I am curious Del Rio hunted his blind several times. He even mentioned his own shell casings that were left behind, that LE also failed to collect.

Del Rio, in the several times you hunted did you ever see any other empty casings not of the type of shell that you used? If you did that would indicate to me that someone else knew of the blind.

As an open question why would LE not pick up casings that Del Rio Left behind?

No, I don't recall seeing any. But most duck hunters are more conscientious about picking up their spent shells than I was.

I would like to hear other people's theories on what happened to MC. We seem to get a little more information every day and today got a lot from del rio.
Who are the main POI? WC, JF, ex bf, guy from Tacoma???

Just wanted to suggest that the 'guy from Tacoma' may actually be from a smaller town ~ Orting, WA. Based on his friends and a group/page he belongs too. Orting is a small town and one may select Tacoma as a FB location to be more general.

IMO, i think LE came out with that so quickly because they had a poi or something pointing them in the direction of who did it and since it was someone close to her, i don't think they wanted the public to panic that a rapist was on the loose.

Perhaps the autopsy revealed an absence of semen. But semen isn't always present in a sexual attack.

That is very true, but there would be bruising and possibly other bodily trauma if there was a sexual assault.

Thanks James - I found him. His conviction was for communication with a minor for immoral purposes. Still interesting that he lives so close to where Mackenzie's car was found or at least that's what the Family Watchdog says - 3700 block of Squilchuck - which is pretty close right?

I can imagine that many folks in Wenatchee are losing sleep over this case. It is awful to know there is someone running loose in your community that has murdered another person.

It would be nice to see LE arrest someone. I'm sure the FBI Profilers managed to come up with a pretty good idea of the type of person LE should be looking for. It seems there were lots of clues to personality type - even if there were not lots of clues to the actual culprit.

I can honestly say that the info we got today has totally thrown me for a loop and I am back at square one.

Women do hunt, but not as frequently as men. I am leaning farther away from it being a female, not saying that I had an exact female POI.

The problem is that the killer wouldn't even have to be a hunter. If he had someone help him it could have been them who knew about this place. How the heck are we going to figure out who helped if we can't even nail down a few solid POI(s)? So frustrating.

Photos # 1, 2 and 5.

Photo 1 is the best one. I sat on the slope, and my feet would have been right where the white evidence marker is. The brushy bullwork was right in front of me, and it extended across the opening to the bushes. A couple feet to the right of the photo is the stream.

Photo 2 is to the left of #1. It is at the far left end of the duck blind.

you seem to know alot of information del rio. did the autopsy report come out yet?

I'm not del rio but the autopsy was performed on 2/16 and on the following day the Douglas County Prosecutor/Coroner stated that "the autopsy report will not be made public until after a suspect has been identified and charged".

I am losing sleep and frankly just becoming too obsessed with this case. It is one of the oddest set of circumstances I have ever heard of, plus its just very very VERY frustrating that we haven't gotten much information from LE!!! aaagghhhh! :rant:

Yes, I do. I think LE has far more damning info and evidence against the killers than what I posted or know. LE may have more pressing matters to attend to in the investigation. They could always come back to me later, if necessary. They might not be able to put off other things like they can with me.

That's some VERY interesting info!! Perhaps that's how the killer knew of it...and it wouldn't be hard to figure out that no one has since bought/rented it. Yes, I know...I'm probably stating the obvious here. But thanks for that info!

Sorryy I'm typing on my phone. But I was shocked when I heard they didn't collect spent shell casings. For one they had no idea who they belonged to regardless of how long they were there they would have collected them. Even if they didn't think she was shot. It could have been evidence of the killer being there prior to the murder. Very very shoddy police work. My faith in them has plunged. Sorry just my oinion

Trying to catch up with everything on WS while still going about daily life . . .

A couple of observations: Regarding the comments about JF's estranged wife saying that he wasn't capable of doing something like this (or words to that effect) - If you were SF, would you risk saying anything to the contrary? If she had any kind of feeling at all that he could possibly be a killer she certainly wouldn't take a chance of "outing" him for fear of retaliation. I'm in no way saying he should be the POI, I'm just saying that we can't rely on statements of a soon-to-be-ex who could very well be fearful. It has been mentioned on here that he possibly has a bad temper and is not nice to women.

Second - MOO - I spoke to a young adult recently, just to see what the teens and young adults are saying. I asked if it is thought that it could possibly be drug related and the comment was "well yeah, of course", like it should be common knowledge. I asked this person if s/he knew MC personally and the answer was no, but s/he knew "of her" and that her car was well known downtown. The term "she was a plastic" was used. (Anyone have insight on that?)

This is speculation ONLY - and I'm not passing this along to ruin the reputation of this poor girl, nor am I insinuating in any way that she was a bad person. Nobody deserved what happened to her! I'm just letting you know what some of the "young crowd" is saying. Drugs are much more prevalent than many people in our small town can even imagine. We tend to bury our heads in the sand when it makes us uncomfortable.

Also, MOO, if LE is watching WC's house it is probably for protection.

Makesmewonder, LE and/or FBI were at speck house friday night, the night before MC's body was found- it is more than rumor. The neighbor that saw it and told me.

I have been hesitant to post this, but if it helps, someone that was in the speck house the weekend MC's body was found, told me he/she saw 'something', and did report it to the LE (he/she is VERY UPSET over it). However, he/she would not confirm what he/she saw, out of respect of the investigation. I would not pressure her.

I need to know something, what color/kind of truck is JF driving? It's not grey is it? Definitely a large model of some sort?
