I'm amazed how little coverage and interest this really gets around here. Seems like missing persons cases have gotten very litte closure. Anita Bucki, Stephanie Low, Kayla Berg, where are you?

Frustration. :stormingmad:

If she had left him and was posting ominous things on FB, I wonder why she was going to move back in? I feel like her friend knows more than stated here. She would know if Anita was afraid of her husband wouldn't she? Some people are very private, so I do't know that.

Curious the repeated assertions by LE that the husband is not a suspect...

Doesn't seem like he's been very vocal in the case either. Kinda makes you wonder.

Its seems like either she left everything behind to start a new life where no one could track her down, or she killed herself, or her husband killed her. To start a new life taking nothing, not her car or money or personal things, she'd need someone's help. I suspect the "talk" far into the night was more like an argument. Did it get out of control? Did he do something to her? Did she rush out of there mad and find somewhere to go and a way to get there? It's said that she cares very much for her son and grandchild, would she just leave them behind to start a new life? I tend to think that the husband had something to do with her disappearance. Maybe the police are saying he's not a suspect so he will be comfortable enough to let something slip that would lead to finding out what happened to her. I think its unlikely that someone came and kidnapped her during the short time that her husband was sleeping. And, according to him, she was dressed in clothes and not night clothes when he saw her last. Her husband might have felt threatened by her losing weight and starting a new life that she was in control of, not him.

I was wondering if there was any chance she had someone from a secret shelter for abused women come and pick her up and take her to an undiclosed location where her husband wouldn't find her and she could start a new life without the fear of being abused or killed. We have underground abused women shelters in our area where the woman is housed at a secret location and helped to get a new start elsewhere without the husband being able to trace her or know where she is. I think some woman are even relocated out of state.

She had not been living with her husband in awhile, as an article stated she lived with different people. If she were to go to a shelter why would she leave her car at the husband's house? And leave other belongings there as well?
It is possible she could be at a shelter, but why not drive the car away from the husband's house? Do you think it is possible then, that she left on foot from the house, or someone skirted her away in a vehicle to get away from her husband, if you think she might be at a secret shelter?
In my opinion, I don't feel she is at a shelter.

“I don’t know why she would have even gone to the house,” Cooper said. “Anita was leaving him. She hadn’t lived there in weeks.”

This is what Anita's friend said about her. So either Anita decided to go over there on her own, or perhaps she was "invited" over to talk with her husband, as in other articles, he says that they talked.....and she mysteriously disappears after that talk.....

Reminds me of Robin Pope. Strange, strange.

The Wisconsin State Crime Lab and the Department of Criminal Investigation are working with local officials to identify human remains which were found in Taylor County.

Because nearby Lincoln County has three open missing persons cases, officials there were notified. Neither the possible age nor gender of the person has been released so far. An autopsy is being conducted. The discovery of the remains was made last Friday.

This gives new hope to the families of 48 year old Anita Bucki, 56 year old Robert Cartwright and 21 year old Ben Wilberding. They are looking for closure.

Hey Ladies/Gentlemen; I'm new to this thread. And I think you're doing an awesome job.
Just a few blurbs/opinions I have to Add.
Oddly enough there was one lady, whom they've recently found; Danielle Jelinek that kinda mirrors this case. She got together with an ex and just "left everything behind". She was found 300 yards from his house; 6 months later. (official cause of death hasn't been released)
The thing that doesn't jive to me is the weather. I see where it would take them 6 moths to find someone in December but someone doesn't just leave everything behind in Spring on a chilly night. (I'm going to look up WHY the scent doesn't track for the dogs)
Also, the fact that she had two facebooks could also mean that she was being stalked via FB. My sister had to create another account and that's what it looked like. When someone shuts down their "old" account and starts a new one. JMHO
