What could be causing so many delays? My knowledge of the court system is not really existent.

However, Kimmie's dad posted on FB that it is unlikely to actually happen until sometime in August. Apparently, there is some sort of internal investigation being conducted on the lead detective for the case that is delaying things (My only citation for this is the post from Cecil 1/27/13 @ 521pm).

I just hope this internal investigation doesn't jeopardize the case itself. :please:

I'm not yet convinced that it will actually go to trial in September.

I'm guessing if the 8/23 hearing is continued it'll be scheduled for 8/30.
If THAT gets continued I'm guessing it'll push the trial back, again. :banghead:

Yes continued yet again. This makes 36 continuences since his arrest and now over 3 years and still waiting to get this to trial. :( Kimmie will get her justice, that I promise.
