"I am told" being the key here. I'm sure CA & GA "tell" a lot of things, now whether that's what GA is really doing ....not so sure.

She has not been officially filed as a Defense witness - the Judge must rule on the Defense adding this witness past the deadline.

Above posted by ThinkTank on the motions thread. It certainly sounds like GA better be ready to be thrown under/or fall under the bus. Can't think of many reasons Baez & Co. would need this "necessary" witness.

Baez reluctantly revealed Thursday in court that he had gotten $200,000 through Casey's deal with ABC for Casey's photos and videos of Caylee, $5,000 from a donor he didn't disclose and another $70,000 through an unusual contribution from his former co-counsel Todd Macaluso.


Coincidentally or not, Lyon said her DePaul University Law Clinic had raised $70,000 in donations for Casey's defense.

So Casey Anthony had a total of $345,000 private funds used up by Baez, add to that the over $100,000.00 they have billed the State of Florida, so far.

And the news media only mentions that Casey Defense fund was $200,000.00

Yes, agreed, there is a difference. GA just should be careful what he starts lying about. It's one thing for the DT to throw him in there as a potential murderer, it's another if he gets on the stand and starts changing his story to help ICA out.

Hi everyone. I don't post often - usually checking out what the amazingly brilliant sleuths on here have to say...But my two cents is that he will go with the defense only so far, and then he will break and tell the truth. George is not going to go to jail for anyone. He will probably push it until he faces certain perjury charges, and then reverse and let it all out. Of course we know at that point that at least CA and ICA will have nothing more to do with him in his lifetime (and he will probably be better off - so I hope he has a good therapist lined up, because I think he is ill-equipped to deal with that). Perhaps LA will come back to him after the conviction? Because they are probably the only two the will ever face what has happened. It's very sad that they feel they must lie to protect her, knowing what she did to their granddaughter. At any rate, just my two cents. Thanks for listening!

Why is there speculation that he is not living at home? Has this been observed?

Has anyone monitored this family's actions since the arrest? What do they do all day? Are they looking for work? We hear about CA's church friend. Does she actually go to church? Do people see her there?

If the main motive for the murder is kc not wanting to be a mother and wanting to party, why hasn't there been more investigation to her life and that of her family's prior to '08?

I don't recall a single interview of any of her teachers. What else did she do in her teen years besides go to school? Was she in any clubs or sports? What did she do after school? What did Lee do? Were they latchkey children? Who monitored KC and Lee? She DID learn to drive. What did she do with herself after high school (besides get pregnant) all day long? Who actually worked with her at Universal when she did work there. Was was she fired?

What did George and Cindy do besides work? Did they have any friends? If so, where are they now?

I thought it was extremely interesting the day CA's supervisor gave testimony. It showed that there are other people who have observed their behavior besides LE. There have to be more people like this.

I guess I am curious because you just don't wake up one day and murder.

The Anthony family has lived on Hope Spring Drive since 1989 - 22 years. There has to be extensive history prior to 2008. I'm sure there's teachers and students that remember Casey during her school years. I'm sure many remember Lee. If there was anything outstanding in the way of behavior of either of them, I'm sure it's remembered. Did either participate in school sports or clubs? Were Lee and Casey good students, just average, or trouble-makers? We've heard nothing, and I'm sure that when the news of Caylee's disappearance broke, there's people who remembered both Lee and Casey. I'm sure there were people who said, "she was in my class in 5th grade", or "she's the younger sister of a guy that was in my 6th grade class."

Our only source of information has come from a few neighbors and the information was pretty much negative and pertained mostly to the last few years prior to Caylee's death.

We've heard from a few of Cindy's co-workers, but I don't think anyone who's worked with George at any of his jobs in Orlando has come forward.

There's been no mention of any long-term friends, with the exception of the former co-worker of George in Ohio, who came to stay with the family for a few days, and was there when Tim Miller met with the family.

In almost every incidence where a family has a sudden tragedy, friends and neighbors jump into action, bringing meals to the family and helping with anything needed. The media was camped out in front of the Anthony home early in the case and set up a webcam. During that time, I never saw anyone other than family members, attorneys, or LE coming and going from the home. There were no friends and neighbors coming with food or help.

I'm sure there's a history of the family among the neighbors, with co-workers of both George and Cindy, and at the schools Lee and Casey attended. But there a real absence of any information about the family during the years prior to Caylee's birth.

Any authors planning to write a book about this case should consider this angle, and interview those who knew the various members of the family during Casey's childhood and teenage years to get a better perspective.

I go back and read his state depo where he tried to say he was there, waiting to walk Casey home only to do the math and figure he was not even in the neighborhood. The same with what he told LE about chasing her. BS. BS. BS. I think I have a good indication of what GA is all about. He's a self indulgent type with a very thin skin. He took out credit cards in his wife's name, according to SP who no doubt got her info from CA.

So, going by WS'ers and friends, GA has been seen at Hopespring Dr., doing yardwork, etc... recently, and going to a fast food place or 2, but not at the hearings. Some think he is looking for work, some don't.

Is his absence from the hearings part of some DT strategy, or just GA doing what he wants to do? Is GA making a statement or just going with the flow?

GA is no angel, but on the other hand this information about the credit cards came from CA and the only person we know of who took credit cards out in CA's name was KC. So you have to wonder if GA was blamed for what KC was actually doing. We see in CA's deposition how KC was an A student but in her junior year she had to take English at summer school which means she did not pass it in 11th grade and did not pass her English class in 12th. CA admits she was getting zeros. Zeros mean you were not doing your work, period. CA lies and you have to wonder how much of what she told her mother was the truth. She even lied to her mom about KC being pregnant.

But you are right. It's hard to know which one is the sickest. jmo

That's in a nutshell how I see George too. Compounded by the conflict of of being prior LE as well. George is not very complicated, yet he has allowed himself to fall into a very complicated situation. I just wonder how he copes with all his internal conflict. I just don't see him as having the ability to compartmentalize like CA and ICA can so easily.

I doubt he copes at all, he is just living it. He probably has a ton of guilt, not about KC, but about the way he has treated his wife over the years. Cheating on a spouse is said to be, to the one cheated on, like experiencing the death of a loved one. And after the true death of Caylee? That, along with the money lies, leaves him deeply in moral debt to CA.

And if ya think for one second she isn't keeping score, well...

In some ways I have to wonder if GA turning the corner towards buying into CA' s defense of KC was his way of trying to repent to her. Timing makes sense-he went from knowing KC did it, to distancing himself from CA (with River) and once the thing with River ended, he had to go back home and fix it. Instead of urging CA to fix it with him, he decided to sacrifice intellectual honesty for CA's sake and to make her happy.
Never works, probably also why he is not in court lately-Left with a crippled version of their already troubled marriage and a daughter and granddaughter where they are respectively, it's no wonder he's too volatile to go to court. He is handling too many things too incorrectly, and it's mounting-IMO.

Now, I am sure we have plenty of advice here at Websleuths on how GA can really turn things around and make things right...he still has a chance to make sure that his relationship with Caylee remains forever pure-Telling the jury the truth is a brilliant start.

I asked a friend in Oveido to check when she drove into Orlando. She did and said both GA's and CA's auto's were in the driveway....and the garage door was open. This was about 3 weeks ago.

I used to see George all over town when he had the tent up. I've seen him a couple times around town the past few months...but very little. He looks like a very, very sad man.
