Why is it that they made the Ramsey family out as being "The Perfect Family"?

right.Patsy said she bought them in NY for her niece.

several 1/2 way opened gifts were found in the basement...it is believed she hadn't gotten around to sending them yet.but, later on,Patsy's excuse was that JB wanted them,so she'd put them in the drawer.which is odd, because, as Deedee pointed out...the size 12's look just the same as the 6's,only bigger.so there would be no real reason for JB to have wanted them.the patterns were just the same.

right on,if he dressed her at all ! it's really only something a parent would be concerned with.an intruder would be more interested in just getting out of the house, esp. if JB had screamed.

We know somebody screamed. Eventually that particular neighbor. Melody Stanton left Boulder. You do not leave Dodge for a scream no one heard and only the police knew about:crazy:

The marks on the face are listed as 'abrasions' in the autopsy report. I think the stager of the sence deliberatey inflicted them for the "tortured and killed" scenario.

Right on. You most definitely could be right. That is not worse than anything else that was done to stage what they wanted.

People can we stick to the subject of the post and not the movie?
What is it about the Rammsey's that makes some people think they had the perfect family? and what is it about JonBenet that makes people think she was the perfect child?
Why it is that America was so shocked when they found out that JonBenet wet the bed? Every child does it, but because she was a "Beauty Queen" that was uncalled for for her to do that, so Patsy killed her over it?

she put them in the drawer and the intruder picked exactly those.

Actually, an intruder would never have found them, no matter WHERE they were kept. If they were put away with her other underwear, they were kept in drawers in her BATHROOM, not in her bedroom dresser, where most people keep their underwear. No one would ever think to look in a bathroom. I don't believe they were ever put in with her other panties, though. I believe they were in one of the partially unwrapped gifts right there in the basement, and no intruder would have known that either. I mean, how much time did this intruder think they had? "Gee, I better change her out of these bloodied panties- I better go back upstairs and look around her room- no, wait- her family might hear, so i'll just stay down here and unwrap these Christmas gifts IN CASE an extra set of these EXACT same panties was bought for someone else. " Sounds pretty far-fetched, right?

The intruder(s) had hours and hours of free roaming access to the house. Just about anything in any place anywhere was subject to being taken and used by the intruder for any purpose.

Where do you get this stuff??

LOL...yeah, he said to himself...(while looking through the drawers) "HMMMM...let's see....the panties that she is wearing is a size six, Day's of the Week pair, with flowers on them, so I HAVE to try and find another pair JUST LIKE THOSE. I am not quite SURE why I would like for them to be the same style, but I just do. Oh, what do we have here....a size 12 pack of the exact same panties...how fortunate. They are the wrong size, but they will just have to do". Of all the things for the "intruder" to be concerned with....this would definately not be one of them.

:) exactly Ames

and then he felt the urge to leave John a "little" message....
i would like Smit to explain how a sadistic pedo knew about the 118,000.

maya.morgen,
Well not quite. Although Patsy stated in an interview that JonBenet wanted those size-12's, so she opened them then placed them into her bathroom panty drawer. The interviewers pointed out that no size-12's were discovered amongst those taken away from the panty drawer as evidence, only size-4 to size-6's!

So Patsy was totally inconsistent, as per the pineapple, now the difference between the two is, one she denied outright the other she offered an explanation.

I would contend if Patsy had redressed JonBenet in those size-12's, she would have made sure the remaining panties were placed into JonBenet's panty drawer. All of which suggests to me that she is following someone elses plan?

No intruder would need to redress JonBenet in any underwear whatsoever, never mind remove the remaining pairs of size-12's, so the size-12's cannot form any part of an intruder theory either by us or the Ramsey's!

For a reasonably successful intruder staging to take place all that was required was JonBenet's body, naked and bloodied from the waist down, along with a garrote or ligature to be deposited into the wine-cellar, e.g. no blankets, no longjohns, no panties. These latter three items are redundant.

