It is "baffling that the sheriff's department wouldn't have found a body, if it was indeed there in August," he said. (A's atty)

NO,your clients behaviour is BAFFLING if you ask me.

:clap::clap::clap: at least they are willing to admit to truth.....in searching for the real truth...and lets be real....Caylee was found when she was found...hindsight is 20/20 and we are human....(however, I am sick over it)

Can you post the link? Because I think people understandibly still view the original report as accurate. I mean they ran it all over Fox, then there's only one little blip recanting. Thanks!

I don't have the actual link to the footage or transcripts but there are a few post from yesterdays thread that are quoting what Fox reported so I'm assuming that Fox actually did recant the original story as you said.

I'll see if I can find the Post' & the Thread & post the link

Holy Cow, just when I thought things were wraping up in this case. I think I would now PAY to see this story made into a movie because folks you can't get any stranger than this.

I was suspecious when I heard this meter reader found the skull after releaving himself in the woods. Now we find out he called 3 times prior about the very same place? Not good, not good at all. How can the police still call this man crediable. He just fed the defense all they need.

I don't believe this man is connected to Casey, but it certainly puts a huge doubt in my mind about his involvement.

Infestations, venomous snakes, poisonous spiders, camouflaged scorpions, growth that can rip a person apart? Those teens partying in the zone sure are brave little buggers.

The above quotes from my descriptive posting regarding Florida's environment, really are not an exaggeration.

They are not necessarily brave little buggers.

They are hiding from cops and parental types...that's all.

I have all those things just a few feet into the woods behind my house. Moving into the undergrowth a couple of steps can be taxing.

The teens go back there to party. They care about being out of the public eye. This can be accomplished without going on safari.

My words are not anything but an accurate description of Florida terrain, here. Honest!:blowkiss:

The meter reader probably went through all kinds of moments in his mind doubting himself and his perception. Then thinking about what a mess it would be if he were the one to actually find the body, the repercussions. Maybe he did poke at the bag before and some bones came out, but not enough to determine it was human remains, not enough to convince him to override thinking it's just an animal, to overcome fear and explore further; not until the skull.

God I hope this guy wasn't investigating on his own.......This might complicate things..... argggggg

Geeze, front page of Fox says "Cops Grill Caylee Tipster". But you click on the link and the title says "Cops Re-interview Caylee Tipster, Find More Bones at Crime Scene"

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,469785,00.html

I think that the police do an excellent job and have been very concerned with this case. Especially with all the media coverage. It is understandable why they would want to interview the tipster. I can also understand why they have questions for him.

Per the story it says "Orange County Sheriff's officials say they believe the unidentified tipster was in the area on Dec. 11 following up on his own lead when he discovered the bones and skull."

So wait he was following up on his own lead, or just stopped to take a whiz?

Not jiving folks. This man may be involved. He tried to lead investigators back there several times. Even after the scene was so called "cleared" he returned to that site, now to do his own investigation?

Many murderers return to the scene of the crime and perhaps he wanted Caylee to be found.

It IS frustrating, that this shirking of duty and carelessness could cause a delay of almost four months permitting the defence so much wiggle room and fingerpointing. But honestly at this stage, I can only praise God Caylee's remains were EVER found. I was being haunted by the thought of her somewhere "out there," so I'm just grateful she can be finally given the dignity of a burial. As for all the talk of hinky meters going off on the meter reader, these guys are likely assigned to a route which meant he was in the area regularly so doesn't strike me as strange at all if, having reported several times with no actual follow through, he persisted. JB, LK-B and all of the rest can spin it any way they want, but I am confident jurors will see through the smoke and mirrors. JMO

On Aug 13th this meter reader returned with an officer and the scene was "cleard". Now how many of us would return to a scene to search on our own if it had been cleared? I want to know more about this man and his connection to Caylee

Well, the hinky meter is malfunctioning. Either it's on the low end of the scale or way up over the top.

Co-Worker: Snake Scared Off Deputy Checking Tip Near Caylee Home
More Skeletal Remains Discovered; Search Site Expands

POSTED: Thursday, December 18, 2008
UPDATED: 8:15 am EST December 19, 2008
ORLANDO, Fla. -- A co-worker of the man who last week discovered a skull and the remains of a child in a wooded area near the home of Caylee Anthony's grandparents said the deputy who checked on the man's first tips -- made in August -- was scared off by a large snake.

Reposting here from another thread:

Apparently (and maybe someone in Orlando or the surrounding area can confirm this), WFTV broke in with breaking news about an hour or so ago on their station locally, or so I have heard, with the following:

- The County's spokesman called the WFTV and told them they had the wrong name for the meter reader
- The meter reader who reported the finding last week is not the same as the one who reported the tips back in August
- The meter-reader is NOT the name Gonzalez as reported before
- They didn't give the meter readers's name, and he's making a public appearance tomorrow
- The meter reader has an attorney at County's expense..

I also updated this in a later post to add that the specifics about when the breaking news occurred on TV - was about 7pm before Jeopardy

Not sure about this because if the remains turn out to be Caylee then does it really matter that it took them 4 months to find the body? I suppose defense could argue that if they over looked something like this then its possible they over looked evidence that someone else killed Caylee? Or maybe some physical evidence was lost because of the delay in time which might have freed the defendent?

Who knows. I have to just say I am generally more of a defense attorney than a prosecutor, but this case seems to have me flipped. Even with all my doubts everything still leads back to KC.

I would, especially if it was nagging at me.
