Teens Allegedly 'Targeted' Doctor, Husband Found Dead in Ditch at U. Wisconsin

Authorities have arrested two teenagers, alleging the pair killed Dr. Beth Potter and her husband, Robin Carre, as part of a “targeted” attack that took place at the University of Wisconsin last week.

Investigators are alleging Sanford is “known to the family,” but did not specify how.

Both are charged with two counts of party to a crime for first-degree intentional homicide, and face life in prison if convicted.

It was calculated, cold-blooded, and senseless — and we will continue to do all we can to bring justice to Robin and Beth, their family, and their loved ones.”

Sanford and Larrue are currently being held in the Dane County Jail without bond.

For some reason this brought to mind the murder of Emma Walker by her rejected boyfriend. Tragic waste of lives lost...by death and by whatever drives some young men to violence, unable to handle their emotions of the moment.

In a few weeks or months, maybe they would have met another girl, or acquired the emotional maturity to look and feel beyond the anger or rejection that consumed them, took these lives, and destroyed theirs as well.

Or are they were already too damaged.

Who knows...but it is such a terrible waste on all counts.

A friend of Beth Potter's told investigators that Beth Potter told her the couple moved her daughter and Sanford out of their house because they weren't following their social distancing rules due to concerns about the coronavirus.

The couple's daughter told investigators that she and Sanford were at their residence the night of the killings, but surveillance video showed their vehicle near the Arboretum.Investigators also said the daughter and Sanford talked about how they could get money, and that her parents were "rich," according to the complaint..."
