It is very clear Jason M and Ezra cared deeply for each other. I guess the prosecution was trying to show her state of mind prior to the incident. The texts about “punching him in the face” though aren’t really threatening, IMO, though I do find it interesting Jason kept saying he was concerned for both of them prior to the meeting. He even suggested Ezra email the journals instead of giving them to Alex in person. I don’t really have a good grasp for this case at all but has the State shown yet any premeditation on Ezra’s part? I’m not sure they have.

I just started following this. I'm very irritated that Court TV doesn't have the videos of the livestream to playback. I don't want all their commentary, I want to watch the trial. Ugh. I can't find it anywhere else, so I guess I'm stuck with what they put up at the end of the day.

I'm finding the trial pretty boring and am just waiting to see if she takes the stand. It seems like soooooo many law enforcement officers have been called.

It's not a full playback. It's just snippets of things that CourtTV thinks are important. But, it's all I've found, too.

I haven't been able to figure out just what happened and how it could have happened. I don't see Ezra being able to physically overpower Alex, but under the right circumstances I guess anything is possible. Another thing is how Jason followed her to Alex's house and lurked around even staying after the cops left. What was that. All the characters so far seem to be very strange. Ezra having traces of three different men on her private parts is disturbing. Makes me wonder how she could even be in a love relationship with anyone being that promiscuous. Was her self esteem so low she gave it up to any man that wanted her. Or was she hyper sexual and got off on being able to attract attention. And whats up with all the cutters?

They are a different bunch, that’s for sure. I wonder if Alex has more on Ezra and he was threatening to tell Jason? Maybe that’s what tripped Ezra. Also, Jason was so much older than Ezra he probably had the “power” in the relationship. The fact he was hovering around when she went to meet with Ezra says control to me. MOO

It will be interesting to see the cross exam of Jason tomorrow. Maybe i will get a better understanding of things once the defense gets finished with him.

Does anyone know John Hansen's approximate age? Unlike some people, I didn't find Jason particularly likeable. I'm bothered by the fact that a 34 year old was romantically involved with a 19 year old, particularly since he was apparently aware that she had issues. In fact, it appears that most of his friends are ten years younger than he is. I find that odd. Having said that, I suspect he was relatively truthful during his testimony.

I have looked and can't find anything else on YouTube other than what I posted earlier. I sure wish I could find just the trial days uploaded. I know that would be a bigger help. I am not always home everyday to watch the trial myself.

I'm starting to dislike him as well. I didn't realize he was that old until today when he wouldn't even answer a question about his own age without arguing with the defense attorney. He is arguing WAY too much.....every single thing.
There is currently a sidebar going on without the jury. The defense attorney is arguing a prior incident should be allowed into court because it speaks to Ezra NOT being a liar. Here's the incident: When she was 16 she had a traumatic accident involving a horse. A couple years later she had a bad car wreck and in the moments after the wreck she went into a dissociative state where she was asking about the horse and said her name was Monica. I believe the defense is wanting to call a nurse involved in that car wreck after-care. I was in the shower so I missed it, but I guess maybe this started to be brought during Jason's testimony and an objection was made.
In other news, they made a comment that said something like "this issue hadn't been decided yet....we were going to table it until after Ms. McCandless testified." So, I guess it's a definite she is testifying.
