Come on guys and gals, let's make Yuri the winner for several reasons.

!. He is a fine representative of law enforcement.

2. He is so darn handsome

3. Mz Cindy would have to read about his award in the paper and hear it on the news.

Mark the 21st on your calendar.

I'm a little worried that he would have to be available on May 13th and May 21st to participate in events that the winner of the competition has to attend. The first is a Nascar event in either North or South Carolina. The other is in Washington D.C. I guess if he isn't to be called to testify until after those dates... then it is fine. :great: But if he is to be called in the first week or into the next week of the DC trip... I don't know if he is going to be eligible?

I feel confident that AMW will work with the voted hero as he performs his heroic duties in securing justice. They may just have to have a special parade in Orlando for him! Wow! Wouldn't that be great! JB and KC have been talking about celebrity and here right at the precipice of the trial, one emerges! Not the one they had hoped for, but one nonetheless! YM can bask in the glory of all that he has done and AMW can shine the spotlight on him right as the trial begins! I'm betting that the detective that is touted by JW and AMW as an American hero will come across as more of a celebrity to the jury than an alleged baby killer and her Red Bull guzzling attorney. JMO and LOL!

This makes me soooo happy!!
Congrats, Yuri!!
We're here with you every step of the way.

omgoshhhhh! he made it into the top 8!!!!

we gotta vote like we've never voted before!

Yay! :great: I just checked my email to find this! Detective Yuri Melich so deserves this, In ALL of our honest opinions;)

AMW All-Star Update

You have chosen a detective from the Orange County Sheriff's Office in Orlando, Florida, whose investigative skills solve cases quickly as this week's finalist in the 2011 America's Most Wanted All-Star Contest, sponsored by Sprint.

In 2001, Detective Corporal Yuri Melich's desire to learn as much as he could by working a wider variety of criminal cases inspired him to transfer from a small Florida police department to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, a department made up of more than 1500 deputies.

While working in homicide, Corporal Melich was lead detective on more than 21 criminal investigations. In 2007, Yuri was assigned three separate homicide cases within a 12-hour time span, and he was awarded Sheriff's Certificate for successfully closing all three within two weeks. One case centered on an execution shooting with no witnesses which Corporal Melich was able to tie to two earlier killings; solving both serial shooting cases through in-depth investigation and monitoring phone calls and jail correspondences. Yuri says he's most proud of the work he did as a homicide detective, because taking a killer off the street is one of the "greatest feelings in the world."

Yuri volunteers to work with the Motors Unit every month, where he provides relief to motorcycle patrol officers. Just last February, Corporeal Melich was awarded a Certificate of Commendation for his actions when helped to pull the victim out of a car whose vehicle had flipped upside down in a water-filled ditch.

Detective Melich is the last of eight weekly finalist chosen by you in this year's AMW All-Star Contest. I get text messages from myfoxorlando whenever there's breaking news in the story. They just sent a text stating, "Yuri Melich is a finalist .....more at www.caseyanthonymurdertrial.com." Of course, I already knew Yuri was a finalist ... but I'm hoping there are tens of thousands of people on their text list! Go Yuri!! :great:

The best part of this is you know it just burns CA and ICA up!!!!!!

He deserves it. He spent every day on the side of the road on Suburban Drive, most of them on his hands and knees digging, until they found everything there was to find.

He's just going to have to take a personal day or two and go get his reward.

Lets all make an effort to let everyone know to vote tomorrow for Yuri tomorrow

It is after midnight and is now the 21st. I just tried to vote and cannot see that option yet.

Guess I will go back later!
