I keep waiting, getting nothing done today. I'm going to now go get all gussied up to celebrate justice tonight! I believe we will have a verdict soon after their Lunch hour.
And that verdict will be premeditated murder! I don't see how there can be any other verdict!

Per HLN -- Lunch for jury is NOT paid for by courts.. jurors have to pay themselves.

Anytime I was seated for jury duty, all meals were our expense, not the county, not the state. Considering the tiny bit of jury duty pay we received, its no joke that we were all in the hole when it was over....the gas, the parking fees, the meals, the loss of regular wages. And STILL, I smile when I see a Summons for Jury Duty

Morning All, rushed in early to grab a seat so that I could be amongst friends as we wait for the verdict to come in.

Seems like Juan is expecting a quick verdict. He told KCL to be at the courthouse today for that reason. We will see.

Sounds so good!

...Unless there is a verdict today in which case it's burned pasta/sauce or take-out, loved ones can take their pick. :floorlaugh:

Sounds like it was 15 min after they returned to the jury room, hence the confusion over how long they actually deliberated.

:seeya: Rose! I know what you mean about the diet coke. But if you have any lemon or lime juice around, a squirt or splash in any diet soda really helps tone down the aftertaste. :moo:

While we're bored, waiting, and babbling, I will say that my house has never been cleaner. In trying to work out my nervous energy over the weekend, I have successfully made up for the lack of cleaning in the past four months. I'm so proud of myself!

I don't think it would be so bad if we knew it was coming today. But we have no clue how long we'll have to wait. I can't take anything more than a day!

I know what you mean, I like timelines! If I know when something is going to happen, then I can plan something else to do in the meantime - it's the not knowing that drives me crazy. :banghead:

I have work to do for my business so I am going to make an attempt now to do that, especially since the jury is going to lunch in a few minutes.

So are they really at lunch? Are they deliberating while eating? That's what we did on the murder trial where I was a juror. If not, why is HLN still running the clock?

OT: There is a God! My daughter was in a head on collision this am traveling at 70 mph on the interstate when a vehicle crossed the median. All persons involved were wearing seat belts (6 persons in the other vehicle and just my daughter in hers, as she was on her way home from the night shift as a nurse). So far she is ok, we will see what tomorrow holds. Rough morning here. Thanks
