The case of Catherine Hoggle, who "disappeared" her two children, Sarah (2) and Jacob Hoggle (3), in September 2014 in Montgomery County, Maryland and has allegedly not been able to be restored to competency, and has been deemed unfit to stand trial. She is malingering and continues to languish in a mental health prison facility, "hiding out". The judge dismissed murder charges against her on Wednesday, 30 November 2022. The case has burned my rear since she was arrested in 2014!

So, the crux of the matter: we watch literally hundreds of murder documentaries (murder *advertiser censored*) and we are meh to 99.9% of them - just the right amount of self righteous indignation to make ourselves feel good, to justify our voyeurism into the real life macabre. So why does everybody have a special pet murder case that can't be shaken. Y'all know what I'm talking about - that one case that rankles and itches.

The disappearance of Crystal Rogers. Mother of 5 went missing in Virginia I believe. There have recently been charges brought against someone in the case but it has taken about 9 years and they still have not found any trace of her body. They have a documentary on Peacock and her poor mother just broke my heart. You can tell that poor lady is just broke. Someone also shot her father supposedly because he got to close to finding out the truth about what happened to his daughter.
 
The Claudia Lawrence case confuses me no end and just as I figure out what I think happened another theory comes into play. Having said that a guy is going round YouTube posting what apparently happened to her and reading it does make sense, especially with a few of the things being mentioned which makes me think even more that the police know, they also know the alleyway guy too yet ask the public to come forward with who it is, again….this case honestly makes no sense at times. It’s kinda scary how many people apparently “know” what happened to her in York too, yet no convictions.

Claudia Lawrence from York, England. Unsolved, unfound, yet LE probably a very good idea of those responsible for the disappearance and cover-up.


Jodi Arias. From the actual relationship with Travis Alexander, through LE interviews, Arrest and Multiple changes of story, to the compelling horrorshow of the trial, jawdropping.

What makes you think there was a cover up? , I hear this a lot but never understand why or for what reasons, would love to know your thoughts

Hi, I meant the cover-up amongst certain local people involved, rather than in the investigation itself. Sorry if misleading :)

Respectfully providing a slight correction: Crystal was from Bardstown Ky. Same place where another unsolved case happened (and one that burns my butt) - the murders of Kathy and Samantha Netherland.

Im pretty sure I saw a Docu on the CR case but I cant recall the name of it! Was her father shot from a treeline on his own property or am I muddling cases up?

No doubt. At the time of the murders I worked with the brother of Amy Ayers, and her, and their family were in the business where we worked regularly. It was a really tight knit group. Still keep up with him.

don't need to specifically name names of course, but do either you or Amy's family have any suspects in mind? or is everybody just completely lost?

this is another case i want solved SO BADLY

i hate to say it but i think the jury made the correct decision with Casey just because the case wasn't as airtight as it should've been. A lot of the evidence had deteriorated and wasn't there so logically with what they were presented and the legal guidelines they were given, it's not really that surprising they returned a not guilty verdict. we all hate when someone innocent is found guilty so in order to prevent that this is the same side which we have to accept. the jury only took into account what was (or was not) presented and separated it from all the massive publicity and i commend them for that.

Angry that the Rhoden/Gilley Case is taking way too long. Covid only stopped it for 4 months.

8 people from one family were killed in 3 homes and one camper in rural Pike County Ohio on August 22, 2016.

A mom and dad (Billy and Angela Wagner) and their 2 adult sons - George W. and one year younger Jake W. were arrested on November 13, 2018.

The mom and younger brother took plea deals and the oldest son lost at trial, he was convicted of 22 felony counts.

The mom and younger brother testified at the older brother's trial. They did this only because the prosecution said the death penalty would be dropped for all 4 Wagners if they (mom and younger son) turned State's Evidence - this means they both had to testify for the STATE OF THE PEOPLE OF OHIO. Because they testified the death penalty was dropped for all 4 Wagners.

Now finally in the earlier part of 2025 Billy is supposed to have his trial. For the last several years
He was not always living with his wife and 2 sons so he uses this as an excuse to say he did not know about the plot and he was not involved.

But by the time Billy's trial is finished it will be close to 9 years since his crime and close to 6 and 1/2 years since his arrest. Unless there are more postponements.

Angela and Jake MUST testify at Biily's trial to keep the DP off the table for Angela, Jake and Billy.

So check this out!

Because Angela and Jake have still not testified at Billy's trial they (Angela and jake) have not been able to be sentenced yet. George had to listen to victim impact statements and got multiple life sentences so he is 100% said and done with his 22 convictions and LWOP sentences.

He was sent from Ohio to Rhode Island due to safety concerns. I called RI and pretended to be a friend and got the opinion that in Ohio there are death threats against George so they needed to keep him away from Ohio.


This is dragging out too long and a few family members have passed away waiting. Justice should happen quicker, especially multiple murders.

Four cases rankle for me, none proven to be murder yet - Madeleine McCann, Ben Needham, Andrew Gosden and Claudia Lawrence.

JonBenet Ramsey. Jaclyn Dowaliby, adbucted and murdered out of Midlothian IL.

Jennings 8. Case from Jennings Louisiana in which 8 women were found brutally murdered in the space of a few years. Law Enforcement was implicated and the cases were never solved. This case was a multi-jurisdictional case and was later to become the book "Murder on the Bayou" by Ethan Brown and Showtime documentary. The ladies were known drug users who were often arrested for prostitution but were humans beings who did not deserve to be murdered and still deserve justice.
 
Lena Chapin Missouri missing person. She helped her mom, Sandra, clean the crime scene and burn his body after she shot her husband. He was reported missing and still have not found any remains. She told the man's brother what happened years later, and she went missing. She was 13 at the time. And the only person who knew the truth.
