Well, I'm sure they did. But the problem is that from what I understand a lot of cameras get over written. Some as soon as 24 hours others as soon as a couple of weeks.
At the time MBB went missing no one knew about the LISK so they wouldn't of known to check out that route. And also by the time they did know she was in fact really missing and not just out doing what ever the videos may have been over written by that time.
Can't remember how long after MB was missing before the perp called her sister but that is probably the case with her as well.
 
I believe it was only about a week after MB went missing that her sister started to get calls from the whack job. I think it was only a few weeks after MBB went missing someone tried to access her voice mail. LE waited until 2008 before telling the family. They did ask the family if she ever went to LI. They said no. I think LE could have done more.

They could of done more for all five of them. I think SG bothers me the most because she had left behind an actual 911 call. There was no reason for them not to be out there on OB looking for her within hours of her being reported missing.
Hell, maybe if they did look for her soon they would of found MBB and MB sooner. Leaving the perp on edge and to afraid to do anything to MW and ALC. But I doubt it. I think he has killed sense then, just found him self a new dump site.
It has also always bothered me about her voice mail on long island a week after she was missing. It was obviously not her or she would of gotten into the voice mail.
To me this points to two possibilities. This guy either lives on LI or has a place he stays during the summer. He killed her right away and dumped her. Was later on messing around with her phone. Or he keeps the girls for a little while and well dumping her tried to get into her voice mail.
 
I almost forgot there was nothing LE could do for ALC. She was not reported missing. :( that one is on her friends and family. How noone reported her missing is still bothers me.

How does this ModelMayhem work? Does a girl just create an account, post pictures in hopes that a photographer or modeling agency notices them and contacts them?

I know DS was in the depths of addiction and knew ac was a "drifter" but I never got how he didn't report it. Especially a junky with a large payday coming his way. But when ur a junky, involved in an illegal trade....it's tough to goto the cops. Paranoia sets in, leafing him to use more to hide his guilt. I don't think he really started talking about it until he got clean. DS wherever u are; I hope u are still on the righteous path to sobriety because one day ur gonna get a call from SCPD asking you " have you seen this man?" Hopefully that's the killer of gb4.

Definitely. Often times photographers...or guys with cameras who call themselves photographers will offer time for images to models. If a girl wants images for her portfolio and likes their work, she will go and get pics taken. No one gets paid, they just work together to create images to add to their portfolios. I did it a few times, showed up alone. Thankfully nothing bad happened but now I just can't believe I was so stupid!

I think he was afraid to report her missing. He would have to tell all. I am really surprised her sister did not report her missing. Thats messed up.
 
That is true. Never looked at that way. I suppose with his drug use he didn't want cops around. And maybe she had taken off before or was unpredictable. Scared he would get in trouble for being some what of her pimp or even just known what was going on in his own house.
But, he did call her sister. And that sister did nothing. And when I have seen him in interviews he seems to be the saddest one over ALC death.
 
When the remains were discovered it appeared the victims did not have any clothes. Yet LE found a sneaker and a clear and blue plastic bag. Did anyone recognize what kind of bag it was? I wonder if Meltruth knows if anyone recognized the sneaker? It was shown on 48 hours.

It looks as if we were discussing MBB's sexyjobs post back in April. I don't remember a Model Mayhem connection (although I do remember one in association with "the drifter/friends/?"). I did a quick search of my notes and didn't find anything, but maybe it's in there somewhere... I'm not sure.
