Wouldn't a culvert on a road where there is no pedestrian traffic be an ideal location to hide a body?
She wasnt found quickly, though, i think she was found a week later and only then by a search party. People dont walk a lot in that area and even if they did, the culvert goes underneath the road, so you dont see it from above unless you walk beyond the road over to it.. Seattle and portland are known for its hikers, so people would be more likely to find someone in the woods than a culvert. Also, there appears to be a drive in area to the culvert that is hidden from you from the public. The culvert has water, which in my mind would wash away dna quicker than air (does anyone know about that?). All the other stuff you questioned are very good thoughts..i think the fact the police asked people.to.come forward with any info for that week says they believe she passed sometime during that week...or maybe theyre trying to piece together a timeline to help their case against the suspect when they catch him. If someone could post the photo that was posted earlier in thread 1 of that area that may be helpful so people know what im saying. Or an overhead view of rhe area or video or something? When i go on walks i dont generally go look in ditches where drainage pipes are on the side of the road. Is there even a sidewalk in that area? There didnt really appear to be from what i saw.Today I'm wondering - why the culvert? Why would the perp bring her body there, at an intersection that is very busy during the day? Did he want her to be found quickly?
Locals have said (here on WS) that there are so many wooded areas equally close by, so why not hide her there somewhere? For a murderer, it's much better the longer the body is not found, best if it's never found, right? So, the culvert surely was a poor choice. Was he desperate to get rid of her? Couldn't drive anywhere else? Was in a hurry? Maybe passing that intersection on his way to and from work, so quickly unloaded her (assuming he transferred her into his own car)? Or someone else was gonna use his car in an hour so she had to be gotten rid of quickly?
The culvert is just such a weird and stupid choice. Makes me think the murder (assuming she was murdered indeed) was not preplanned at all.
And what if Cheryl was victim of a hit on her?
Without breaking TOS what fb group are you referring to?

Whats tos? Im new here. Someone else mentioned it a few posts ago...
Yes, TOS is terms of service. this website has some very specific rules and are pretty heavy handed on moderation so I was trying to not push my luck. When you have a ton of traffic on message boards it's good to have some solid rules to keep everyone on track.

Thank you for your opinion.
Just wanted to clarify when I said she was found quickly, I meant in comparison to many of the other cases here on Ws where it sometimes tales weeks or months, even years until the person is found in a remote area - and just skeletal remains that don't tell much of a story anymore.
Interesting. I don't see any groups or pages with that name.

So if you attacked her at the bus place where she parked, would you risk being seen by someone putting her body in your car? Thats even more risky than what you mentioned

That's why I wouldn't do that. I would lure her into my car. Even with a lot of people around that is not that hard to do.
(Disclaimer: I would never personally do this. Writing it in the first person is keeping it clearer for me).
