I'am currently reading the truth of lie. (you should be thrilled sapphire ) It seems so fishy too me that the same couch that the dogs hit behind happened too be pushed all the way up against the wall! None of the other furniture was like that and it wasn't like that before may 3rd. Gerry told the police it was pushed back well they were looking for Madeleine. I don't understand that statement, how would pushing a couch back help you find your daughter? Did they think she was hiding under it. There is a lot of contradictions and lies coming not just from the McCann's but from there friends as well.

Also if you watch the McCanns on youtube, there are ample examples of them contradicting themselves and blatantly lying, for example Kates "draught" that blew the curtains open (the window was shut in another statement).

My honest answer, I believe a parent lost their temper and both covered it up. I don't believe she is missing at all. Which is why the M's Hv no fear of continuing their fund and their "searches". Good question and poll though.

It's also stated by a worker at the resort who was helping look for madeleine, that she had entered the bedroom and the window was only half open and the shutters raised.

I would like to know more about them and their story but what seems certain is their time socialising with the Tapas crew left them distinctly uncomfortable.

Their story is so vague and strange that I tend to believe it.

I also wonder why Gerry said "*advertiser censored** off, I'm not here to enjoy myself" when filmed on his "family holiday".

Was there another motive for the holiday, other than to enjoy?

Seems so...for Gerry, at least.

Gonacal is correct in saying if Madeleine was kidnapped, and the window was raised by the abductor then when MO went too do his check at the window it would have been open. I don't think Madeleine was murdered by either one of her parents in the sense that they hurt her. I think she was murdered by neglect. I also think the British covered it up & the results of those lab test were only inconclusive because the British wanted them too be.

If you tell the truth, your story never changes. You also probably don't need to hire a PR guru or a truckload of fancy lawyers.

Kate even called her book "an account of the truth"...A massive Freudian slip one of their expensive staff should have noticed, somewhere along the way, on the journey to publication.

I'm watching it now. From the info from Scotland Yard, it sounds like the authorities may believe she was abducted as part of a trafficking ring

ETA: I don't think either of the parents had anything to do with it.

I honestly don't no what too hope for. It would be amazing for her too be alive, but I just don't think that's possible. The parent's may not have done anything too make her go missing, but they are the reason she's missing. Whatever way you look at it if they would have never left her alone she would still be here.

the tax driver story first came out in february 2008 when he said he saw madeleine with three men and a woman who looked like her mother on the night she disappeared, ie may 3


four years later it was in the papers again and five years later today, the story was rehashed, but the date was changed to may 4, to suggest she was alive after the 3rd may....????


the mccanns and their spokeaman poo poohed the original sighting as he had said he took her in his cab that night at around 8 pm....when we all know she was tucked up in bed that night!

If my baby was missing, the absolute last thing that would cross my mind would be to prepare a timeline for LE.

You would be out searching in the cold dark night, wouldn't you?

What father can sit down with his buddies and sketch out a "timeline", while searchers are crawling all over town looking for your baby?

Doesn't that mean that Gerry and crew expected to be asked to account for their movements?

Why?

If my baby was missing from her bed, I would be screaming her name, looking for her, rocking, sobbing, crying, panicking.

I would not be thinking of sketching out my own personal movements for the day...who cares if I had a cup of tea or a game of tennis before she vanished? It wasn't me, so none of that is relevant.

Settling down, tearing a cover off his own missing daughters book, then rehearsing their timeline (they did more than one draught) is not the thought process of an innocent, panicking father...rather, a butt covering guilty one.

It is also interesting to note Kate had no input on the timeline. She wasn't even in the room when Gerry and his cronies were creating it.

If you take it upon yourself (unasked) to create a timeline about your missing baby, wouldn't that baby's mother be an essential inclusion and source of information?

No, Kate sat on the bed while Gerry was staging, LE and the rest of the resort were out searching. She just sat there, literally, then got busy on the phone.

I've always wondered why people call others far away at 2am with tales of disaster they can do nothing about.

Why not wait till morning? Why ruin other people's sleep in a different country, when your baby could conceivably still be found curled up asleep in an odd corner somewhere?

Summoning attention for herself, not her child...a consistent theme with these two.
