Which juror did jc refer to as looking like sa? I saw the picture but couldn't figure out which one she was by the nicknames given them by our trial watchers.

Other than the foreman and the alternate who posted a message, does anyone know of any of the other jurors speaking out? tia

I just hope they didn't all agree not to speak and only let the foreman give a statement.

One thing that got me so upset with the non-verdict is knowing that we'd hear from the THs that there were juror(s) who believed the "abuse" allegation by the person they had just convicted of Murder 1!!! How can that be??!! I don't want to hear any more trashing of the victim!!!! Just can't stand it!

Here is what I will tell you...this is not the only trial in the world and this is not the only jury in the world. My post is clearly talking about generalizations.

I was NOT referring to the Arias Foreman but you have run with your own thoughts interjecting me into them. Disgraceful imo. I kindly ask that you refrain from using my posts in this way, thanks.

AGREED TxPro!
I had a similar "interjection" against me on a post I made prior to the 8-4 split announcement. I love this forum and have NO problem with others who have a different opinion. Just please... don't be rude about it. If you use the quote function to disagree with someone, how about saying "I respectfully disagree as I believe yadayadayada"....instead of attacking the person directly with insulting posts that infer (for the most part) that the poster's post/solution/thought/opinion/suggestion is ridiculous.

Better yet, just skip the quoting option/calling someone out and post your own opinion in a new post.

Further, I wouldn't want informative posters like TxPro (and many others) to stop posting because of this.

Please and thank you...

What message? I went to media thread to see if I could find links to any interviews etc.

I'm wondering if 20/20, Dateline or 48 Hours are doing a group interview with the Jury post verdict.. especially since ABC & 48 Hours were granted interviews with CMCHJA plus GMA exclusive with Foreman.. Honestly besides Troy they really got 2 of the most scene interviews Ryan Owens w/ her & GMA this morning.

I have a question... what do you peeps think about it's family not being there yesterday?

I haven't made any comments over a year on Webs since sickened verdict of CA in 2011, but I have been reading the threads.....

I'm glad that the jury made the right decision on the guilt phrase.. However, I'm also glad the jury was hung yesterday because I feel if the jury sentenced CMJA to death it'd be overturned because her attorneys didn't put on a defense for life/death.. I believe she will get new attorneys and the sentencing phrase will be not this summer.. maybe in the Fall..

I think CMJA's family said, they thought it was a questionn....... bs!!

:banghead:

Some of you may have seen my post last night, but it does worry me. So many DT moves have seemed staged... her family not being there goes right on the list of mitigating "exaggerations" of no family support...

...i will ship myself if it this is presented as evidence at the next penalty phase...

Mrs. G Norris had a good comment on this too...

brought over from last thread:

Well, see this CMJA creature is very, verrrryyyy sneaky...and what she did was she kept most of her side of the story verbally OVER THE PHONE, so there is no record of exactly went on and what started it and what the conversation was. That's pertaining to the May 26 text. Didn't she say that it started over IM on the computer, then it went to phone, and then finally I think what happened was that Jodi went into stubborn mode, got off the computer, prob. hung up on him over the phone, and so he was resorted to letting her know his side and unleashing on her thru text. That is the story there.

As far as the e-mails, I don't know why those weren't allowed in.

you're right----and this 'tirade' as jenny loved to call it was after she'd already recorded the sex tape without his knowledge.

she prepared for this case well before she committed it.

Justice for Travis! We're all still here. Delays are not denials!

:seeya: True : delays are not denials ...

:please::please::please::please::please: Now more than ever, Prayers for Travis and Prayers for the Alexander Family !

After pondering and getting over my initial shock of the mistrial, I will not be upset if Arias gets LWOP. I was adamant about her getting the DP, but after thinking on it for many hours I believe in my heart she will get the DP even if a jury doesn't sentence her to it.

Let me explain....

I remember years ago when I was living in Milwaukee and Jeffery Dahmer was sent to jail, I told my co-workers at lunch break that he will be killed in jail. I just knew it and I know it will happen to this murderer.