So its safe to assume that these items form a core part of the staging, and although superficially it may appear that the purpose is to portray a bedside abduction, the barbie-gown alone would have implied this. So I reckon the reason JonBenet is dressed is to hide something, to prevent the casual observer seeing something?

Then you have Patsy returning the remaining size-12's at a later date stating they were found in an unopened packing crate? But the detectives had searched the Ramsey house from top to bottom and they would not have missed those size-12's, so the only way Patsy could hand back the remaining size-12's with confidence was if they knew it was them that had removed them in the first place e.g. Pam Paugh. The Ramseys and their legal team must have realized that no intruder would redress JonBenet in size-12's then flee the crime-scene with the remaining clean size-12's while leaving the body behind!

Now who redressed JonBenet in the size-12's, if it was Patsy, why would she need to open all all the xmas-gifts, if it was her that had wrapped them then she would know which one held the size-12's, they may even have been gift-tagged?

It may be that something else was being searched for in those xmas-gifts?

The size-12's may have been located somewhere else, and placed onto JonBenet say upstairs. It cannot be part of the staging that an intruder opened all the xmas-gifts looking for the size-12's, then after redressing JonBenet removed the remaining pairs, since for the intruder this simply deposits more forensic evidence, uses up valuable time, and serves no purpose.

With the exception of a doorway through which he could take her from the house.

so the intruder took his time to use the stun gun on her
then he waited for her to wake up and fed her pineapple
then they played doctor for a while
then he bashed her head
he tied her up
he strangled her
he wiped her clean
her removed ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL his traces
he took the pineapple bowl back to the kitchen
the flashlight too(oh,he takes the rope and the duct tape with him,but wipes the flashlight clean and leaves it there........yeahhhhhhhhhhh)
he looks for pen and paper
he writes the essay
goes back to the basement and flies out the window

this happened in how many minutes?

i have a question:WHY DID THE INTRUDER USE THE PIECE OF DUCT TAPE TO SILENCE HER IF HE HAD A STUN GUN FOR THAT PURPOSE?

Worse than that: a stun gun wouldn't silence her at all. Quite the contrary.

Actually, there were not that many wrapped gifts left in the basement. The family gifts were opened Christmas morning, gifts were given out at the White's and at the stops the Rs made after leaving the White's. I am sure there were just a few gifts left that PR was planning to mail or give out after they returned from their vacation.
If PR knew the panties she had bought for Jenny were in one of those few boxes, it doesn't take that long to rip open a few boxes till the panties are found.

The intruder didn't have THAT long. You act like they spend the whole day and the whole night over at the White's, and that the intruder had FOREVER to roam the house. They were only there for APPROXIMATELY 4 hours. How did the intruder know where they had gone, when they would be back?

Shanny you have so underestimated the problem of wetting and soiling. It was DAY and Night and disruptive to those who knew her. Those who did read it as a signal of something major wrong. What also was wrong is most especially Patsy would try to present them as a perfect family way into overkill. Also not every child wets the bed that alone to the extent that the sexual abuse officers were called in when they found the amount of soiled underwear in JB's drawer still soiled like she was hiding the. Read the reports by Holly Smith. Shanny you really need to at least consider that the evidence that something was so wrong in that home. Dont discount it because much of it would rock your world had you been the investigator trying to unravel all this

It is also possible they had all that time there because it was home they lived there.

Exactly! That would have given them ALL the time that they needed...without the fear of being caught.

I'll ask RDI for one example in the history of crime, where it is known fact that a household member handwrote an extortion letter. Its about the stupidest thing you could do, especially when you knew the police would be finding a child murder. Its so stupid as to be 'unbelievable', and thats just what it is: unbelievable.

JBR's murder is no different that many others, except that the perps escaped the country. Thats why the trail is cold, nobody has come forward, nobody has matched the CODIS DNA or the handwriting.

Go figure.
