldnt hide them, but another 12 yr old girl would.

Cool, I'm in Gloucester 12 miles north of the courthouse...close to the river. Very few neighbors I have, but mathews there are a lot of hidden areas back roads. However if he has never visited here he wouldn't know about it.

I'm not sure how another 12 yr old would hide them...wouldn't that 12 yr old have parents who would want to know why there is another child and a grown adult in their household? Any ideas?

I can only imagine if anyone would be helping him would be a family member! My gut told me the mom sent him a coded message!

I worry you are cold (head south) “I’ll help you work this out. I love you,” she said.

I wonder if he told her they would be camping and that's why she was worried that he was cold. LE needs to check out his mom a little more. Maybe phone records and computer records. She knows something.

He called his mother Sunday night! If I was LE I would be questioning her very hard...playing the bad cop on her! She might know of a place they could go and told him! Once the police got her, she had to let him know it is best to dump the girl.

OK maybe this post is from too much crime reading adventures. LOL

Maybe if a 12 year-old's parents owned a summer house or a cottage she could sneak them a key to have copied?

There is a female on JE's FB that has the same last name. She also lists her current last name, probably married, and has a little boy as her profile pic. Page is private but her name starts with an M. Could this be a sister?
