I remember when he said that and could only think he thought LE was behind him and had a good laugh. Made him look guilty to me.

IA I think drug use, and sales were quite common in their world. It was clear to me that he was lying when Geraldo was asking him about his drug past. I think drugs were a very large part of the day to day activities with Ron and Misty.

I am still not convinced that a Mexican drug lord/cartel took Haleigh for payment, although at this point anything is possible. I also don't believe that the pot plants at the Mondex had anything to do with Haleigh.

Geraldo told Ron, that Chad ....and IIRC Marcus ... said that he(Ron) had bricks of weed and was growing, but honestly I don't put much stock into anything, ANY of them say.

I do believe that Ron was selling/taking drugs..... when Haleigh vanished, long before she vanished, and has/had been doing so ... since she vanished.... well till he got caught anyway.

I have heard that court (custody) records show he was on the straight and narrow, when he was awarded custody, but I don't buy it. I think that this may be why he made such a point to say that he was at work, and that he seemed to want everyone to understand that he was making "an honest living".

To be perfectly honest I'm not convinced LE in Putnam County is dedicated to bringing those responsible for whatever it is/was that happened to Haleigh to justice.. And also believe they have played as big a part in weaving a web of confusion and deception as the main players in this case have done for over a year now...IMHO..Putnam County is in desperate need of a Buford Pusser... They need someone down there who would kick a$$ first and take names later...Thats my story and I'm sticking to it, that is until they prove otherwise.JMO

IMO I think they let the players go ahead and play and played along with them. Gave them enough rope to hang themselves. They also put Ron and Misty in jail where they want them and if all goes well they will get 25 yrs and that gives them a lot of time to work on what happened to Haleigh. LE wants a good solid case when it comes to prosecuting whoever is responsible for whatever happened to Haleigh.

Junior most definitely would have had plenty of stories for the specialists that interviewed him soon after arriving at 202 that early morning.

No doubt in my mind that Gram Sykes and Teresa over the years have taken care of business when it comes to Ron. I find it interesting that neither have any interest in Amber's child. What's up with that?

I'm not even sure I'd care if he had a small amount of marijuana plants. The prescription drugs are really a nightmare, I wish more people would avoid. Everyone who knew RC agrees that he loved his daughter and provided for her, though he was a miserable person himself. I think most of the clues point toward MC and her family.:twocents:

I don't think the Cummings clan are interested in Jordan. He has severe disabilities and they must have distanced themselves from him. Remember, rc would have a financial liability with the child. In case, we have forgotten, rc doesn't do financial responsibility. IMO, that is why he took Haleigh and jr....to avoid paying support. Crystal would have had the upper hand...and rc couldn't have that, now could he?

Somebody just posted that rc may have been clean during the custody thing....nope!
rc had just got penalized for a drug offense the previous March and picked up a new drug charge during the custody challange. I think the poster who mentioned rc's words the morning of the crime was 100% on the money. RC was stressing how he was "out, making an honest living and trying to make a decent wage" was rc's plea and cover for what he normally does....such as making a dishonest living. RC had only had the job a very short time. My opinion is the GMA Sykes most likely raised the kids and rc was just getting a chance of doing it on his own because he finally got a real job.

I think many more problelms started when Haleigh had to enter the school system. It was way too much for rc.

Florida law dictates to my knowledge that Haleigh wasn't required to attend school till first grade. IMO in order to make Misty's life easier, Ron opted to enroll Haleigh in pre first grade. Fatal Mistake... the walls came tumbling down after that decision.

I think the view may be that if the pot is in pots crazy, it's very likely that it was originally grown elsewhere (inside somewhere...), then transported there -otherwise why not just simply plant it right into the ground/soil there.

This makes sense to me. If you want to grow pot outdoors you probably wouldn't like to put it in pots because that would attract the attention of casual passersby. If you're not familiar with marihuana you may walk straight past a number of pot plants thinking they're just another uninteresting plant but if you come across a number of plants in pots in a place where you wouldn't expect to see potted plants because it's not anybody's garden or a public decoration, you'll take notice and start to wonder.

When his daughter went missing he hangs up on 911 and couldn't care less about talking to the proper authorities but whenever somebody says something bad about him, he wants to involve the proper authorities. :waitasec:

If his Grandma has custody and threatened to or actually did whoop Misty and her SIL for just making a MS threat to take him, then they probably don't even want to tangle with her.

Also: I am still wondering about hydroponic pot growing. I've read that it brings in much more money and is the way to grow it for profit, but don't know much about it. Surely the trailer would have shown signs of any pot growing though regardless of the method.
