$10,000 reward offered for information in search for Washington woman and her dog missing since September
Laynee Westbrook, 41, was seen on security video at 7:11 p.m. on September 10, 2020, getting into a white Dodge Ram truck with a man outside of the San Juan Motel in Anacortes, Washington, where she had been staying. She was seen again with the same man at 7:30 p.m. at the Chevron gas station next to the Swinomish Lodge & Casino. No one has seen her since. She hasn’t used her cell phone and there has been no activity on her bank account. Her beloved dog, a rat terrier named Precious, is also missing. The Anacortes Police Department is investigating.

[Laynee's] sister-in-law Emily told Dateline that the man stated that he had picked her up and they went to a nearby campground where he had been staying. He reportedly then dropped Laynee off between 2 and 3 a.m. at Causland Memorial Park, which is about two blocks from the motel.

On September 13, Laynee’s mother, Barb, got a call from the motel. They were trying to reach Laynee because she hadn’t paid rent and no one had seen or heard from her in several days.

“It dawned on Barb that she hadn’t talked to her in a few days, so she started to panic,” Emily said. “She called her, and we all called her, but no one could get a hold of her.”

Laynee’s mother reported her missing to the Anacortes Police Department.

“Campers who were at the campground the night she went missing had called the ranger to report two people arguing over a missing dog,” Emily said. “Something happened that night. She’s missing. Her dog is missing. She never made it back to the motel.”

There has been no activity on Laynee’s cell phone or her bank account since she used her debit card on the day she was last seen.

From the Justice for Laynee FB page - VERY INTERESTING comment
I went missing on September 10th 2020. I was last seen at the Chevron gas station at the Swinomish Casino with Jeff Heins in his white two tone Dodge 1500 pick up truck. According to Jeff we went to his campground location at 1000 Trails site 307 where we had drinks and hung out until about 3:15 am 9/11/2020 then Jeff claims he dropped me off at Causland Park in Anacortes around 3:36 am. I have not been seen or heard from since. My last debit card transaction was at the Swinomish gas station the day before with Jeff Hein where I was seen leaving with Jeff and my dog Precious. My friends and family are offering a $10,000 reward for any information leading to my whereabouts! PLEASE HELP ME! I am begging for you to give my loved ones the information they need to bring me home. I miss my family and they miss me. If you have ANY information, please call 1 (360) 299-1985 or message on this page. I appreciate your help in bringing me home

Laynee's name is pronounced Lah-ney. Like neigh sorta. I didn't know that! Been saying/thinking it Lay-nee this whole time. Just thought I'd let you all know.

I messaged the page for Laynee and invited them to come be a verified insider here and they said they will check Websleuths out, so I hope they do join us and provide more info on Laynee. Hopefully we can give them some fresh ideas and perspective regarding the case.

I've joined and appreciate seeing all the care and concern! I will add an update soon or people can ask questions and I will reply (typically in the evening). One new detail, her phone was ringing (with no answer) around 9:30pm on the 10th and eventually stopped syncing to Google at 8:30am on the 11th...

Well hello! A big welcome to you! Thanks so much for joining us here. I hope we can be helpful in one way or another!

Here's the post regarding becoming a verified insider on Websleuths. We know you're legitimate, however we have this policy so that people can't pop up into cases and claim insider info that isn't true, and potentially harm the case, the missing person, or the person's family and friends. It's quick and easy, from what I have heard! :)

I wanted to ask - have the police extensively interviewed the "acquaintance" she was last seen with after they took down his supposed story of what happened, that he dropped her off at the park? That just makes no sense because the motel was RIGHT there, why wouldn't you drive a couple more blocks...

He claims he dropped her off there so the dog could potty before returning to the motel and also because that was their "routine." Jeff did not want be seen at the motel by Laynee's boyfriend who stayed with Laynee at the motel. That boyfriend left for Alaska that morning though and that has been confirmed by police. The police are very quiet about who they have interviewed and how many times so I can not accurately answer you question regarding that. Wish I could...

Does Jeff have a verified alibi for the time frame after he “dropped Laynee off” somehow I doubt it…

Hey everyone, JusticeForLaynee has now been verified as a case insider in this discussion.

JusticeForLaynee does not have to provide links to support what they state as fact in relation to Laynee's case. Please be respectful to our VI at all times, and do not argue with them or challenge them in any way. If you disagree with something a VI has to contribute, please just scroll and roll rather than bicker with them.

Thank You JusticeForLaynee and all others who are here to discuss this case and hopefully help find out what has happened to Laynee and her dog, Precious.

Laynee is still missing.
Recent post saying "please join us at Causland Park in Anacortes on March 10th at 6pm to remember her and keep her story alive. Someone knows something! She didn't disappear on purpose! #whereislaynee "

Laynee's case is on the Charley Project now.
Laynee Danielle Westbrook – The Charley Project

Nothing new here that hasn't been in previous posts that I can tell, but being on the Charley Project exposes her case to those who didn't know about it before. Like me.
Thanks @JnRyan - I follow many of the same cases you do & appreciate TCP links

Details of Disappearance
Westbrook was seen on security camera footage outside the San Juan Motel in Anacortes, Washington at 7:11 p.m. on September 10, 2020. The cameras filmed her getting into a white single-cab Dodge Ram pickup truck with a man she knew. She had been staying at the motel since July and worked at a local Safeway.

At 7:30 p.m., Westbrook was spotted with the same man at the Chevron gas station next to Swinomish Lodge & Casino; this was the last confirmed sighting of her.

The man claims he picked her up and they wento a nearby campground where he had been staying. He said he last saw her between 2:00 and 3:00 a.m., when he dropped hero ff at Causland Memorial Park. This is about two blocks from the San Juan Motel.

She has never been heard from again and her dog, a black, white and tan rat terrier named Precious with a stub tail, disappeared with her. A photo of Precious is posted with this case summary. Other people who were at the campground on the night Westbrook disappeared had called the park ranger to report two people arguing about a missing dog.

Since Westbrook's disappearance, there has been no activity on her bank account, cellular phone or debit card. It's uncharacteristic of her to leave without warning or to miss work. Her case remains unsolved.

It’s been two years since Laynee Westbrook disappeared from Anacortes, and her family is still fighting to find her.
“We're not giving up,” said Emily Pepper, Westbrook’s sister-in-law. “We're not going to stop, and she deserves it.”

Westbrook's family has been fighting for answers since she disappeared, sifting through tips, leading search parties and now hoping for answers.

“It's just waiting now and waiting for someone to be brave enough to say something and hoping that they do,” said Pepper.
Westbrook went missing on Sept. 10, 2020. According to her family, Westbrook and her beloved dog Precious were seen on security video at 7:11 p.m. leaving the San Juan Motel in Anacortes, where she had been living. Her family said she left with a man she knew. Westbrook was spotted at 7:30 p.m. at the Chevron gas station next to Swinomish Casino with the same man.

“I absolutely believe she did not disappear on purpose," explained Pepper. "She's not on vacation. She has not used her cell phone or bank card since the night she went missing and she would not do this to her family."
