VERDICT WATCH - Sentencing of Jodi Arias - Retrial Day 45

What possible reason could the judge have had for prolonging this an additional day, then dragging it out an hour or so longer? The alternates had to be there - why? Could they have changed the outcome by their presence? This is just cruel. IMO, JMO, MOO

WTG jury. WTG. However...if I felt strongly about something I would not budge either so....in a way I get this and would do the same thing. I feel strongly for death. No one could convince me otherwise.

Could you STOP just for awhile? Just stop!!!! This judge has waffled from the beginning. We all saw it. This isn't the jury's fault. This is all on JSS. And who are YOU to say what it should have been in the beginning? Just STOP!!!!!!!!!!!

Im sorry? She had nothing to do with the verdict. She laid out the rules, She followed the law she gave them the allen charge. This has nothing to do with the judge. This is because 12 people looked at it all and worked and deliberated and could not find for the dp for her.

just because she has allowed herself to be manipulated doesn't mean she doesn't know how she has been manipulated. I don't see her as being lenient in any way. Especially since Jodi won't even cooperate in the sentencing report. IMO, that's a total dis. Maybe I'm wrong-AZL would know.

Guy on Fox Now states no way JSS will give Life with option of parole, he says no chance, she will get Life no parole, I hope this guy is correct.

I may not like the result, but I still thank the jurors for trying. They didn't just vote and stop talking. Wonder how Jodi really feels knowing some people on both juries wanted her put to death.

Must be some special singing competition or meal coming at the Jail so Jodi wants to stay for that....... and more freedom for calls, visits etc for 30 days. Yep, i blame the judge. she should NOT have agreed. No reason whatsoever to give her ANYTHING at this point. Judge has NO BACKBONE.

JSS did not have anything to do with the verdict. Nothing.

People want to blame everyone but in some cases this is just the right result. LWOP. It is what it should have been in the beginning and then this would all be over and she would have been in PRISON already.

BBM: Respectfully disagree ... the way she managed and handled her courtroom, as well as the continuous bashing and trashing of the VICTIM TRAVIS ALEXANDER, JSS deserves her share of the blame.

What a horribly sad, sad day! I have to wonder if there were jurors here that do not believe in the death penalty; and would have never voted for the death penalty. I also believe that a jury would have sentenced a man to death easier than a "woman".

I feel so much for the Alexander family. She not only killed Travis, but she destroyed him in her courthouse antics and words that can never be removed. I still can't believe some of the things that this judge allowed her to say. So very, very sad. :cry:

Now, I really wish - honestly wish - that EVERYONE would ignore Jody. Do NOT give her ANY more attention. Let her truly suffer now as just a girl locked away for the rest of her miserable life. That will never happen, but I could wish. I can and do wish.

I wish I could hug Travis's family. :cry:

Had Arizona not had a 2nd chance for this phase she would have already been at Perryville for 1.5 years.

It's the law in Arizona and up to the prosecutor. I'm glad there was a re-trial. Jodi hasn't been going to Starbucks this whole time.

Nancy grace just said what I was thinking!!! Why don't you just sentence Jodi now she said "you've had since 2008 to think about this" Nancy also said she blames the hung jury squarely on how the judge ran this case. And I'm sorry I have to agree. JSS allowed this case to be too disjointed.

She allowed the defense team to practically hold the jurors hostage since October 30, 2014. There was absolutely no need for this phase to go on as long as it did. I feel really bad for the Alexander family. I wish them luck in their impending civil suit, so that every nickel and dime the killer manages to earn in prison goes straight to them.
