I gotta tell you Dr. Nick, that hypnotic box thing you have there really disturbs my old lady eyes.

ONE reason I have siggys turned OFF. Some are too long/take up an entire page and some are disturbing. Turn them off in User CP.

a few thoughts-If Juan has 16 witnesses, maybe he will only ask a few questions of each then JW can only rebut those few, meaning none will be on the stand long Thank God

I wish DD would give an interview about her experience in this trail, but I am thinking she might find it unprofessional.

I do think we will have a verdict at the end of April..

i went on there once and it was so traumatizing ive never went back.:floorlaugh:

I think I'm banned from the site. I went there once to check out the crazies who resided there. I tried to post a comment saying JA would (hopefully) soon be on death row. Not only does the truth hurt, but JA fans don't like to hear the truth; hence the reason they've become her fan.

Can you just imagine standing in that house, with all that blood and TA's dead body and trying to process that? I do not know if JA is able to feel panic (maybe so, since it is about herself), but she must have been frantic.

Stuffing TA into that tiny shower, trying to clean up, remember everything, and get out of the house before getting caught. I hope the horror of those few moments haunt her for the rest of her miserable life. I do not think she was bothered by killing TA but I hope that she remembers scrambling like a hunted rat to save her own skin forever.

I thi k she was every bit as cool, calm and cold as she was in the detective interview. She probably was singing or humming as she staged the scene and removed evidence. That's one psychopathic witch that won't feel fear until they're strapping her down for the needle.

I think that JA's ultimate humiliation was when she had to uhaul her azz out of Arizona. She was forced (by circumstances) to ask her family for emotional and financial help and spent a night sleeping in that uhaul (after she'd rejected her mother's help) all because of TA (in her mind). I think that night, is when she hatched her plan and she never looked back. For me, that was the turning moment for her; she couldn't idolize anymore and she went into "discard" mode.

What was the date she actually left AZ?
I was in April 08 right?

I agree with you.

What do you think her true motive was?

Everyone has opinions but we will never know for sure but my guess would be 1) whatever Travis had on her that he was going to tell everyone including her parents. It may have to do with money she stole or blackmail against him or something totally different and worse but whatever it was it was enough to push her to kill him, but, I believe that even before that the decision had already been made in Feb, 2008 when Travis told her that he felt God told him he was going to marry Mimi. JA just was not going to let that happen ever. I believe she acted all happy for him but inside she was seething with rage and jealousy. Her pretense of being happy for him was to make sure no one else would suspect her true intentions. I believe she even wrote in her journal things to make her look like the bigger person who only wanted the best for Travis. She knew those journals would be read, just like she knew the journals she wrote after the killing would be read and it was filled with as much garbage before the murder as after the murder. She was just a little too anxious for the police to get their hands on them (don't forget my journals that are hidden in my safe). It was all part of what she thought was the perfect murder. No one would suspect her because she lived so far away and no one would ever know she was in Mesa, besides she had a new man and wasn't interested in Travis anymore so why would she want to kill him? I believe her decision was in February and whatever Travis had on her pushed her into acting on that decision.

I know. There is no way he can even call 16 rebuttal witnesses. It was an exaggeration for emphasis. Can't take any more of the trial. Just can't. I want the jury to hit the deliberation room and get this dog and pony show on the road.

Even after some jurors asked a bunch puzzle questions?

There's an ******** on that jury who will cause at best, a hung jury or at worst an acquittal, unless Juan delivers a smoking gun.

Only the jury questions regarding Dr. Dick S. copying the answers to his test sheet were pro-prosecution. Most of the rest were trick questions.

Others were just plain stupid. Why would anyone ask, "do you consider deleting pictures and washing the camera an attempt to destroy evidence?". Really? Who would even question that? Somebody buying the defense's nonsense? The question, "when Jodi said that no jury will convict me, could that have been due to her BPD?", also appeared to support the defense. A juror leaning toward not guilty looking for an "innocent" explanation for Jodi's television proclamation? That's how I took it.

OT but I did a series of paintings once on labels. Called one 'Pin and mount me like a Butterfly' and it showed little girl dolls with labels like 'unstable' etc after a horrible experience with a gallery where they told people I was psychotic because I paint in red predominantly and called my mother to tell her that they thought I was 'bipolar' ***** I DID NOT NEED. Labels can be VERY destructive if used incorrectly.

lol, back in the 70s my parents were brought in to kindergarten to discuss the fact that I seemed to always choose black and red paint during finger painting time. They sensed abuse...I remember very clearly that the first few weeks I tried to get other colours, I was pushed away by the class bully who took the other colours and I ended up with black and red...so I had a black and red period of cats, houses, family portraits etc. My parents knew why I used mainly those colours and thought I was smart to make them mine..My parents put them straight but I swear I was always looked at like a very young trauma survivor who was actually extremely happ-go-lucky and a pacifist who didn't care if the bullies took blue and yellow . I fought about music lol

I doubt that you have "old lady eyes" since the Ouchi Illusion looks a bit wonky to everyone. Sorry about that :greetings:

I'm not. She was pulling at straws trying to poke holes in Dr. D's education and experience. Epic fail imo.
I learned something new today...
Fool around with straws too long
and ya could end up with a bunch o worms!

