So I am just confused by this man's statement, originally we were told he stopped to releave himself, now we are being told he was following up on his own hunch or tip even after leading an investigator there. Hmmm, doesn't sound fishy to you and he said he discovered the back while releaving himself? Would be interesting to note if this man really did releave himself? or was that just the excuse he used for suddenly "discovering" the bag?

IMO, the meter readers hunch or tip is the meter readers nagging thought that wouldn't go away. So he went back.

Have the police said that is what he was doing at the time? The media is often wrong. I think he thought the police did not do a thorough search and when he was back in the area, he went to check it out himself.

I don't find that odd at all especially since the water had only receded a couple of weeks before she was found.

The police say this man has no connection to the Anthonys.

I think it still nagged at him and when the deputy got scared off by the snake he felt they did not throughly search where he was telling them to...

No, I don't find him odd at all. I do think he was a concerned citizens and he just wanted to be sure she wasn't out there being undiscovered. He may have young children himself.

Call me crazy but hearing all this confusing infos today made me think this will be getting very complicated and this will never end.I even thought for a moment that somehow I regret that these remains were found. Please don't get me wrong,I am glad that they were found but I am scared that the circumstances will make everything complicated and justice won't be done.

:rose: Caylee

I agree, we are already echoing the Ramsey case, shoddy police work, evidence that may suggest a third party. High profile "dream team". Conflicting stories all over the place, now even from the media. Casey may walk on this.

You may be right but as a potential juror, at this point, I would have enough reason to doubt. His story just doesn't add up.

In Florida Capital cases, does the jury have to come back majority or unaminous?

Exactly.

Somehow it haunted him. I would go back too if I just wasn't sure that LE had thoroughly searched the area. According to the information the deputy left when he came across a big snake.

Yeah, I don't buy it. If he went back he would have stated, you know I really felt his child was in this area so I went and searched again, which is what he is stating now. Not gee I went into the woods to releive myself and low and behold I found this trash bag. Now if he does in fact turn out to be the tipster that called in 3 times in a row regarding this area, my warning bells are going off.

I don't know what to think anymore. I responded to your post before I scrolled down and read that there may be another meter reader who gave the tips in August. Sigh. This case just gets stranger and stranger.

That is technically correct. Our meter reader made the calls in August. He had his boss make the call in December. He probably thought no one would pay attention if he called. Since no one did three times before.

Another case of the media stating something in a way that comes of wrong?

Per the story it says "Orange County Sheriff's officials say they believe the unidentified tipster was in the area on Dec. 11 following up on his own lead when he discovered the bones and skull."

So wait he was following up on his own lead, or just stopped to take a whiz?

Not jiving folks. This man may be involved. He tried to lead investigators back there several times. Even after the scene was so called "cleared" he returned to that site, now to do his own investigation?

Many murderers return to the scene of the crime and perhaps he wanted Caylee to be found.

On Aug 13th this meter reader returned with an officer and the scene was "cleard". Now how many of us would return to a scene to search on our own if it had been cleared? I want to know more about this man and his connection to Caylee

So I guess the meter reader borrowed KC's car too... no, I know, it must have been a mid-day rendezvous murder... w KC... en route... sandwiched in between meter readings...

Infestations, venomous snakes, poisonous spiders, camouflaged scorpions, growth that can rip a person apart? Those teens partying in the zone sure are brave little buggers.

JoAnn_W

JoAnn_W,
Yes there are venomous snakes that are deadly in swamps. I live in Louisiana and can tell you that a Coral snake can kill you pretty fast. I have seen one of them myself. My lawn guy found a BIG snakeskin when he was mowing. And I live in a neighborhood near town.

I have actually found a scorpion in my house............ It was when I had taken the screens down to wash and wash the windows.

In growth such as is depicted in the crime scene photos, you can run across anything. There are all kinds of snakes that could be there. There are spiders also.

I do not know how brave the teens were that went into that overgrowth with Casey. Terrain changes over time. We may not be seeing it as it was back then. But yes, it IS dangerous - period!

In Florida Capital cases, does the jury have to come back majority or unaminous?

unaminous. This is a murder case. She has to be found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. I just hope LE investigate this guy up and down and do not leave anything to suspect.

I hate to say it but I agree with those who think this has helped Casey. It does give a reasonable doubt, I have flags going off on this meter reader and I still believe its the same guy that called in tips back in Aug. If this guys last name is Gonzalaz (sp?) its really going to hit the fan! IMO. How can Casey be this lucky??????

If the deputy backed off because of a snake, didn't he have someone else he could call to help handle that type of situation? Doesn't Orlando have someone who can handle snakes? I would think they would since they are bound to encounter them working in that area? Protective clothing? Firearms? Weapons for just such a situation? Sounds like the deputy might have just blown it off, which doesn't make a lot of sense when a baby is missing just houses away in a media case where police suspect her mother and are looking for both a child and a body. I'm inclinded to think this deputy could have done a better job here.

I think they will. They are not going to leave an opening for the defense. I would probably do the same thing if I was the meter guy and I knew my tipw as not being taken serious.

Like I said a good defense only has to raise the possibility that she didn't do it. We already have that here unless we find out more information on this guy. Jose could say he was an old boyfriend getting back at Casey, etc.

It's just not reasonable for me to think if in fact this guy called in 3 times in a row to report that Caylee might be there to stumble across her skull months later when he went to the same area to relieve himself. Now if he isn't the same guy that called in 3 times in a row, who the heck is the other meter reader who called in? What's with these meter readers? Does he know this guy? Are they connected? Are either of them connected to Casey to Caylee. If I were an investigator I ceratinly would have a lot of questions for both gentlemen.

My warning bells aren't going off at all. However, if the ID came back as another child.....

BTW, did you all see the crime pics of what looks like Caylee's book on the ground? The book she was reading at the nursing home the day before her death?

Another thing.
Don't they have to report back ???
What did he say?I went there to check but was afraid of a snake and left without checking???

:waitasec:

I DON'T GET IT.

I have read this morning that his last name is not Gonzalez.

They already have left an opening. We now have reasonable doubt.

IF this guy is in anyway involved then he is just plain dumb. He should of kept his tips to himself and never found the body..
