I don't understand why someone would choose their house to break into. It looked no different from the other houses on that street MOO. Also, wouldn't someone breaking in have seen their car in the driveway or carport ?

I wonder what the person who broke in was actually looking for ? MOO

We have no real way of knowing whether or not this was just another break in gone bad. They could of been targeted. Especially if they really were buried under that house off Route 15 - if this was random, why go through all the work of going into a basement and burying the bodies.

http://www.burlingtonfreepress.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2011110611004 ...regarding LE's removal of the dumpster next to where the car was found, the reporter carefully included an important fact in this earlier article without commenting on it:

"Saturday, residents of the apartments said police removed the Dumpster late Friday night. [snip] Paula Huckleberry, another resident, said she didn’t pay any particular notice when she took some trash to the Dumpster about mid-morning Friday. Not long after, she said, she heard the complex’s trash hauler come and empty the receptacle. (my bold)

In other words, if the couple is deceased and their bodies were in the dumpster, they were hauled away before LE took the dumpster.

I've been waiting for a landfill search ever since the above article was published.

A year later, search continues for Vermont couple

A year after Bill and Loraine Currier disappeared from their Essex home, the search for a resolution to their case continues.

[snip]

Essex Police Chief Brad LaRose declined to give any specifics about the case, but it remains a top priority for his department. The FBI is known to be involved and he referred questions to federal prosecutors.

I'm so glad to see some resolution for this couple. I'm at work and not able to do video's... hopefully someone will watch and re-cap for us?

Wow...stunning,if it's true...

OMG.............I am so stunned. Have they been found?

So the remains of this couple were not found ?

I don't think they have been found. I roughly checked dates but the search of the empty lot may coincide around the time Keyes was interrogated for Sam's murder. IMO that would make sense.

According to WCAX in Burlington, VT Keyes told authorities where they could find the bodies of the couple, while he was questioned regarding Samantha Koenig's disappearance and murder in Anchorage while in custody.

Authorities in Vermont called off the search with no remains discovered, but Keyes was said to have been positively identified as being in the area at the time of the couple's disappearance.

"The investigation has developed significant information that William and Lorraine Currier were abducted from their home and murdered shortly thereafter in June 2011. The person believed to have committed the murders is in custody in another state and will remain in custody. No charges have yet been brought against this person for the Curriers' murders, but charges are anticipated," said Tristram Coffin, the U.S. Attorney for Vermont.

"Their murders were a random act of violence that occurred in our community. There is nothing the Curriers did in their personal lives that contributed to their deaths," Chittenden County Prosecutor T.J. Donovan said.

and, if true, Vermont and Alaska....how many other victims and where, because the entire continental US is in between virtually. Wasn't he arrested in Texas, IIRC, too? No way these are his only abductions. JMO.

According to Donovan’s motion filed Thursday, the targets of the 16 search warrants filed spanned an array of subjects including the Curriers’ home and car, and email accounts belonging to Bill Currier.

The most recent search warrant, filed with the court Dec. 27, 2011, was for a “controlled phone call,” six months after the couple’s disappearance.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Samantha Koenig kidnapping & murder. Keyes contacted Samantha Koenig's Father and demanded a ransom for her safe return.

  • Six months after the Currier's disappearance is December 8, 2011.

  • Samantha Koenig was kidnapped February 1, 2012
Thoughts on what LE means by a controlled phone call?