(NO I will NOT be making these EVER!)

don't be shy! be you! WELCOME TO YOU BY THE WAY!!:rocker: come on and de-edify us! (would love to hear your perspective on this word edify as well)

Thank you for your welcoming!! :loveyou: haha, by the looks of it, you seem to be familiar with the hidden context of "EDIFY!" I would hate to beat a dead horse if this has already been discussed, but "edify" is such a mormoney term. It is used all too frequently when talking about marriage and relationships. "A husband and wife should edify each other." We all know that Jodi is a wordsmith who wants to show her (feigned) "intelligence" through her vocabulary. When Jodi went over kill on the word "edify," I got the impression that she was so excited to add 'edify' her mental vocabulary bank and use that word in every way she could. (However, she isn't smart enough to know that the negative of edify is NOT de-edify! ) Also, she knows that fellow Mormons/exmormons would pick up on her jargon...at least I love to

Was doing a little sleuthing/creeping. Now I see where JA got the word "Nay" in her "journal" entry (because we know she has no original thoughts, etc)...

Oh my, I knew I should have stayed away from that link. I'm so sad now! TA had so much to offer this world, that's evident by his blog postings alone, JA robbed TA's family as well as the rest of the world of him and robbed him of his life. It just makes me sick.

Another point I recalled from reading TA's blog. When ALV talked about TA's abusive childhood she left out on really important thing that didn't benefit JA (I know, shocking). As a child TA did have what psychologists term a "helping adult". His great-grandfather Vic was his helping adult in his early years and his grandmother came in a bit later. In the book intro he posted he wrote that his great-grandfather ended every visit with him by saying "Travis, you need to know that you are special, that there is not anything that you can't do. There is something great inside you. You're special Travis, don't you ever forget it."

A helping adult, for those who haven't heard this term, is a stable adult that provides a child in abusive circumstances a positive example as well as emotional or even physical (food, shelter, etc) support. It doesn't have to be as significant as one might think, just enough that the child feels, even momentarily, worthwhile and special.

Having a helping adult during an otherwise abusive childhood greatly increases the chances that the child will grow up without or with less damage from the abuse they suffered.

It doesn't matter that MH wasn't so interested in Travis. she knew it.[/QUOTE] (resp. snipped for length).

Have you noticed that whenever Jodi talks about Mimi and Travis she says "that was before I knew she had rejected him" and she says it with that kind of haughty/satisfied look she gets during the trial at times? It makes her sooooo happy to this day that Mimi had "rejected" him...you can SEE it in her eyes. So evil.

The bear/tiger question bugs the chit out of me. The person who posed it either has an inflated ego or is dumb as chite can be. What was the point? What were they trying to understand? HINKY METRE (Pinellas effect_ for me. Bleh.

I hope that I am wrong or that the person gets eliminated.

For or against the State, there is something not quite right with that question.

If I didn't know better , I'd swear I was watching Tin Fey doing Palin doing JW this week (and most of the trial). If the circumstances of this crime weren't so tragic, I probably would have laughed but I cringed and fumed instead..
Now that you've said it...I confess! Every time I see JW, I think of Tina Fey playing Sarah Palin. Watching her grill Dr. DeMarte on the journals she reads on a regular basis; the last DV book she read, titles of articles, experts/authors who influence her findings, etc., and (incorrectly) challenging Dr. D that Lenore Walker no longer uses her six criteria for BWS when evaluating/diagnosing clients. Could have been an SNL skit of Fey (as Palin) getting revenge on Katie Couric for the infamous "what newspapers do you read regularly" interview.

Why would anyone ask, "Do battered women sometimes resort to killing their abusers to escape them?"

Why???????????????????????????????????????????????

She traveled 1000 MILES to murder him! She wasn't trying escape Travis!

But nevertheless, a juror asked that question!

There's one or more people on that jury that are pro-defense. I know it.

Listening to Mimi Hall again....

If JA knew definitively that MH wasn't romantically interested in TA, would he still be here? I'm wondering if the murder would have happened anyway, if not on June 4th, than at some other point.

I know, I've thought about that. I think it would have. I don't see it as she came there with an either or about the cancun trip. She came there to kill him as demonstrated by her efforts to conceal her trip. I think it had much more to do with the phone calls, texts and ims a few days before the killing.
