What Do You Think the SA Should Have Asked, But Didn't

I also think they should ask CA about the molesting, its already out there, they have nothing to lose. The State needs to address it and have CA say it under oath.

A lot of things but mainly I wish they would ask all witnesses about how Casey felt being a mother, what she expressed to them about having a child so young etc...
I mean if the defense has the motive of her wanting Caylee out of the way of her fun I feel like they need to ask more for examples of this. So far I have only heard this from Amy. It had to come up with Tony, all her other boyfriend... Dontchathink?

Great topic! Great to have the chance to say here "the SA should have asked" as well as to figure out ourselves why the SA didn't ask. Here's mine:

The SA needs to ask Tony if he ever remarked to Casey that he'd want boys, not girls, when he had children.

Everyone keeps talking about the SA needing to show a solid motive. That's a motive--especially now that the jury is being persuaded that ICA was in love with Tony. And it's a believable motive now that Baez is busily portraying ICA as a pathetic wacko.

Right or wrong? LOL

I want to know why when the SA asked Cindy when she stopped looking for
zanny and CA said "about six weeks ago", why didnt they ask her why, or what changed?

Good point.

Too bad they can't inquire about all the money KC has stolen, but since it doesn't have anything to do with the killing of Caylee Anthony, they can't.

I would have expected the SA to ask Cindy if ICA had ever told her that George and/or Lee were molesting her.

Something tells me the SA (with GA's denial), is not going to give this accusation much credence since it is merely another story from ICA, which is proving to be questionable, at best. I bet they are going to discount it as another 'imaginary' tale in their closing, if ever at all.

I think they put GA up there right away to diminish the effects of this grandiose statement and then just proceeded with their case in chief. I'll bet big money that it will never be addressed by anyone other than JB during the trial. ICA will have to testify to this and explain why there is no real history to present- only after the crime was committed did she EVER mention this to anyone and this, we know, will never happen.
To repeat myself, this will be treated as just another fictitious statement to put the spotlight on someone or something other than the fact that ICA murdered her child without help, without provocation.

Mine is with TL - why wasn't he asked about him waking up in the middle of the night to ICA shaking and sweating and pretty much freaking out?

I would have thought that would come out when he was a witness for the defense.

I would have expected the SA to ask Cindy if ICA had ever told her that George and/or Lee were molesting her.

The state seem to be totally against playing JB's game though. they are sticking to their way and not giving him any fuel to help him prove anything or showing that it concerns them.

Great thread cause I feel the same way :)

I wished it came out that ICA sold photos for $90,000 plus and handed it straight to JB.

Only IF LDB knew what the answers would be, of course ....

I'd have liked for LDB to ask Cindy on re-direct, "prior to July 15th, 2008, if Cindy had ever seen photos of, or talked on the phone to any of ICA's non-imaginary friends" (like Tony, Amy, Ricardo, Clint, JP, etc.).

Great thread cause I feel the same way :)

Yep! :)

I wished it came out that ICA sold photos for $90,000 plus and handed it straight to JB.

I could've sworn I heard ICA got $250,000, which she handed over to JB (HUGE waste, that!). And, that she owes $68,000 to the IRS just in taxes on the money she received for photos she sold.

Have any of you ever read "The Bad Seed" or seen the play or film? The book tells that the child inherited her cruel insanity from a grandmother who murdered several people and as I recall she disappeared. Her daughter was adopted, but her child, Rhoda, inherited her grandmother's psychopathic personality. I think the movie (as I recall) left out the inherited part. Anyway, as I'm relatively new to this trial, Cayce reminded me of this book/play which won so many awards, and I wondered if Cayce had a history of abusing other children or pets while she was growing up as Rhoda did. Rhoda was so sweet when she wanted to be and so beautiful, she got away with murder, even as a school girl but as the book explains, she had no conscience. Looking back, is there any history of a disturbed personality with young Cayce? I don't know all the facts of this case at all, but I remember reading about it a few years ago, and then picked up on it when I heard the trial would be on TV, and began watching it. Something about Cayce's demeanor made me wonder if she had any conscience at all. Well, just asking. More about opinions and reviews of "The Bad Seed" at Amazon.

Baez keeps asking about the money made off Caylee's photos/videos...

He asked Cindy yesterday, so when will it be shown how much he and his client made off those same networks...

Baez talked about Cindy having a book deal, I believe he does as well, which is why he is taking the route he has..instead of just pleading his client guilty and negotiating the jail time, he's making this a lifetime movie event...he's sunk to a new level of low...:loser: JMHO

I LOVE this movie. I have it in my Netflix and watch it online at least once a month. I first saw it as a child and I'm 48, so that tells you how long it's been around. Scared the bajeezes outta me even back then.

Patty McCormick, who plays Rhoda, could easily be Casey's twin. Really good movie(I've never read the book, but it's now a must have)....If you all haven't seen it and have Netflix, watch it. It sums up this personality very well, and also explains how so many can be describing Casey to be charming, personable, nice, etc. The true Casey was just below the surface at all times. Not only was Rhoda a psychopath, but a sociopath AND Narcissist all wrapped up in one evil little mind (or by today's standards, they might all be one in the same, in some sense).

Mine is the fb post that is in my signature. Amy says that KC "lost" her (Amy's) duct tape (I believe around the time of the anything-but-clothes party). I think this is HUGE, not sure why no one else thinks so (lol)

I'd also like to see all of KC's texts/FB/MS posts.. i think there are still some holes in dates as far as what we've gotten of all of those.

Justice for Caylee

I was wondering the same thing.

I thought that during a hearing (back in the Judge Strickland days) that Casey was asked by JS if her attorney had any movie or book deals that she has signed off on- I can't remember all the details but I watched it yesterday. Apparently it was to decide if there was any conflict of interest with Baez representing her.
I'll try to find it. So this book deal you speak of is confusing me. :waitasec:

The State won't bring up anything more than what they NEED.

The problem with that strategy is that the State ends up looking like they are trying to hide something. Before yesterday I commented that the State is refusing to ask any questions that may help Casey. They allow the defense to ask the questions. Then the State follows up to "explain" the answer that may have helped Casey.

The State went through all those questions about the locks on the sliders and Cindy's habit of taking the ladder out of the pool. I thought to myself they should have asked Cindy if Caylee was a climber.

During cross-exam Cindy admits that Caylee was tall enough to unlock the slider and that Cindy had made statements on June 17, 2008 about coming home and finding the ladder in the pool.

Obviously, the State knew about Cindy's previous statements about the ladder. If the State had asked the questions, they take away any impact by the defense. The State's follow up to Cindy that when she called George about the ladder he NEVER volunteered it was him so the only other person it could be was Casey made the State and Cindy appear to be hiding something.

I don't recall Casey ever being questioned at a hearing - other than being asked what she wished to plead "guilty or not guilty". But she never has appeared as a witness at any hearing that I remember.

Baez waived any rights to a book deal ages ago.

That's what I thought but LiveLaughLuv mentioned he had one.
