Nice, but Uh-Oh?

@MsMarple
74°F likely sounds fabulous to some folks here.

You may regret ;) posting your location & 74°F temp. if multitudes of sleuthers sweltering in other states show up w overnight bags on your doorstep.
Trust me, anyone here that made that comment before last week regrets it. It was almost 100 a couple of days and hasn’t gone below 87 since lol we are not built for this heat here

Is anyone able to provide some information on the FBI agent’s statement? That website links to it but I’m from the U.K and cannot access it! Thanks
It’s not a link to a statement but to a khq.com news article from July 10, where it says I the beginning:

“PULLMAN, Wash - The man who found Aaron Aung and his two-year-old daughter, Seraya Aung, in Mexico spoke exclusively to NonStop Local’s John Webb on Wednesday.

The FBI corroborated that Martin Ceballos was the man who reported the missing girl to Mexican authorities.

(bolder by me)

A few interesting things I noticed… in the Aung family statement the grandparents referred to Seraya as Seraya Aung. The Harmon family called her Seraya Aung-Harmon, as did most msm.

Also, the Harmon family statement noted that it is only Aaron who’s involved in Seraya’s abduction, leaving out any references to NC.

So maybe the Harmon family has better representation or maybe their main interest is answering the Aung’s accusations. Or maybe both.

In any case if their description of the condition Seraya was found in is accurate, including her having an untreated ear infection, living in the car in terrible heat, inadequate food, etc. then Aaron should not be allowed unsupervised visits with her for a very long time.

I’m sure LE and the FBI will sort out the truth but right now I’m 100% on Seraya’s and her mom’s side. Dad needs some jail time.

I don’t think he should ever be allowed unsupervised visitation regardless, after what he pulled. IMO

Even though he had no money, no food, likely no fuel, no AC, he didn't turn himself in. What was his end game? Get a job? Leave her alone in the car while he made money? In Mexico? In the heat?

Were they bathing at all? Public restrooms?

Diapers? I doubt it. Or stretch the supply? That poor child.

That's neglect, that's abuse.

JMO

Totally agree. And NC should not be allowed anywhere near that child.
my gut feeling is that Nadia will probably never have anything to do with Aaron ever again, that relationship is probably done and dusted I'm thinking. Purely MOO. I think she will probably be cringing at herself right now and distancing herself from that whole entire mess, for both legal and reputational reasons. JMO. I don't really see them as star crossed lovers who'll do anything to stay together? IMO

I would, personally, be disappointed if she does do anything but totally separate herself from the whole thing, tbh

It's interesting how the Harmon family made sure to point out in their statement that only the father was responsible for the kidnapping. I'm thinking they must be trying to get Nadia on their side so that Nadia can help them prosecute Aaron. Otherwise, why else would they let Nadia get away with all of this?

Well to be fair, Nadia never would have met this child in her life had she not met Aaron. Plus he clearly had the child before Nadia joined him. Nadia was at best, along for the ride, and at worst a victim of coercive control. With that said, I'm not willing to call her another of Aaron's victims without more info, and that's info we may never get.

I never bought into non-violent coercive control without actual leverage like finances, drugs, or children. He had no financial leverage, and she didn't have children with this man. She had a choice in the airport to fly off to Europe with her parents or ditch them and participate in a international felony. She made the choice, and she needs to own it.

Aaron picked Seraya up on 5/29, Nadia also went “missing” 5/29. Do we know for sure he already had Seraya before she ditched her family at the airport?
