You know she's doing this to save her life. She doesn't want to be alone 23 hours a day. She's trying to charm the jury...

Rubber room for the murderer tonight, I guess.

"Due to some of the statements she made in the interview, Sheriff Joe Arpaio said she will be placed on suicide protocol."

I really think this is just a ploy for the jury's sympathy. This was all orchestrated by the defense. Now the defense can say to the jury, oh look at how upset she was, she was even put on suicide watch, it actually happened, she didn't lie about wanting to commit suicide, see, see.
There is no way she would even think about committing suicide until the death verdict comes in. This is all just a ploy.

"Drown me! Roast me! Hang me! Do whatever you please," said Br'er Rabbit. "Only please, Br'er Fox, please don't throw me into the briar patch."

BINGO!
I agree 100%
typical JA

Verdict Count 1 1st Degree Murder: GUILTY.

I know this won't necessarily bring the family closure, as NG so eloquently pointed out, and you know what it might not even bring relief. The next time they remember something, something they did with Travis, or some memory they have of him, it will still hurt just as bad as before this verdict. But that is why the charges and the penalties are decided by a jury, and this jury did right. God Bless Them. This is the Justice System, and today it worked. This woman Jodi Ann Arias needs to be held responsible for what she did, and she will be. That is what today was about.

I know personally I am just a layperson watching the trial, and you know what when they read the guilty verdict, I was expecting to be so happy and jumping up and down (which I did do a bit), but I was surprised to find that I still found a profound nagging sense of sadness....NOT FOR JODI, but just knowing that this verdict will never bring Travis back for his family. And I don't think I will be able to fully feel relieved until they render the death verdict, that is the punishment I feel she deserves, that is the punishment that should be rendered by this jury.

I'm so glad that this jury made me believe in the system again. I pray for them, and I pray for Travis' family. They have been so stoic, and I believe their faith has a large part to do with that. I don't know how they have been able to hold themselves together. Such admiration for them.

Nicely said! I do feel pity and sadness for JA; not for what she brought upon herself, but for what she could have been.

I believe she's without conscience or remorse for killing Travis, and that's very sad to me. She's broken, mentally fried, if you will, and that's sad.

I believe she deserves the DP, and I'd vote for it if I were a juror. At any rate, she should never walk out of prison a free person. For me, it's sad any person should choose the path she did. Society loses as a whole; families and friend lose individually.

Prayers, healing and love to all Travis' family, friends, and you truly lovely WSs!

So on the after-verdict interview on myfoxphoenix JA says she wants death penalty rather than life- longevity in her family... blah blah blah. Hopes the family can find peace.

So she's on suicide watch at jail. They would not allow an interview while on suicide watch...the interview must have been done at court? She is being manipulative. She really does not want the dp. She is hoping the jury will give her what she does NOT want so she is saying she does NOT want life.

She's so full of $&%!.

She thinks she'll live a very long life and doesn't want to spend it all in one place.
I still don't buy one single word that comes out of her mouth.

It's me ..... and I'm still prancin' and dancin'

:dance::loveyou::skip::skip::skip::woohoo::seeya::toast::hero:

and I love you all!!!!:blowkiss::blowkiss:

Watched post-conviction interview with the dude from Fox. Worth a look if you are so inclined. She is sticking with rather get death than life, says longevity runs in the family, blah, blah, blah. Death is the ultimate freedom anyway. She said she was not expecting premeditation; however she thought felony murder was possible given how the law is written.

Note: They are showing the interview a little bit at a time, the first segment is a couple of minutes long. Will have to tune in at 5:30, 6:00, and then later (10 or 11).

What an incredible coup by Fox10 Phoenix!

With that being said, she is lying AGAIN. She is hoping the jurors see this and give her what she supposedly doesn't want - LWOP.

BS. Complete reverse psychology ploy....

She's scared to die.

She just said she considers death the ultimate freedom and would prefer death to life.

Jodi, we can "SETTLE". You can spend 15 or so years in jail waiting for the needle. Best of both worlds.

Jodi ran out of fools!

so wish I could have heard her when the cameras turned off. what a GREAT day!!!

Well I for one am going to watch American Idol right now.

I am done with the talking heads. I am DONE DONE DONE with Jodi!

She is STILL F'ING LYING! Even after the verdict.

So will never be sorry. Her words for the family rang SUPER HOLLOW to me!!!

So if I don't see y'all back here tonight, then I will see you bright eyed and bushy tailed in the morning. Juan can get a good nights rest to come back and make sure she gets her one last wish.

I for one have NO PROBLEM granting her that wish!