She is not a likable person although she thinks she is. She will not be able to manipulate, manipulators she will not be able to con, cons. But she will try and that will be her biggest mistake.

Perhaps she will get the same type of death penalty she inflicted on poor sweet Travis. Instead of quietly going to sleep someone will show her how she hurt and tortured Travis, without even knowing it.

Then she will truly wish she had been put on death row.

There is no doubt in my mind she will get the death penalty, even if she gets sentenced to LWOP.

JMHO
:seeya:

Obviously, I can't see the future or anything, but I think the probability of JA getting her ΑΣΣ kicked in prison is VERY high.
Methinks the other cons are not going to take kindly to the CM correcting their grammar.

This was juror #16, who was nicknamed "Maureen." I long thought she was a holdout for sure.

HLN is reporting that Its mother thought it was just another question and her and her family were off sightseeing at the time the verdict came down. It looks like some miscommunication. In fairness to Jodi's mother, she has been there every day since January and although I think it was foolish to plan sightseeing trips right at a time when a verdict was expected, she was told that it was a question so I guess she did not think it was imperative to be in court.

AZCentral.com has a interview with Donovan. I guess the family was told this was just a jury question.

I have an idea for Juan;

Next time, he should say : Imagine if it were Travis that pre-meditated this crime and killed Jodi in this cruel way : Imagine that he stabbed her in the heart, then proceeded to stab her 29 times, and then slashed her throat, THEN shot her and stuffed her in the shower to rot. Would you think he deserved the death penalty??

I think this will really bring it into light for the next jury, and take away the "woman" bias. He needs to make the jury aware of this bias, so they are aware of it and can catch themselves in deliberations if they start to cut her some slack.

I believe that he should be allowed by law to say that at least in his closing remarks. And I guarantee you just that visual will clear up this "woman" problem we seem to have with this jury. If the jurors are made aware ahead of time that there might be this bias, I think it will go a long, long way in them recognizing it and stopping it. If they're not made aware, they might not even realize they are doing it.

I think Juan was afraid to "go there" b/c he was afraid of alienating jurors. But he NEEDS to go there. The reality is that this looming "woman" thing is a problem, and it's there, and he needs to address it to the next jury.

:seeya:

I'm trying to be all zen-like and put myself into the jurors shoes.....and then BAM!!!!

Evil Shelby pops out and feels a tad bit angry.

They did a great job on everything else except this phase. :sigh:

And, based solely on the tiny three minutes that we got of the foreman, I no likey him....dunno why...he just struck me as.....inflexible.....

AZCentral.com has a interview with Donovan. I guess the family was told this was just a jury question.

I'm likely believe Donovan only slightly more than I'm willing to believe hear friend CMJA.

ETA: "Please come in to the courtroom." If your daughter may or may not be about to hear that she will be executed by the state, you just say, "Naaah, the guy in the hallway said it was just some question from those jury people." There's no good way to frame this.

Well SA has made sure to get the word out that she was in fact in the area and close-by, but she claims that the court rep told her it was a jury question and the jury would not even be brought into the courtroom. So she claims she didn't know she was supposed to be there.

I kind of believe her because she has been there every day, so why would she choose that day not to be there?

[not directed at aa, just rhetorical]

While that might be true (who knows?), it still begs the question, why would the family take any chances and be on pins and needles, needing to know anything that goes on with the jury/court while their daughter is awaiting a verdict in a death penalty trial?

Why was everyone else there? Does the defendant's family really have one single point of contact during this time? No call from Nurmi, Wilmott, Mitigation Specialist? Really?!?

I have doubts.

She sounds like JA to me, 'not my fault, someone else didn't give me the right info'.

I have a question... what do you peeps think about it's family not being there yesterday?

That they have zero excuse for being absent.
I don't care if they were around the corner or at the bottom of the Grand Canyon on mules, should have been there.
They claim they thought it was just a question, not a verdict, so they did not rush over. Seems like they are the only ones.
All court reps. were there, all TA's family, all media, all observers & the devil herself, of course. Even WE were all there (electronically).
If that was my child I would not be more than 10 minutes away from that courtroom at any time.
I repeat, ZERO excuse for not being there.
