Listen, that's a really smart observation. Interesting!
I'm never good at noticing things like that.
Once and a while these things hit me. Most of the time I'm really confused. Haha

Did you call the tipline?I saw one a little while ago and it had numbers written along the side on the side. Like as if someone marked up where it was damaged or what part would need ordering? Unsure but it made me skeptical that it was involved.
Just trying to catch up, but what struck me about the obit from an analysis standpoint is that it plainly states that Denise was preceded in death by James. That might seem like an inconsequential statement, or an obvious fact for those of us that have reviewed this case. But if James was shot first, and Denise only a few minutes later could you conclusively say who died first? I know it's grim business to analyze this, but doesn't that phrasing tell us something new about the crime?
Perhaps there was an obvious time gap between the two deaths/gun shots? Or was Denise heard still alive on the 911 call? This also informs us that the two gun shots heard by the neighbors, most likely weren't the only gun shots in the house that night. I know many of your theories support this timeline, but somehow LE and the family knows conclusively.
James was preceded in death by his father, James Closs and wife, Denise Closs.

Hadn't seen this posted yet:
Case Of Missing Wisconsin Teen Hits Home For Area Woman
It doesn’t happen here every night, but it does happen. My area must be odd, compared to most places, then. MOOWe live in the suburbs, yet one block away from a large canyon. In our neighborhood on any given night we will see coyotes, skunks, opossums, raccoons (as large as dogs), and California grey foxes, bobcats and mountain lions (but usually only on camera as they are incredibly shy except one time a male came into a neighbor’s home in the day - it was quite the event). Hearing gunfire in the middle of the night even with all the wildlife would definitely prompt calls to 911. I have attached a photo of the California grey fox that hangs out in our backyard...this was after it had eaten the neighbors’ free range Thanksgiving turkeys...

Why in the dispatch log do the police go to St Croix Casino?
Same thing we said about Jacob.
How could this happen in a little town like St. Joe....?
Uh. I should clarify:Did you call the tipline?

No school on the Friday before. Monday was a regular school day.
Barron Area School District - School Calendar
Emergency department staff are always alert for patients with injuries that appear to be crime-related. Also for injuries that don’t match the description of the incident or mechanism of injury that the patient provides.
Yes, same thing said for so many. It's unbelievable, terrifying and absolutely heartbreaking.
Just like Delphi, Indiana. You just don’t think horrific crimes can happen in small town America.
Both are shown as predeceased by their spouse.
So does being on WebSleuths...
Ive been trying to fugure that out as well. Its odd bc it is not even close by. Its 200-some miles north. Why single that county out? Unless someone has a hunting shack up there. Moohttp://media.graytvinc.com/documents/barron+county+call+log.pdf
Just curious, On the dispatch log, 6th page, 8th entry down, why would they be faxing info to Ontonagon county Sheriffs Dept. That is in Michigan. Just something I didn't notice before
Oh! Sorry, I misunderstood!Uh. I should clarify:
I meant I saw a photo of the car the pulled up from Osh Kosh. I saw it online after it was pulled up. It had numbers written along the side as if it had been marked for replacement parts perhaps by a dealer? I don’t know if that’s what the markings mean or if LE made the markings after the pulled it up? No idea. Either way I didn’t call tip line as I’m confident LE has seen the car either live or via photos etc. I’m sure they’re investigating either way.
