I think I am not the one twisting things here. Please go read the "Crimes Against Children" forum. It is full of stories about adults who had fantasies about having sex with children.

You will see how "harmless" it is. These children are destroyed!!!! And those are the ones that are lucky enough to live!

Seeing the Deanna/Travis pictures it makes me so sad that his life didn't turn out the way it should have, married to her and with children. I feel like they were probably always circling around each other and were just one of those inevitable couples and Jodi stripped them of that future. Not to mention how different it would all have been, if they had gotten together and he'd never met Jodi. So sad.

I don't think JA had anything to do with TA/Deanna not getting married. Linda Ballard Boss was on Nancy Grace and she said Travis bought a ring for her and she broke up with him before he could give it to her because she did not like his PPL job. Gossip??

Well, I feel I can make a judgement call on what Travis said because I heard it. It was a harmless, sexual phone call between two consenting adults (one of whom didn't know he was being recorded) and in no way, shape, or form means there was anything wrong with Travis sexually. He was just a guy who wanted some sex and might have been giving roleplay a whirl during his and Jodi's sexual relationship; it's no big deal.

It's about context for me. Two adults have some sexy chat? who cares, doesn't even get my hackles up at all. A stranger making a comment like that in public - yeah, I'm gonna think "what a sick f--"

I don't think that was an issue with TA, because he had asked two other women to marry him (or bought two engagement rings). He just, for some reason, didn't want to marry Deanna. Sorry if I sound sour, I just LOVE her. I would adore her as a daughter-in-law. If I had a son, lol!

He may have even gone through with a marriage if one of them had said yes. I don't get any personal satisfaction out of the thought of her being treated especially harshly by Sheriff Joe, so the :floorlaugh: is lost on me. But even if I did, I don't think she is. She's drawing, selling the drawings, talking on the phone pretty much when she wants, winning turkey dinners at singing competitions and tweeting vicariously with impunity. Seems like Sheriff Joe's not treating her too shabbily. Plus, she probably gets to wear pink a lot of the time.

Can we just put things into perspective a bit here? TA sounded like a teenager in those tapes. He was trying to impress her with stooopid jazzed fantasies that she had most likely fed him. I do not know if my post insinuated I felt he was in charge, though I do believe that phone sex often goes the way that call did: One person acting dominant and the other acting submissive, usually regardless of how they are with each other otherwise.

I do know one thing though: Nowhere in my post did I even hint that I believed Travis deserved to die, or that she killed him because he made a stupid comment. I don't believe that any more than anyone else with a functioning brain believes it. She killed him because she couldn't have him, and if she couldn't have him, she wanted to make sure no one else could.

For those with time and worry, I'd recommend listening to Tricia's show from Sunday where Chris Hughes talks for nearly 3 hours about his relationship with Travis and many unspoken aspects of this case. Or just ff to the end where he gives a "What Would Travis Say" speech of sorts which is very inspiring. If you're worried, it will make you feel better I feel sure.
